You are so incredibly wrong about this. I've talked to GSP face to face about this. He will NEVER fight a friend. Bottom line. Let that sink in. These people are highly dangerous athletes, if they hesitate to land an elbow that may leave a scar on their friend's face forever, it is not only opening up a chance for defeat but it is particularily dangerous. These fighters are real people with feelings. It is not all about money and fighting whoever is infront of them. I have no idea where Curry and Rendclaw got the idea that these guys would fight friends. Hell even in grappling tournaments people from the same camp won't usually try to beat one another. Gracie-Barra grapplers will never go at one another just to win a grappling tournament. -

Frankly, there aren't that many people who could win a decision over Tim Sylvia in the Octagon. Edit: Assuming Pride talent is unavailable. I really only see a focussed Arlovski posing a threat to Tim Sylvia from the UFC Heavyweight Roster. Vera is very talented but I think ultimately this might be the fight that displays that he is too small for heavyweight. -
I'm gonna say I could kill about 300 before I was too exhausted to continue and overwhelmed by sheer numbers.

I'd rather see Hansen win than face Aoki. -

Those kicks CroCop landed on Hunt were absolutely disgusting. Given that everybody goes down to the LHK and Hunt stood up to it makes me think that you might be wrong about this. -

Posters already have Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez and "Joe Diesel" Riggs as the main event. I doubt this will change that. -

GSP's win was a total high. I'm so thrilled.

All HD signals you recieve are compressed. The more storage that is available the less compression has to be used. Based on that alone there is a lot more room for HD to "improve" given more storage capacity.

At first I read the title as "Decepticons I like". I was fully prepared to make a post supporting Starscream.

Yeah, that is likely the case. I was just looking to make an arguement. -

Hughes gets paid a base amount, if he wins he gets a win bonus. Usually these deals are something like "$50,000 to fight and $50,000 if you win". On top of that he stopped the fight and defended his title. I think he earned the right to get paid that much more than BJ in this case. BJ made as much as Dan Henderson did on Pride 32. Dan Henderson won his fight and is Pride's welterweight champ. -

Robbie Lawler $10,000 Joey Villasenor $3,000 Kazuhiro Nakamura $10,000 Travis Galbraith $2,000 Phil Baroni $15,000 Yosuke Nishijima $15,000 Dan Henderson $50,000 Vitor Belfort $30,000 Eric Esch $30,000 Sean O'Haire $15,000 Josh Barnett $60,000 Pawel Nastula $20,000 Mauricio Rua $25,000 Kevin Randleman $40,000 Fedor Emelianenko $100,000 Mark Coleman $70,000 source: Keith Kizer So now will people ease up on Dana White a little bit? He pays his champions more than Pride does. -

That is just the base of what the UFC paid him. He makes more than that on sponsors alone. Plus whatever added perks UFC lays on him. That's a mighty fine payment for one nights work, and please nobody compare this to boxing salaries. Boxing as a sport has had over a 100 years of development, it is a different industry. I'm sure Matt Hughes was gladly laughing all the way to the bank. -
I say have Chuck show up, meet Wandy in the ring and hand him a UFC contract and tell him if he's so tough and wants to fight so badly he should sign it. Right then, right there.

I'm a fan of Dean Lister's, mostly just because I'm a grappling mark. I did like his matches against Sakara and Arona.

That being said, this card looks like it's gonna suck. If Pride wanted to make an impact on the US crowd they should've set up GOOD fights.
