And fish swim in shit and worse. Go chicken.

They allow tampering in those leagues?

My gal was on an episode but according to her, her idiot teammate fell down in the moat and they didn't get out of the first round. She's still bitter about it.

3-0 Fresno State through five. 6-0 through seven. Fresno's starter is throwing a four hitter.

If the Bruins wanted a goalie they'd resign Alex Auld.

Breakfast: A quick egg sandwich before running out the door in a hurry this morning. Lunch: Two hot dogs and a pepsi at my boss's house during some phone conference call. Dinner: Meatloaf and mashed potatoes. With a side salad.

Last I heard (in the playoffs) he was cleared to practice. It's going to be interesting what Chiarelli does with him since his 4.33 million dollar cap hit is something that might hinder Chiarelli from making a free agent signing. Between Fernandez and Murray the Bruins have 8.483 million tied up through this upcoming season. That's Hossa money.

Mark Stuart was re-upped for 2/2.6, cap hit of 1.3 million. I think Chiarelli looks at it as a trial contract. If Stuart keeps progressing as he has the last two seasons, he will be locked up in Boston for a loooong time. He's starting to develop into the physical shutdown defenseman that they were hoping for when they drafted him.

The Preds signed Shea Weber to a 3/13.5 contract. http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...ORTS02/80623013 4.5 million a year only delays his inevitable 6+ that will follow this contract.

Cherries. Only liked the maraschino cherries as a boy. My grandmother tried to get me in on the regular seeded cherries. I would have none of it. I got some from a farmer's market a few weeks ago and they were gone within two hours. I went back and bought like six pounds of them. I've made a great cherry salsa, a neat little cherry sauce for chicken and pork and a smoothie that was so good I tried (unsuccessfully) to plant a cherry tree outside of our apartment. -
Youkilis hit in the eye with a practice throw from Mike Lowell. Immediate shiner, removed from the game. Sean Casey dropped his appeal and began his suspension for whatever he did in the brawl against the Rays on june 5. Your Red Sox first baseman...Brendan Moss. A backup outfielder with very limited first base experience. Baseball is a funny game sometimes II.

I hate a majority of the posters on the Bruins board there. There are some intelligent folk, but a majority of them are the kind of fan who only seems to exist to complain.

It's not "funny" like "ha ha" funny. I'm happy with the Joe Colborne pick. Not to say that the knuckledraggers at the Bruins board are.

I want to thank my girlfriend for somehow reading my handwriting and copying my notebook verbatim when she saw it was my turn this morning so I didn't lose out on Lemaire. I do question her taking Duchesne this early but whatever.

Well sir, he bounced around a lot but his offensive skills cannot be denied. He was named to the all rookie team in 1987 after a 13-25-38 and being a +8. He would lead NHL defensemen in shorthanded goals just two seasons later. He was involved in one of the biggest ripoff trades in NHL history a few years later. He bounced around the league a bit, never really settling in anywhere, just producing. His career high in points came in 1992-93 when he averaged a ppg. He retired following a Cup win with the Old Man Express in 2002, finishing with 752 points as a defenseman, not bad. Of course I'm talking of... Steve Duchesne. D. My next pick is not surprisingly one of the best two-way players in NHL history. He had at least 20 goals in his 12 seasons as a player, finishing with 366 for his career. He won eight Cups as a player, helping out with 139 points in 145 playoff games, including three sudden death game winners. He ended his career a +349 which is 20th all-time. I'm drafting him as a player before someone drafts him as a coach. He has 500 wins as a coach, one Cup and a lot of people who hate his defensive style of play. Give it up for... Jacques Lemaire. C/W.

At this rate we'll be starting our season along with the NHL's.

I don't think Lombardi did all that badly. Cammalleri wasn't going to sign with them longterm so they moved him and got Teubert at #13 as well as another 3rd rounder next year. So far, they're building up the blueline with Johnson, Doughty and Teubert. That's going to be a ridiculously hard top three to play against in a few years. So he came in with #2, #28 and an unhappy Mike Cammalleri and left with Drew Doughty, Colten Teubert, and a third rounder next year. They got two out of the three players they wanted (they also wanted Tyler Myers apparently) and majorly built up the blueline for years to come. Not a bad day.

Colborne is a great pick too. Makes more sense. Good smarts, good wheels. Kind of a project.
