I imagine the filmmakers cost a penny, given their success with 24/7 (though, to be fair, I have no idea who they are - the two production companies along with Zuffa are Positive Image Video and JMH productions - neither of whom produced HBO's series.) Plus that shit adds up. Flying to Hawaii ain't cheap, and they probably stayed there for weeks, ditto Montreal. Plus they are not using cheap equipment, it's clearly high quality shit they're using. They are actually using licensed music as well. Post must've drained a bit, too.

The CBC piece on the UFC is a bit ridiculous. Claiming Mauro is a 20 year MMA expert, when the sport isn't even that old, let alone Mauro being a completely retard about it when he started (and still a complete retard now) is funny... maybe they extended it to his pro wrestling days, or whenever his voice broke. The more glaring thing is that it looks to me like they took Dana responding to questions about competition and made it seem like he was talking about fighters (The "This is a war" speech). From hearing Dana talk about EliteXC in particular in the past, his rant was similar to that than the issue of fighter pay.

Yeah, this is only going to build, IMO. This show should do ridiculous buys. Also, the series cost almost 2 million to produce.
