MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

So UFC 90 is a mere week after 89, and headlined by Anderson Silva v. Patrick Cote? Affliction is still looking like the better option for October so far.....at least until I see more of what the card is going to be at UFC 90. -
This is the perfect month for this show cause I think (I could be wrong) that October is the month of UFC 89 which is "headlined" by Leben vs. Bisping(LOL). It's also overseas I think which means tape delay anyway.....so umm yeah Affliction all the way in October!!!

Thank goodness his injury is not too serious.....With what's already happened on the defense I wasn't holding my breath.

Judah is falling and falling fast. Oh and seeing Cotto vs. Margarito for the first time last night.....WOW.

Campbell ran a WCO in College. He should be familiar with the system. He has been getting very positive feedback from internal and external press about having an excellent training camp. He was playing behind an O-line last season that lost three of it's five starting members. It was also his first full year as the starting QB. Colt Brennan is a rookie still trying to catch up to NFL speed. He has no leg up on Campbell. If Campbell doesn't get any better over the course of the next two seasons, when Brennan might actually be able to take a real NFL snap, then we can re-visit the issue. BTW......I got a kick out of the "It's about time" chant that Art Monk recieved during his standing ovation from the Redskins fans at the Hall of Fame Induction ceremony. Art Monk seemed really moved by it.

I have been to the one in San Francisco, CA. It was fucking amazing, and they just built one in Sacramento called "Taste of Brazil" that I will be going to next week, and they are building a higher end version in the downtown area that is supposedly going to resemble the San Francisco model more. Yes, if you are a meat lover......GO NOW......NOOOOOWWWW!!!

Well the surge hasn't done anything to help the political process, all it has really done was prove a point no one was arguing in the first place which was that if you keep sending more troops over there, and build up a strong enough force, the enemy will run & hide and wait(of course then the counterpoint that it wasn't Al Qaeda fleeing so much as Iraqi insurgents, also will need to be pointed out) eventually the violence will descrease, but then what is the ultimate solution? To just have a bunch of troops there forever? Also, I could go with the "lesser amount of troops might show some type of goodwill in order to get political process moving" argument, but even that has to have a timeline and benchmarks and a target for an end, because that can't really be an open ended agreement either or we are basically in the same situation now, just with less soldiers over there. And I still don't get why McCain gets away/a free pass when saying things like "come on guys we have troops in Germany, South Korea, etc etc" like that is somehow a great thing that we have to have troops stationed in other countries.

Come on ya'll show some love for Part 3.....The Bikers, the hippies, Shelly....the techno-core F13th theme.......and the introduction of the hockey mask. As for the remake, umm until I see some more I dunno. I might see it in theaters, but it seems like all these remakes/re-imaginings etc etc are basically the same movie over and over and they are just resurrecting the villian because they can take advantage of drawing in a younger audience who never got to see that villian on-screen as a child/teenager before.

When I read about other countries and how high much more they pay for gas then us, I laugh for about a half a second until I realize that they also probably walk to their jobs, the market, to dinner etc etc etc and probably only really need to use a vehicle when they are going on some type of trip. I mean seriously, as much as 4/gal gas sucks, it wouldn't suck nearly as much had our entire infrastructure not been planned and based on needing a vehicle for every working american that doesn't like in a major metropolitan area.

60,000 seems like a high number to be a "residual force" Don't get me wrong, I don't envy Barack. Should he be elected, he has one hell of a mass ready to be dropped in his lap, on more than one front.

Well I am going to vote for Obama. In my post above I should have omitted the word "likely" It's just that I am not as enthuiastic about it as I was maybe a year ago and, I am not all about this "Obama Fever" stuff. I am still holding out a little hope that Obama's growing centrist rhetoric is just having to do with the natural way elections are won. If you are left of center at all, then yes Obama is the best option out there, but that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it, and it doesn't mean I still can't voice my displeasure with some of Obama's changing rhetoric as the election cycle draws nearer. As far as the "gonna get labeled soft on terror" tripe.....it's not my goddamn fault the democratic party has not come up with a reasonable way to defend this attack, and instead continues to roll over on such issues like domestic spying. I'm sorry but for the last two years all we have heard is how evil it was and how we cannot give immunity, and then it seems like overnight the same old rolling over happens with a lot of double-speak, and apologist rhetoric.

Am I the only that feels Madden should have a no player ratings mode? The last few games I have played online it has been frustrating when my receivers are dropping wide open passes, while my opponent's receivers seem to teleport 2-3 yards behind my secondary at the last second to make catches. My other pet peeve is how Madden seems to give ratings way to high for "athletes" as opposed to great football players....Michael Vick, Reggie Bush, Donovan McNabb(well not so much anymore) are just capable of doing stupidy on the field in this game. I wish there was a mode, namely ONLINE MODE, where ratings were emphaized less and it was more about the offense I pick vs. the defense my opponent picks and vice versa. With that said....I'm getting Madden '09 on the 12th....lol. -
What is everyone's experience with blu-ray using these companies? I am kinda irritated because every time I get a flick in my que if I change the option to blu-ray it is usually a "long wait" but if I change it back to DVD it is "available"

I have really been tuning the election cycle out lately. It just feels boring at the moment. I am likely to vote for Obama but if he is going to be an extension of the newly elected congress then I am not all that excited in the least. I really think Obama needs to hit home the point of "endless" war. To me THAT theme is more powerful then Iraq itself. It is that Bush and his administration set into motion and seemingly the foreign policy that McCain will choose to continue.

Scott Smith stood around and let Robbie Lawler get his head back on straight. Kinda dissapointing, since I usually root for the local guys. I actually picked Lawler to win, but Smith looked primed and he came to fight and took it to Lawler, and once he actually had Lawler reeling a bit, he decided to stand around in the clinch, hoping the ref would examine Lawler's cut......GODDAMMIT.

The HR lady in my department gets them in the mail a lot....my wife's cousin gets them at his work. The weekly Sacramento News & Review has ads for them...just show up at their office and they give them out..... Sneak Preview screenings are often way overbooked to guarantee a sell-out crowd, so if you don't show up early, you may go home pissed off....unless you live in a very small town.

I wish Elite XC would run the show show simulcasted on Showtime, because us West Coasters get stuck having to wait and watch the fights on tape delay, which is extra shitty because I get Showtime East which means I will be watching the Undercard on Showtime and then have to sit around and wait three hours for the Main Card on CBS.....

Does Step Brothers have its own thread? Well I just saw a sneak preview of it and it is hilarious. Pretty damn raunchy......
