I love Orton tonight. This feud could be great.

Throwing out three rookie starters (Joba, Hughes and Kennedy) would be a recipe for disaster. If Joba can handle being a closer, I'd keep him there. Same logic the Red Sox used with Papelbon.

I really enjoyed last night's episode. They went back to some of the old stuff that made them great - JD/Janitor, JD/Cox, etc. Also some nice character development with Cox missing his family, Elliot making herself known as a colleague with Cox and Kelso, Turk working to be a good husband. Maybe the best of the young season, for me.

I know we're talking about the Yankees here, but will they now spend the $20 million a year for Johan? Or another $15 million on Lowell, if they are still aggressively pursuing him?
-
Whoops. Does Boras have any other Yankee clients?
-
Yeah. I'm hoping I heard that wrong. Talk about a king's ransom.
-
Anybody else hearing the trade offers for Johan? Apparently the Yankees are willing to part with Robinson Cano, Melky Cabrera and Philip Hughes, while the Red Sox are offering Clay Buchholz, Jon Lester and Jacoby Ellsbury. Looking for a credible source other than WEEI on this.
-
That's absurd, even for the Yankees.

This thread is too bright. Gatorade/Vitamin Water are also useful here.

Or until WWE magazine subscribers got their copies in the mail today. That is spectacular. I love the E.

Embarrassing all around.

I wouldn't count the Red Sox out of the A-Rod sweepstakes. Once Lowell walks, the team can say, "Hey look, we tried to sign Lowell, we really did!" Then they can exercise the hard-on they've hard for A-Rod while trying to avoid the impending massive PR hit.

Hawks are a good-looking young team. They just got regularly beat inside. Garnett out rebounded the entire team for about the first three quarters.
-
Three years, $12 million. Thanks for the time, Mike.

Watching JD and Dan, you couldn't help but think back to when JD got pissed at Elliot for succeeding. He really can be a dick.

Brady wants a regular-season MVP and his 3rd Super Bowl MVP to tie him with Montana, both of which could be accomplished this season. If those get locked up, the goal shifts to becoming the greatest of all time. As evidenced by this season, Belichick and Brady won't stop unless they have to. I really hope Losman can stay healthy and come into his own. The Bills deserve something to go right.

A tie yields four outfielders in the NL. C: Russell Martin, LA 1B: Derrek Lee, CHC 2B: Orlando Hudson, ARI 3B: David Wright, NYM SS: Jimmy Rollins, PHI OF: Aaron Rowand, PHI OF: Andruw Jones, ATL OF: Carlos Beltran, NYM OF: Jeff Francoeur, ATL P: Greg Maddux, SD

ESPN.com has it at $8 million with $2 million in incentives. If that's the case, that's a good deal.

That blows. I have tickets to that game and have to work in Boston on Monday morning.

The bad thing is that New Hampshire is so white, nobody will even notice.

I overheard someone throw out Romeo Crennel's name as an early candidate for coach of the year. I couldn't tell if he was being serious, but it's an interesting thought regardless.

They also adjusted when they had to play without one of their All-Pro defensive lineman for seven games, their best safety for four games, their tight end for two games and their starting running back for three games. But hey, who's counting, right? And don't talk to me about offensive depth. If Brady can take the Patriots to the AFC Championship with Reche Caldwell, Jabar Gaffney and running back by committee, Manning should be able to win with Wayne, Clark and Addai. He is Superman, isn't he? Harrison is not a scrub, but he's not the player he once was. It's Reggie Wayne's show now. Even Addai has more TD receptions this year. I know it's hard to watch football while Mangini is losing his job before your eyes, but take a look around the league.
-
No, he's not- that's the point. A player goes down, teams make adjustments to their gameplan and find other ways to win. The first half of this game belonged entirely to Indy, but they didn't do enough to fix what was going wrong in the second half. The Patriots did. Simple as that.
