You mean that, if you were forced to keep one of the two, you'd rather have Miller? The biggest pussy this side of Peja Stojakovic? I think you can get more for Bibby than Miller, so I'd trade Mike first as well.

Tiger's father is dead at 74

I just saw it on the scroll on ESPN 2. According to Tiger's website his father Earl has died. That's definitely going to hit Tiger pretty hard, but I hope he and his family can get through it though. At least he made sure he took some time off to be with his dad, and it didn't happen while he was at some tournament. RIP.

Praise be to God, this game is over and Floyd didn't have a chance to strand more baserunners.

If the Mets don't score here, one of the Jones boys will homer in the 14th, and that'll hold up this time.

Floyd ties the game with a mammoth HR to deep right. Texas is now down 8-7, HOLY SHIT.

Arenas hits a 35 footer, but now there's 2 seconds left and LeBron will get a dunk.

Arenas was anticipating contact which never happened. Which is why you only worry about making the lay up. If you get hit, the refs will call it. He lost focus and might have choked away their season. Having said that, LeBron would have just come down and waltzed to the rim for a dunk as time expired, so they might be better off down three at the buzzer, than playing defense with the lead.

The stupid Mets just threw away a game they had no business losing. 14 men LOB, 5 blown chances to score runs with a ball hit to the outfield, a leadoff triple in the 8th that goes nowhere, and now Wagner just gave up yet another critical HR. It's the same old Mets when it comes to Atlanta.

Arenas just choked. If he doesn't hit the game tying three, he's going to have a hard time going to sleep tonight.

You mean another wide open lay up to win the game?

The Mets have come back from 4 down as it's 6-6 in the bottom of the 8th. Reyes is 5 for 5 in the game. On the downside they have failed on at least 5 chances to get runs in with a sac fly and couldn't push home Reyes who started off the inning with a leadoff triple. I haven't been this frustrated by a Mets game in quite some time.

When did Caron Butler decide he wanted to become a borderline All-Star level player? If Washington ever gets a legit big man they could be a deadly team in the future.

Does anybody need a broken down left handed LF? The asking price is a bucket of baseballs since that's all Cliff Floyd is worth right now. Davies throws 8 straight out of the zone, walking in the tying run, so what does Floyd do? Take one to see if Davies can find the strike zone? Of course not, he takes a hack at the first pitch he sees and promptly grounds into an inning ending DP. He is now hitting a robust .181 and that number is on a downward trend. Since he hit his last of 2 HRs this season he is now 5 for 34 with 1 RBI with 4 BB and 3 runs scored. For comparison's sake Endy Chavez had a 4 hit game this week and over that same timeframe is 10-17 with HR, 2 RBI with a BB and 5 runs scored. Yes, Endy Chavez has more productivity than Cliff Floyd over the last 2 weeks in half the ABs. Braves lead 3-2 top 6. The Mets should have at least 4 runs if they could hit a fucking sac fly. Make it 4-2 since they inexplicably pitched to the # 8 hitter with a base open. I guess Braves unis are still like kryptonite for the Mets no matter how poorly they play the rest of the season.

I'd say that Duke is a better option than a few of your low end starters, and Beckett and Peavy is about a push if Beckett doesn't get hurt. I guess it all depends on which guy you'd dump to fit Duke into the rotation. It's one of those deals where I don't think you can be faulted either way because there's a big risk to making it because of Beckett's injury history, since it's obvious Duke for Peavy straight up isn't a trade you would make. Go with your gut on this one and then hope for the best.

I think it all comes down to a simple question, do you need the extra arm? Duke is going to play for one of the 3 worst teams in MLB and would be lucky to win more than 14 games in any given year because his team is the drizzling shits. Peavy's team is only marginally better, but he has better K production. Beckett will probably win a lot of games because Boston is the best team of the three, but he's always a blister away from missing a month's worth of starts. Peavy's got the best chance at having a really low ERA, but Beckett and Duke will win more games combined and give you more strikeouts. If you don't need the extra arm, I'd say stick with Peavy since he's lower risk than Beckett.

    Survivor Panama- Exile Island

My gut says Cirie's gonna get bounced next. My guess is Aras finally wins the IC because Terry won't want to kill himself to get it. Terry will then whip out the idol after convincing Danielle that her best chance to make the F3 is to vote for Cirie ahead of time. The 2 votes (Aras & Cirie) against Terry won't count, and the 2 votes for Cirie (Terry & Danielle) send her packing.

    TUF 3: The Thread

When a guy doesn't know what happened or WHO WON THE FIGHT, I think it's safe to say he got completely KO'd. Watch the post match comments from Solomon again. Watch him stumble just to walk out of the cage. I guess you'd prefer for a guy to be neckboarded out, but the guy was at risk if Dean didn't stop the fight.

    Survivor Panama- Exile Island

You could be right, but I'm just working off of these ideas . . . Austin and Danielle bonded on Exile Island in their "near death experience". Aras will win the F3 and take Danielle which pretty much guarantees that Terry won't vote for him. Austin and Sally got bounced by Aras, and he seemed to take great joy in eliminating their tribe, so why vote for him? Bruce is a wild card, but from what I gather he liked Danielle more than Aras. I suspect Aras will definitely put his foot in his mouth at the final 2 firing squad, especially when Terry, Shane and/or Courtney baits him with a question about being a liar or backstabber. Aras will be singularly responsible for everyone being eliminated except for Cirie (he would have gotten Bruce if his digestive system hadn't shut down), and she would have voted for him either way. Just a hunch.
