It's too bad we couldn't have done some seeding. Some of these first round matchups are really difficult, while some mediocre films look like they're going to get a free pass for a few rounds- Crime and Gangster is the hardest bracket as is. Ah well.

I thought Not Another Teen Movie was at least passable, but everything after that has been terrible.

I guess I'm operating under the assumption that Ben leaving the island is what started it to skip through time. If we're using Faraday's record analogy, Locke leaving may knock the island back into a rhythm. I've just got to agree with Rando- the island has killed a couple dozen people in a few months, are we really supposed to believe that Locke, Sawyer and Juliette can keep everybody else alive for three years, especially with the onset of time travel sickness?

I'd go ahead and lay the blame on Doc Rivers himself. While I'm not one for agreeing with national color commentary, they were spot-on last night when questioning why Doc went with Davis and Perkins down the stretch, especially with Powe and House having good games. I'll say this- the playoffs are going to be a lot of fun to watch this year, no matter who's there.

....You do realize everything that happens on the island takes place 3 years in the past building up to the return of the 06 3 years later right? Basically it's like this....... Island: After boat explodes/Helicopter crashes 3 years ago. We're finding out what happen to the people on the Island during the 3 years the 06 was gone. O6: Present day, 3 years after the 06 got off the island. I might be mistaken what your questioning though. It's just...are we really to believe that the people on the island survived for three years of random time skips? Or maybe when John left the island it time skipped and settled into place at some random point in Island time? In what is around 120 days on the island almost everyone has been killed except around 10 people, yet those 10 are somehow going to last three years? This seems to make the most sense. The island crew are already suffering from time travel sickness; unless they stop the island from moving soon, they're all dead. The island skips ahead approx. three years, Locke gets off and stops it from skipping, then visits Walt and the O6 on their timeline, despite himself being only a few months removed from the crash.

Just watched these last night- I thought there'd be a bit more build to the Cox/JD evolution. Glad to see at least a reference to Hooch on the list. Hooch is crazy!

I apparently missed that. Thanks for not being a dick. I'm sorry. *hugs*

I apparently missed that. Thanks for not being a dick. Seinfeld syndrome?

Those are the best kinds of sluts.

Don't we usually have tournaments to settle disputes like this?

The only acceptable payoff would be if Brody went to Russia to "find her."

This seems as good a place as any for this: That would be 60 for the Senate if Lynch appoints a Democrat. It's amazing to me how fast the Republican party in NH has evaporated.

I thoroughly enjoyed the banter between Michael and Dwight, ending with "I don't see my co-workers heeding this. Right now."

With context, that's really not as far-fetched as it may seem. By locking up people with abilities, he's preserving national security and preventing them from becoming unstoppable criminals. Mohinder had a decent-enough explanation I thought. The God-fearing stuff- they addressed it in a way while he was being interviewed on TV, but I'd be glad if that was fleeting and has since been dropped. They're already bordering on too many cliches as it is. It was also pretty easy to predict stuff tonight based on the previews that showed nearly every big surprise (Noah on the plane, the plane crashing, etc.). Once we actually get into the season, I have hope they still have some surprises. I thought the Hiro/Ando stuff was a nice change of pace, but that's largely because I'm an Ando mark. Claire still walks that line of being an insufferable whiny bitch and a badass (though her boot to the back of the head of the driver was pretty nice). Still not buying Parkman & Daphne or Mohinder with abilities, and Sylar continues to be the best part of the show. You've got to figure they're going to keep him away from the main storyline as long as possible, because as it currently stands, sticking Peter and Sylar on the same side in a fight against Nathan and the Hunter (with no Haitian to be found) would just be a slaughter. Unless, of course, the Hunter has powers, too.

I could picture the Yankees coming in and offering 2 years, 40 million. You know Boras is going to call them last. Considering he turned down 2 years, $45 million three months ago, I don't think that's going to get it done.

What the fuck? Did you people watch the same show I did?

This show came back with a fucking vengeance tonight.

Preview for Thursday's episode- Karen is preggers.

THAT was the best five minutes this show has ever had.

I was excited to watch a game where all I was interested in was winning money, right up until I found out my numbers for our pool: Steelers 5, Cardinals 0. Those numbers blow.

I can honestly say I haven't the faintest idea about the inevitable Jacob reveal. Are they going to reveal Jacob as an established character, or cast somebody new? Why do Claire and Christian chill out in his cabin and do his bidding? I'm curious about Abaddon, the guy who visited Hurley and pushed Locke in a wheelchair when he was first injured. Something I was pleased to see in spoilers:
