The Ando-dying-was-the-impetus-to-Hiros-obsession-with-changing-the-past was a great character builder. Especially with Ando knowing that and not Hiro. Also, Parkman is a dick. I like how he went bad, though, cause his character has shown signs of going to the darkside. Bennett playing both sides was also great and him taking the bullet was a nice touch. The benefit to alternate histories is that you can do things like killing off characters and have it mean something without feeling the consequences in the plotlines.

The way they are building the showdown, you'd think they were putting Sylar vs. Peter on PPV Peter saving Hiro and Ando was rad, too.

This show is so fucking indulgent in it's influences that it's ridiculous. I'm not a big comics fan, though I was hooked on the Age of Apocalypse, but I loved Dragon Ball Z and the X Men cartoons and this just takes a lot of the stuff I loved and thought was dope about those shows and made it live action, gave it a budget, and put it in prime time. This future episode was SICK. Sylar being Nathan pretty much summed up this show and how they are not afraid to go in deep with the genre.

Yeah, that was definitely the moment. Fucking amazing.

In retrospect, the preview of this show from last week - about Team Pulver having a weak link - was about 1 minute out of a 44 minute episode.

If they do fight, Gabe will wreck Corey. They basically say Corey just started fighting beforehand, knew little, and only has had a little time (maybe 3 weeks total) under Team Pulver.

Completely ineffective. He wasn't in form, not firm at all in the strategy laid out. Flaccid, even. His only success was in making huge mistakes. Boners, even.

Ironically, Wang sucks. BJ laughing at Wang crying and then bitching at him is classic. He knew that Matt Hughes was in the area and felt like he had to be a bigger dick. DESOUZA!! OH SHIT GABE vs. COREY. They rarely ever announce fights ahead of time.

Cause Fox greenlights projects that require big budgets on the premise that big budget = big ratings. When they don't get the big ratings, then they pull out quickly. That said, DRIVE could have been made for a lot cheaper. A lot of the scenes are in freakin cars for cry out loud, how much could that really cost?

TUF 3 vet Starnes, 31, confirmed the middleweight match-up from American Top Team’s Coconut Creek, Florida training facility where he is preparing for his upcoming fight, indicating that the contracts have been signed and he is raring to go. “Leben’s a good striker,” said Starnes of his Oregon-based fighter’s unconventional style. “Obviously, working with Team Quest he’s a really decent grappler and his submission skills are getting better all the time,” said Starnes. “His stand-up is really unorthodox and unpredictable. I’ve been working my kickboxing two hours every day since my loss to Yushin Okami and I’m now to the point where I can hang with anyone sparring.” A member of highly regarded Canadian Revolution Fight Team, which recently added journeyman Brazilian fighter Jose “Pele” Landi-Jons to its roster, the Surrey, British Columbia native felt that moving his camp to Florida would pay off in Octagon dividends come May. “The guys here at American Top team are great,” said Starnes. “This is the best camp I’ve ever had preparing for a fight. I’m working with [bJJ coach] Ricardo Liborio, [boxing coach] Howard Davis and sparring with guys like Marcus Aurelio, Wilson Gouveia, Thiago Alves, Denis Kang and Minotauro [Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira]. I get up and come here and spar with Minotauro. It doesn’t get much better than that. Our gym [Revolution Fight Team] is great but I’m the top fighter there and you don’t get better unless you train with better fighters so this has been great for me. Pele just joined our team which has been excellent but I knew coming here would really help my game.” Although some fighters might consider a seven-month layoff from fighting to be a detriment to their training, Starnes’ body told him that it would need to repair before allowing him back into the Octagon – he suffered a broken nose in his Oct. 2006 UFC 64 fight with Okami and harbored another serious injury coming into the match that hindered his training. Part of his absence was ordered by the Nevada State Athletic Commission as a result of his loss. “Even though I wasn’t unconscious they ruled it a TKO and I was put on a mandatory three-month medical suspension. I was fighting with another injury that didn’t allow me to train 100% so the time off allowed me to heal up,” Starnes explains “I’m not making any excuses for the loss, I’m just glad to be training 100% healthy this time. It makes a real difference.” Leben is coming off a submission loss to Canadian Jason MacDonald at Dec. 30’s UFC 66. I enjoyed that fight. Not too much action, admittedly, but I like Machida and his performance was solid. Some killer kicks to the body, the knee strike combo was dope, and he fucking tooled Heath on the ground at the end there. Heath is no joke, either, so it was a good win for Lyoto. Goldbergs commentary was hilarious, also. He was trying so hard to be impressed by Lyoto, "look at those board shorts, Joe, SPRAWL camo, that's the mark of a true fighter"

Well wonderful, now I'll never find out if Amy Acker is dead or alive. Nathan Fillion needs to stay away from FOX, it's just not working out for him. I mean the guy is great, but series he is on just are never long for this world on FOX. Edited Tim Minear, also.
