What would cheesecake be classified as? I mean yes, it has cake in the name, but it definately comes off more pie-like if you ask me. Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Potato Pie, Cream-Cheese Crust Topping & Dutch Apple pie(and other fruit) from this small apple orchard town called Apple Hill, 30 miles from Sacramento, make Pie the winner. Also a kickass peanut butter pie my mom makes. What about a Pasty vs. Danish challenge?

LHW and/or Open Weight UFC Grand Prix?

For those with a Frys by them......5-disc edition of Blade Runner on BLU-RAY for $19.99....I think the sale is good for another week. This is a hell of a deal if you are a Blade Runner fan and/or a collector in general.

Ok, so I picked up the 5-disc set for $19.99 on bluray...at Frys......what is the best cut to watch first? I have seen the theatrical release a loooooooong time ago, and I defintely don't plan on watching the movie five times just to see each version(I mean I eventually will but I imagine some time will go by between each viewing). What should I watch first? I am leaning towards the Final Cut.

So the low end unleaded gas is up to $4.39 right now. Something just seems suspicious, I remember a month or so ago, when prices were approaching $4/gal it seemed like it was taking forever to actually hit that mark, and then as soon as it does hit the mark, it just keeps going up a lot more, almost if the oil companies knows that everyone thinks this is never ending, and that they expect prices to keep going up for the summer, so oil companies are basically just following through on those fears.

Zombi 2 is pretty awesome. The Beyond is pretty good too as is Gates of Hell. I happen to like Argento. I just think his style is an acquired taste. I also think Suspiria is great and not overrated at all. Oh and regarding "Scream" the first one was supposed to be a satire of the slasher genre. Wes Craven said so himself. It was a pretty clever-ly written script and it appealed to the masses. It was a solid flick. Not fantastic, but solid. The problem is what "Scream" spawned. First there was the two subpar sequels/cash cows and then the bigger dissapointment was the birth of the teen scream queen genre of horror where every "horror" movie had to have mainstream sitcom/network tv stars in them in order to try and bring out a younger audience, this was also when most horror movies would start becoming PG-13 in order to get a bigger crowd.

Seeing Hughes against GSP the second time and the other night against Alves, reminds me of watching Sakuraba get destroyed by Wanderlai Silva for the third time.
-
True, but have you seen what these guys get paid? I mean seriously if I was an MMA fighter not named Chuck Liddell(who is probably gonna get a big pay day regardless of who he is fighting or what his record is), I would be looking for the biggest money fight ASAP. Right now that is probably Penn's biggest pay day.
-
I didn't see the show, I might try to catch the fights on youtube. From what I am hearing Alves thouroughly dominated Hughes. So maybe with Penn thinking about moving up they could do Penn v. Alves with the winner getting GSP....or do you guys think Penn dominating Sherk the way he did was enough to immediately put him in line for a title shot with GSP!?!

Metal Gear Solid 4 to feature much older Snake...
NoCalMike replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in Video Games
The only problem is that how likely are people going to want to play a game for a half an hour then watch a cutscene for an hour without getting ancy(sp?) and wanting to just skip it so they can start playing again. From everything I have seen and read of the game so far, I have no intention in wanting to sit around and watch a cutscene for more then a few minutes, rather, just skip the thing so I can get back to the gaming. -
$4.27 is the NEW cheapest gas in town......ugh.

Oh snap, thanks for the heads up, I am setting the DVR before I go to the gym.

Rampage is probably going to win, but I really feel Forrest has that smothering style that gives people problems. I think his strenth is underrated and he has a pretty damn good chin. I am not counting him out at all.

