He didn't need to be such a pompus ass about it. I'm not condoning it, but the guy's a fucking prick. And now we're probably gonna see the likes of Freddie Bynum in this game. Come on now. Short of whipping out his dick and cockslapping him, there was no reason to do that. Barrett's going to get a teammate hit in the head before this series is over too because Ozzie won't let that shit slide.

How does AJ get the gate for getting punched in the face? That's just retarded. I meant to type a 10 game suspension. My bad.

Wow, what a dirty sucker punch by Barrett of the Cubs. That's a 20 game suspension right there. What a fucking douche.

Damon eating a mouthful of dirt is the highlight of this series for me

Awesome defense by Cliff Floyd. When you can't put your bat on the ball, why bother trying to get your glove on it either right?

I thought you guys were exaggerating just how bad that conference was. I'm sad to admit that I was wrong. Wow. Just wow.

    Career Milestones

3000 Hits - A-Rod will be the last man to do it 700 HR - A-Rod 600 HR - Pujols Close to and will get 500 HR - Manny, Thome, Delgado Not close, but will get 500 HR - Andruw Jones, Vlad Guerrero 3000 K's - After Pedro and Schilling the next guy will be Johan Santana 300 Wins - Never gonna happen again after the 200+ crew retire, but if I had to guess, I'll go with Santana when he eventually signs with the Yankees. Oswalt says he wants to retire at 33 or 34.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

They had the game in their hands without Terry, but Devin Harris essentially pissed it away. All they had to do was keep doing what they did in the first half and Bowen, Ginobili, Horry and/or Duncan wouldn't have been playing major minutes. That's half of the Spurs rotation, about 80% of their offense and their only defensive threats. The odds of them having the lead with 3+ minutes to go in SA even with Terry is minimal.

    TUF 3: The Thread

I'd disagree if you're talking about a stand up fight. I've seen a surprising amount of MMA guys who have next to no striking ability. I'm just curious if that's what you meant, because clearly if you add in chokes and other submissions the MMA guy should always win, or seek employment in another field.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

They had FOUR of the Spurs EIGHT regulars in foul trouble at the half and only led by 6. They then pissed away the game down the stretch despite Dirk being a monster yet again. Dallas will not get any calls at the end of this next game since Pop will cry about how many calls went against the Spurs in the first half tonight, so unless the Mavs are up by 10 or more inside of the last 2 minutes they have no hope. Dallas should have swept San Antonio, now it looks like they will just end up choking away another series.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

Devin Harris was awful tonight. If Jason Terry was in that game, the Mavs would have won by at least 8 to 10 points. None of the road teams have the cojones to win a game 7 and what had been a really exciting postseason is about to hit a brick wall in the next 72 hours when all of the fun stories get stomped out for the same old, same old. Spurs over Suns in 5 again. Yawn. Pistons over Heat in 6 instead of 7. Yawn. Spurs over Pistons in 7 again. Yawn.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

Anyone care to guess the combined score Detroit, Phoenix and San Antonio win their Game 7's by? I'm going with 37, 16 for Detroit, 12 for the Spurs and 9 for the Suns. Neither game on Sunday will be close after the 5 minute mark in the second half. Phoenix will trail at some point in the second half, but the Clips will make critical turnovers down the stretch and lose a battle of free throws/three point attempts. The next close game will be Detroit/Miami I, and that's only if Shaq hasn't gained 10 pounds since they knocked out the Nets.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

Argh, every hope I had of watching the NBA Finals went down the shitter tonight since there's no way anyone's stopping the dreaded Detroit/San Antonio rematch now and I won't bother tuning in for even a minute of that series. Fuck you Jason Terry.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

I don't think Dallas is going to pull this one off. They should be pounding the paint, but they're just not doing it enough. They had 4 guys in foul trouble, and aside from Duncan drawing his 4th at the end of the quarter they didn't get the job done. Looks like the two favorites will advance to the Conference Finals thanks to the underdogs not delivering the KO punch.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

Anyone who knows David Stern knew this game would be overofficiated so that we wouldn't end up with another Terry/Finley situation. Duncan won't foul out, but the 3 other Spurs with 3 fouls might. If the Mavs are smart they'll just keep posting up Manu and Bowen and get those two out of the game, then they can just stack the paint for the remainder of the half.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

That was an awesome play by Daniels, too bad it didn't count. Dallas needs to keep picking up fouls on Duncan, Ginobili, Horry & Bowen.

Guaranteed contracts can suck, but he isn't stealing shit. What possessed the Yankees to throw 39 mil at a guy who'd had exactly one good full season in the majors? Stupidity. Granted he's had some arm trouble, but since when is a sore buttock reason enough to miss significant time? I generally don't question the heart of an athlete but Pavano just seems like he's perfectly content signing paychecks with his bad elbow.

Lima Time is OVA! Jose and his blonde braids were demoted back to the minors. No decision on who is coming up in his place, but at this point a ball boy would give us as much of a chance to win as he did.

German Jesus draws a big 3rd foul on Duncan. Dallas needs to extend it to at least 10 by the half.

Yeah, I believe it was a full. They mentioned it twice when Rasheed was shooting. And I think they said it again before Billups took his 2nd.

I guess we found out who the "real" Sandman in NY is, at least for tonight. Wagner K's the side, Mo gives up the run

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

No, MJ would have shot the 3 and tried to tie it. Or at the very least called time and given himself a chance to get a clean look at a 3. LeBron's inexperience showed up there, as did Flip Murray's when he tried a Superman 1 handed rebound with authority and bounced it right to a Pistons player. The game was there for the Cavs and if they don't lose by at least 15 on Sunday I'd be shocked.

It isn't. NBA refs just happen to be the worst in all of pro sports.
