MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

The question is, how long will the fights stay up? -
Steph is looking for an assistant. If YOU have a can-do attitude and won't give information to dirt sheet writers, you can apply here. Don't worry if you don't know anything about wrestling, it's just preferred that you do, it's not like your boss knows anything about wrestling either (I clearly have a can-don't attitude). Anyways, you can apply here! http://www.wwe-careers.com/wwe/jobboard/Se...D=459&Keywords=

We'd play mini-hockey in doors, but it was eventually banned from just about every house because of the mass destruction it caused. Street Hockey was, of course, king. The whole block would be in on it, parents and kids alike, so much fun. Seeing the Sidney Crosby gatorade commercial just sorta blew me back to stick picking, which I had forgotten about completely. We didn't have a ton of winter games. Just snowball fights and GT downhill racing and launching off snow ramps.

We'd play wall ball, but it was something like "throw ball against wall, if you miss you have to run to the wall and back before someone gets the ball or you are out", I think "once the person gets the missed ball, they have to throw it at the other person" may have been a part of it.

To settle close fights, fighters should have to break bricks. And if Shogun ever did the Van Damme jumping spin kick (with full split rotation), I'd luv him forever. -

I am still waiting for the monkey kung-fu stylist to appear in MMA and do flips and rolls all around the ring. If that fighter doesn't come soon, I might have to take matters into my own hands. -
TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread
RavishingRickRudo replied to dubq's topic in TNA Wrestling
What's great is that they probably do have a finish to the Jackie Gayda storyline and they think it's brilliant and so they are holding off, waiting for just the right time to make their move, and in the meantime, no one gives a fuck and their response to that is "just wait and let it play out because we hvae a plan". Adding, "The longer you wait, the better the pay off will be". To play off that, does anyone have a list who the full booking committee is? -

In Bloodsport, there's a scene where he trades body kicks with a Muay Thai guy. The Muay Thai guy looked Mexican, which was very confusing, but made sense when his Muay Thai sucked and Van Damme kicked him into oblivion. -

The OAO "Who's Actually Excited" thread
RavishingRickRudo replied to reign's topic in The WWE Folder
Being excited about the WWE, especially in todays era, is like the simpsons episode where Lisa experiments on Bart with a cupcake (that is made to give off an electric shock). Only WWE fans have been shocked constantly for 5 years and anyone still going "Oooh, a cupcake!" is a fucking retard. -

Yeah, for real, whenever I see a company blatently exploit the death of a worker, I see that the future is bright. Eddies death really helped put things into perspective for the WWE, and helped them see how much they could milk someone dying. Like, that stuff with Orton that all turned out to be completely fucking worthless? That's high-end stuff, right there. The WWE is peaking on all levels. -
The OAO "Who's Actually Excited" thread
RavishingRickRudo replied to reign's topic in The WWE Folder
The only time I will ever get excited about the WWE is if they made drastic changes to the writing team (which includes getting rid of Steph) as well as the way they present and produce the shows, until then, they could sign Randy Couture to feud with Kurt Angle and their first encounter could be amazing and I'd still know they were going to fuck it up, because that's what they (the WWE) do. Anyone getting excited because of how "fresh" Cena/Edge/HHH is, which is just HHH being HHH with two new shmucks, or because Joey Styles made comments that Paul Heyman said on Smackdown 4 1/2 years ago and which Joey made constantly 6+ years ago, needs some perspective. When RAW starts up it will be the same opening with the same announcers under the same format they have been using for 10 fucking years. The same stupid writers led by the same stupid woman writing for the same stupid Vince. I've stopped getting excited about any minor change in WWE programming because it never lasts and it all turns out the same way and nothing actually ever changes. How some people haven't learned this after 5 years is mind-boggling. How some people haven't learned this after the night ECW came back and ended with Steph owning the company, or after HHH turned on every partner he had, or after Vince does, well, everything Vince does. There is no hope. Fuck. Why do people have to start silly fucking threads like these? -

What I love is the eventual DX partnership will eventually break up and we will get HHH vs. HBK part 5 billion. Trish/Mickie is so exciting the crowd goes silent so they don't miss a word. Lil Retard is Smackdowns champ, and Mark Henry is one of their top guys. We get a worthless sack of shit in The Great Kahli burying the cruiserweights leading up to a shitty feud and match with Taker guaranteeing that Singh is gone by the start of fall. And lets not forget the return of the DIVA SEARCH!! Maria is sooooooooooo hot, guys. I can't wait. I'd diss the tag divisions, but what tag divisions? -

Mid-Life Crisis, Duh. You know, like Hall and Nash with the WolfPac. Get some younger guys to hang around with and oggle big tittied women, all the while, making smart ass shoot comments that bury everyone and help no one. God I can't wait! ARE YOU READY?! Carlito can be their Konnan and give them their latin street cred. Rob Conway can be their Disco Inferno-like lacky. -

DX is just another excuse for HHH to take up time on TV and jerk off and get to do it with his good buddy Shawn. That they did the DX reunion in 2002 and HHH turned on Shawn and are going for it again is typical WWE bullshit. The ECW shows are going to be taped before a WWE audience, in a WWE arena, in a WWE ring. Explain how I am supposed to be excited about this? Because it will lead to an ECW/WWE feud? When has the WWE ever been capable of pulling off something like that? It will fail. But YAY we get Joeys worthless SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT promo. The WWE is about as fresh as 10 year old buried corpse. Guess what? Vince is trying to relive 1997 with DX, SS in Montreal, ECW making an invasion, in what I assume is a futile attempt at recreating the circumstances that led to his last boom. It's sad and pathetic and indicative of a company that has no real sense of direction. The WWEs good wrestlers are slowly fading away and their prospects for the future suck. The shows suck. The matches suck. The wrestlers suck. The writing sucks. Vince McMahon gropes a chick throughout the night and sticks his tongue down her throat and I am supposed to be excited about the company he runs? Where he has completely forgotten about the GM situation because he's having too much fun on camera? Where JR gets "fired" on TV, where we have to put up with insulting skits that have no benefit other than to serve Vinces ego, just for JR to be brought back a few months later? It's clear this is a vanity promotion and it always will be. Oh yeah!! WWE IS HOT!~ -
The physical transformation was astounding. Very impactful.

We just played it like, someone has the ball, hits it into another square, then that person hits it into any other square and we'd keep goin until someone missed or it bounced twice. We were roughneck like that.
-
Nah, that's what Cameron/Rok thought and House dispelled that by asking Foreman to raise his hand.
-
The 1,2,3,4 square I am not very familiar with.

Ray and Yolanda are much like Yuchena and Joyce in how they were under the radar for a while and were solid enough to let the other teams make mistakes which puts them ahead by default.