My highschool years can be summed up with the typical "If I knew then what I know now" about a lot of things. I got along with everyone but never made an attempt to make real "friends" with many people. I had a couple of close friends, one of which is still my best friend currently. My highschool years are hard to break down by year because basically each year was more of the same, just some girls got better looking, while some instead got fatter, lol. A year after I graduated, one of the American History teachers(who also happened to coach Varisty baseball) got a sex change and went from David Warfield, to Dana Rivers. He/She was featured on Montel Williams show, lol. My Freshman & Sophomore years we had a really good Varisty Football team that went pretty deep into the playoffs until they ended up playing a school that's offense outnumbered our entire team so all of us saw the writing on the wall, haha. Ok more to come later but back to work now..........

I only drink diet soda now but the weird thing is I think Diet COLA tastes gross, but diet anything else, such as Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, and especially Root Beer still taste great to me, it is just plain old cola itself in which I feel the diet-ness of it gives it a funny taste.

But she's right-wing. Edited for Accuracy.

No, and that is my point. It would be different if every single EliteXC show up to this point was like this, but they have had good shows on Showtime, especially when working with Strikeforce. If they simply would have just re-aired a different event that aired on Showtime, people would probably not be bashing it the way they did. And that brings me to the other point which is that most people have seen other EliteXC events and know that the CBS debut show is not the best stuff they have to offer so it is kind of annoying that they are judging the entire organization based on one subpar(but not even horrible) show. For a big CBS primetime nationally televised audience, yeah I agree they kind of dropped the ball, but if you've seen EliteXC on ShowTime before you know damn well they can put together good cards when they aren't so overly-focused on trying to appeal to the lowest-commen denominator fans. If you've read CBS's reaction to the show and fans reaction, CBS seems pretty open to making changes for the next telecast, and that seems like a pretty good thing.

Well I never really said I cared about his growth. Then care about the growth of the sport, because Kimbo is going to lead something big for the next few years... hopefully. I honestly don't care about the growth of the sport if it means sacrificing its legitmacy and presenting itself as the brutish psuedo-sport that it's been viewed as by the mainstream for the past decade and a half. It's not like Kimbo Slice is all that Elite XC has to offer though. There are plenty of other good fighters and potential matchups to be had.
-
Well shit, here we go. I can't wait for the debates. I wonder if McCain is going to be allowed to have Lieberman whispering in his ear anytime a foreign policy question is asked.

Weren't people being given tax breaks to buy those gas guzzlers as well?

I know some guys take it too far with the practical jokes and horsing around and stuff, but for me personally, I'd be much more annoyed with a "tough guy" that walks around the house all day, every day trying to prove how "tough he is" I mean it was the epitome of that when Matt Brown did the staredown during fight announcement and he tries to do the "tough guy makes you flinch" move and the other guy totally doesn't even flinch what-so-ever. Mac Danzig almost got to this point but other the second half of the season he became a lot more chill. Maybe Matt Brown will too and it has just been clever editing to portray him in such a manner.
-
Yeah, haha the devil horns are kinda of a bad habit that comes out when I have been drinking heavily.....they show up at the most inoppurtune times....lol.

There's been dozens and dozens of other MMA that were much better 3 fights into their careers than Kimbo. It's another issue entirely when you consider the training for MMA he's had, but in terms of how good a fighter he actually is, Kimbo is ranks pretty low amongst supposed prospects, even at HW. Ermm, yeah you're right, let me clarify, I meant "career" as in training time along with this fights. Other fighters were better three fights in, but they probably had years of training in fights on smaller shows before they had their fights. Basically, Kimbo is going through his local bar circuit and KOTC years right now, just with a bigger audience watching. Now this doesn't mean he will or won't ever amount to anything, it just means he is an infant in the sport.

If Faber gets a rematch with Griffin next(the only man to beat him in a hell of a fight) I wonder if they do it in Sacramento. Both of them grew up in the area and it would be interesting to see the crowd dynamic for that fight. Oh and here are a couple pics from the show.....I was in the upper deck front row.....and yeah you already heard what happened with the overbooking, so we kinda lucked out....as far as the pics....well it was dark and I was drunk...not a good combo to be snapping pics of moving targets....lol.
