  1. Where is the proof that Matt took action? Saying that he thought some gay guy(s) was/were going to hell is just stating something he genuinely believes. That's not discriminating against them, that's not physically taking any action towards them, and if it's a belief that the gay guy(s) don't share, it causes them no harm whatsoever. I fail to see how Hitler slaughtering millions and actual bombings which killed a few people I knew relate to a guy making a comment that caused no harm to anyone. The cause and effect relationship you're trying to make doesn't exist here.

    Survivor Panama- Exile Island

This ALWAYS happens though. Whomever takes on the boss/leadership/hard worker role early on is always one of the first couple of people voted out. That and being the "Mother" of the tribe is an early death sentence. The reason the older women's vote was so bad was that they were a tribe of 4 at the time, not 7 or 8. You can get away with voting off one strong player if you've still got 6 or 7 able bodies left. They had no way of knowing that the 4 tribe dynamic would end 5 minutes into the next episode, and if they had still competed in the 4 tribe structure they surely wouldn't have won immunity. As it turned out, they ended up losing their second tribe member anyway, but Cerie & Ruth Marie lucked out in that they now have a chance to be floaters.
  3. I'm glad I wasted my time trying to explain what your problem with his beliefs are when clearly you wanted a circular argument which led to you "winning". Unlike you, I don't see the point in being a Christian who doesn't feel pity for the plight of his fellow man, misguided or not.
  4. Read Romans 1:18-32. I got this next bit elsewhere, which you can either agree with or not, but it explains the idea behind why most Christians interpret homosexuality as a sin that will not grant one entrance into the Kingdom as it were.
  5. I don't hate gays, but I believe they're going to hell because that's part and parcel of the religion I believe in. It's pretty obvious you're not a Christian because the main selling point of the religion is that it is the only way to escape from eternal damnation. Whether they say it or not, every Christian believes that non-Christians, gays, those who commit suicide, etc are going to hell. What difference does it make if you say something or not if you believe it?
  6. You're not questioning his morals. You're disagreeing with them. A strong Christian believes homosexuality is sinful, and thus doesn't take kindly to those they perceive to willingly commit sinful acts. You don't see it that way. Does that mean that every Christian should receive no pity if they develop a malignant brain tumor for believing something taught in their religion simply because you disagree with it?

    This week in the NBA

I just looked it up on a site and Francis has 2 more full years on a 6 year $84 million extension which expires in '08, with a player option. Q and Crawford make about the same money as Francis combined, but both of their deals expire in '09, and they each also have a player option. If the Knicks could swing that deal I'd take it, but I don't think they've ever taken back a deal that expires sooner than the ones they are shipping out. If I was Orlando, I'd want something better for Francis since you're giving up years and not really improving the team with 2 similar players. The main issue is that either Marbury or Francis would have limited minutes or be forced to play the 2, and that could get ugly since neither guy likes to dish the rock as much as they like to shoot it.

    This week in the NBA

According to David Aldridge, the Knicks are looking to trade for Steve Francis or possibly a crippled Kenyon Martin as if they learned nothing from the Allan Houston debacle. Ugh.

I don't watch football for humor, I watch it for hard hits and great offense. What makes Wilbon more qualified to talk about football than Kornheiser? If you don't watch football for commentary, why does it matter who is in the booth?

    This week in the NBA

I get that, but a lot of Knicks fans who supported the Rose trade (unwisely) thought it would mean Lee would get more PT. As it stands, his role will be reduced to nothing as Jalen's playing 35-40 minutes every game and that really helps no one in the long run since the Knicks won't win 30 games this year anyway.

    This week in the NBA

Larry Brown just said on Mike & The Mad Dog that he doesn't think Lee will ever be an NBA starter because he has a "lot of deficiencies" at SF. Obviously, the guy is not a wing player, but Coach Brown in his infinite wisdom will let him rot on the bench because he can't just let the guy play the 4 and rebound. OPP MIN PTS TREB AST TO STL BLK 01/30 ATL 29 18 6 1 2 0 0 01/31 LAL 6 2 1 0 0 0 0 02/03 TOR 23 10 6 3 1 0 0 02/05 Did Not Play 02/07 LAC 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 02/08 NJ 8 0 2 0 1 0 0 So the 2 games where he played 20+ minutes he got double figure points and six boards, and gets rewarded with 2 DNP, and two games where he plays garbage minutes. The Knicks will just continue to get worse because he doesn't have a fucking clue what to do.

Wilbon also doesn't ever say anything funny. Theismann's a stiff, and so is Tirico, they didn't need a three man booth without any humor.

    ROH guarantees something HUGE

There is nothing that can happen that will be talked about for the rest of time in wrestling. Why can't RoH fans just be content with what they have without trying to make everything the company does seem like it's absolutely vital to the industry with all of the hyperbole? Even if Bret Hart wrestled Brock Lesnar in a 60 minute Ironman match for the IWGP Title on the show it wouldn't meet that level of hype.

I think that proves that Tito and/or Forrest are the biggest draws in UFC considering that fight has the potential to end one guys comeback/short term career.

He scored about 40% of his TDs in his final 4 years in the league which was far more than he did during any of his best 5 best seasons yardage wise. It's not really that hard for a guy that goes about 270 to get a bunch of cheap 2 yard and in TDs. I think statistically he was solid, but his last few years really inflate his TD numbers, and even during his best days he only hit 4.0+ YPC 4 times. Bettis is the prototypical compiler at the RB position and to me he's a pre steroid Rafael Palmeiro who most people would have reluctantly put in because the sum of his stats was far greater than any of the parts. As long as he doesn't get in 1st ballot I won't complain, but when Thurman Thomas couldn't, there's no fucking way Bettis should.

He only won two rings not three, and the Hall of Fame is for legendary players, not guys who have a mediocre career but extend it to 13-17 seasons. If Randy Moss retired today he'd have better numbers than Monk in half of the time.

He also had 64 more yards than Monk on almost 90 less catches. No one would call Fryar a Hall of Famer and his numbers are as good as or superior to Monk's in basically every category. Possession receivers don't belong in the Hall.
  21. To answer your question, I'd say no because as you listed, they had a bunch of all time talents at their peaks at the same time. Right now there isn't a single performer on their payroll who is in his prime, or young enough to improve, that will go down as a legendary talent. There's really no way to duplicate a peak level Rock, HHH, Austin, Angle, Mankind etc when the bulk of guys getting the call up these days get it because of their physique and nothing else.

Where does Darko fit in all of this talk of busts? Will that guy ever see playing time or will he just go home with a ring and likely the easiest $8-10 million dollars ever made by a top 2 draft pick?
