Ok, that necklace on McGhee writes itself. And Bucky STILL looks like he belongs miles away from AI. Something about Taylor that I think is to his strength is that he can play "small", really well, as well as broad. -

I was like "Is this Panic! at the Disco or something" and then I quickly realized it was Clay and I laufed. -

Ok, can we get a new crowd movement other than waving hands (in the air (like they just don't care)). Aside from the McPheatloaf Incident (btw, I am copywriting "The Meatloaf Incident" and will use it as my Meatloaf coverband name, so nyah), the music stuff tonight has been very enjoyable. The guys doin their thang was well done and they sounded good as a group. -

Katharine reacted to the new cars like Ryan gave her a stick of gum. Taylor can at least sell it. So Mr. Phee has lots of money, right? "Golden Idol" is clever. No. No way. They can't. Elliot and... Oh. Her. Jesus. -
Considering the WWE started to fall in ratings well before the brand split, I wouldn't exactly attribute the fall to the brand split. The positives? Not a whole heckuvalot, but I imagine they've made more than they would have without the two separate touring groups, esp. on international tours. Not that the brand split is a good thing, I just don't see the long-term benefit in merging the brands being greater than how it is right now. The problems with the WWE have little to do with the split. Would Steph stop being DoC if they merged? Would Vince stop being nuts?

I thought Live/Chris was (actually) really good. McPheatloaf wasn't very good, but I liked the concept. Paris and that guy I guess I should know was good as well. -

Kellie in a (behind the scenes of) Lil Jon video would be a better fish out of water spot. "Golly, that sure is a lot of diamonds in your mouth" "That's my grill" "Like a barbeque grill?" "Yeah" "Yeah?" "YA-UH!" "Well, okay!" "OH KAY!" "Wut?" "WHA-UT?!" -

This show is freakin awesome. Kellie with short hair? Works for me in a Kim Bauer sorta way. Nervous about eating out? Oh lordy. -
This is similar to TNA fans saying TNA needs two hours. If the WWE has 2 chances to put on a good 2 hour show a week and can't even get one right, what makes you think they can make 4 hours of one show? The problem isn't that they are losing all these stars, the problem is and always has been that they are _creating_ stars at a snails pace, which won't be solved by ending the brand split (and, if anything, it will just further stunt the creation of new stars).

HOLY SHITTIN SHIT!~!! CHRIS AND LIVE!~ -
That wouldn't fit the episode, though, and wouldn't make for much of an ending. House asking for his leg to be treated says that he wants to change.

UFC 60: Hughes vs Gracie

This card is fitting in regards to "the next generation" of fighters, because a year from now, the guys on the undercard could be fighting for titles. -
House talking like Chase was great, esp considering Hugh Laurie is English and would probably be easier for him to do Aussie than American.

UFC 60: Hughes vs Gracie
RavishingRickRudo replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
The card? No. On-paper it's one of the worst in a while, and the best matches on the card may not be shown at all. With that said, sometimes the worst cards on paper end up being really good shows. Swick/Riggs has potential to be really fun and explosive, Sanchez hasn't had a bad fight or performance yet in the UFC. Every fight Vera has provides a glimpse into a potential superstar and saviour of the HW division, and his past 2 UFC fights have ended in spectacular fashion, so him vs. Silva could work. Then for the dark matches (that could be shown on PPV), Spencer Fisher, Sakara, Gonzaga, are names that could be very relevant in the future. Actually, now that I think of it, this is a pretty decent card on paper, but the odds of it being great = the odds of it sucking. Gracie/Hughes is worth getting for historical value and for those who have an interest in it (Gracie fans, for example). This is one of those fights where every move matters and is filled with emotion, if you are invested in it. I say this because if the people you watch with are not familiar with Gracie and the significance of him being in the octagon, then the fight may not nearly be as exciting as the UFC presents it as. UFC shows are typically fun to get for a big group, I know since LOTC started hosting shows at his house, it makes for a good time and when it gets fun, and everyone is cheering for the same person, or something crazy happens, it's really fun. -
So does some part of House feel guilty for the way he treats patients, given that EK's dialogue with him was really him talking to himself?
-
Yeah, the whole eps. was a dream, but it showed a lot of houses true feelings on things.

If Taylor wins, the benefit is that they can't really package him in how they would package anyone else, because he's a distinct voice and personality with a distinct look. -

I think Paulas comment on Taylor being naturally pitchy was more in regards to how his style is more uncontrolled when he goes into Tayor mode. He's really tryin for that "Soul Patrol" chant. -

It's safe. They don't want the finalists up there sucking because that hurts the credibility of the finale, so they get material they've already been successful with. -

Taylor got bigger and better infront of the bigger audience, while Katharine -to me- seemed to blend into the background rather than totally stand out on camera. -
The thing with 24 is that it takes HOW many hours to fly from China to the US? So either they keep it in China and move the CTU folks over to China, have it somewhere in the Western Hemisphere, or start off the season with Jack being saved.

UFC 60: Hughes vs Gracie
RavishingRickRudo replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
That Gracie/Hughes preview was AWESOME. Though it didn't really go beyond "Royce Gracie is a legend from the beginning who could catch Matt with a sub/Matt Hughes is a dominant champion who will most likely beat the shit out of Royce Gracie". -
They had in an earlier episode the Chinese interrogate an agent who gave up Jack Bauer, I believe.
