SO I bought Left 4 Dead off Steam last night. I'm digging it so far. The only thing I've noticed is that if you are going to play online, you almost need to set aside a chunk of time since the games seem to consume a fair amount of time. Not that I'm really complaining...just an observation

Looks like I'll be playing a little L4D when I get clear of work tonight. My Steam ID in AntiLeaf33 for those interested

I'm not even that much of a comic fan, but I loved the first one more then I ever thought I would. Can't wait for sequel.

I've replayed Resident Evil 4 about 3 or 4 times, which is pretty rare for me. I've found myself hooked on Marvel Ultimate Alliance for a while where I would just keep replaying the game to keep leveling up my characters.

So I'm really looking for a good FPS fix and I'm thinking about picking up Left 4 Dead off of Steam for the PC tonight. I have about 50 hours punched in on Team Fortress 2, so I'm well accustomed to online FPS's. I've seen a lot of people praise the game up, but is it really that good? I just don't want to sink 50 bucks on a game that I won't touch after a week, that's all.

Well, it looks like the honeymoon is over with the game for me. I haven't touched it since a few days after the DLC. I bought to game to play some online multiplayer, but since the online is so damn laggy, then defeats that purpose. There aren't any real goals or challenges to work towards, so the single player experience doesn't really have enough to keep me coming back. I may keep the game for another month or so, and then trade it in for some credit towards Resident Evil 5.

Chamber of secrets, eh?

You should also look at a systems failure rate. Everyone I know with a 360 has had to send theirs back to Microsoft at least once. I'm also the first one I know of my friends to have their PS3 shit the bed (Blu Ray drive died). It took about a week from dying, to fixed console.

The kicker with the demo is, is that it throws you deep into some pretty big fights as you are still learning the controls. It took me a couple of tries just to get used to Resident Evil controls, but once I got the the hang of it, I found it to be a pretty enjoyable experience. Having an AI partner really never hampered me much, though a few times I wish you could tell her to duck.

Played through the demo a few times. I wasn't lasting very long until I figured out that you can use the D-pad to hot swap weapons and inventory. Once I mastered that I made my way through the demo..by the skin of my teeth

Though I'm not a huge fan, KISS will playing a concert in Halifax in July that I'm hyped to see. It's an out door show, expecting around 40,000. They are saying that it will be a full out KISS show (makeup, pyro, crazy shit galore). No other bands for the festival like show have been announced as of yet.

The Review is on their website as well X-Play Reviews Killzone 2

I just may pre-order this when I get my new VISA in the mail (stupid bank deactivated my old card before I got my new one). I have been itching for a good FPS for a while, and despite how great COD: WaW looks, I am just sick of WWII games at this point.

Wow, Georges was never in trouble, or at risk of losing at all that fight. Complete and utter domination.

Me too, don't know whats up with that.

Candice doesn't look as bad in the last 2 pics of that set. It was a house show, so the lighting is usually pretty shit anyways. Regardless, it does look like she has added on a few pounds.

Weekend Box Office Report Jan 23-25

Fell asleep 2 times trying to watch the first Underworld, and that was enough for me. It's one of those series that looks like it could really be cool, but the movies are so goddamn boring that its not worth sitting through. -
Ongoing ECW Spoilers for Jan 27, 2009

Also, with Hardy moving to SmackDown!, they could have said they traded him for a future consideration, or a superstar to be named later. Then when a new guy shows up on ECW, they can say that his SmackDown! contract was traded to ECW as part of the Matt Hardy deal. -

Um, ECW will be on tomorrow night, the 27th, not Friday night, the 30th. -
Thanks for the headsup. I am downloading it now. Odds are, it will be out Thursday, or next Thursday on the PSN

Yes. My screen stayed white for almost 15 seconds. We all nearly had a heart attack when that happened. The We Want Christian chants were clearly audible, and Duggan did seem scary over. Everyone loves ol' Hacksaw I was having issues getting the HD feed of the PPV (took like 2 minutes before it started coming in), so when that happened all I can think was "fuck off East Link...not now"

Even the guy getting the "job" treatment got an elimination, which is nice. I wonder if TBK had the all-time shortest Rumble time among those w/ an elimination. Also, was this the year with the most people in the ring at once? It was hard to count the guys on the stream, but I think I got to 14 at one point. How long was Goldberg in the Rumble a few years back? He knocked a few guys out and I don't think he last more then a minute before Lesner knocked him out.

Another murder at Virgina Tech

If he went through the neck, then I'm more surprised he was able to just slice through all the ligaments and muscle in the way. The bone would be the easiest part since he'd just have to hack through the disk plate in between the neck bones themselves, and obviously the spinal cord. Its pretty gruesome really. Not to mention that the other person have to had at least fought back, or resisted somewhat. Unless the chick was an assassin, or extremely lucky, then she probably wouldn't take her down with one quick shot, no resistance, or anything. Then its a matter of cutting the head off with the knife that you guys already mentioned. All the same, this is pretty fucked up. -
As cool as the the shattered glass with Austin at WrestleMania 13 was, it would have been a lot better if they actually timed it right. Austin music started (which had the glass shattering at the beginning), and then they show Austin on his was to the ring for about 10 - 15 seconds, and then they shatter the glass and have him walk out. I just think it would have been a cool visual to see the glass shatter in tune with his music, but then again, I'm nit picking.

I wonder how long until my loaded boss, Jim Balsillie, tries to by one of these failing teams....again
