Apparently Texans don't teach/learn math properly. < is less than > is greater than

Santana got robbed the most IMO. It baffles me how Morneau got enough votes to win when 2 of his teammates finished 6th and 7th. It's almost like the writers didn't want to give it to Jeter, couldn't give it to Ortiz, Thomas or Dye and said fuck it Morneau had more RBIs than Mauer so he wins. Having said all that, the person(s) who voted A-Rod 5th and Jeter 6th on one ballot should be cockslapped repeatedly.
-
Or you could ask why Jeter won the Hank Aaron when he wasn't the best hitter in the AL this year. He has a much better claim to MVP than what amounts to the offensive player of the year award.

LT/Rivers is the top RB/QB tandem in the league even if the Seahawks are healthy.

This game drops the Giants from #2 to #2, I think. That's true, but the # 6 seed is also 6-4 and San Fran is right there at 7 at 5-5. At the rate they're losing, they're more likely to be 7th than 2nd in 2 weeks when they lose to the force that is Romomania.

Who would make the playoffs instead? Dallas in the division spot, Carolina and San Francisco as the wild cards? They'll get by. Dallas wins the division, and the Giants end up having to go down to week 17 to try and fight off the New Orleans/Carolina/Atlanta losers and San Francisco. Their saving grace was McNabb going down or the Eagles would be in the mix too. From potentially taking the # 1 seed in the NFC last week to now being tied for 6th with two straight stinkers isn't good. The more I look at him, the more I realize that Eli isn't a franchise QB. These officials suck almost as much as the guys who decided to draft Rivers and trade him plus extras for Eli.

It's a shame the Giants probably won't make the playoffs this year at this rate. They can't win on national TV.
-
That would probably be a poor throw, albeit an intentionally poor one.

Three words to sum up tonight's episode, "jumped the shark". That is all.

I still think the best thing about Damien Rice is that he introduced me to Lisa Hannigan.

HR and RBI vs OPS+, WARP, VORP etc. Which stats do you think 90% of the writers and baseball fans are more aware of? There was almost no way Howard wasn't gonna end up winning after the whole "will he set the "clean" single season HR record" BS. That Cubs fan who justified the Soriano deal as a step in the right direction is pretty much how I see the typical Cubs fan. $136 million for Fonzie at 31 is overbidding on A-Rod by $63 million level stupid.

Today's effort pretty much solidified LT's MVP campaign. Unless he gets hurt he's gonna score 30+ TDs. That's just insane.

If I was a Cho I'd kill myself for losing to 'Bama. Disgusting.

The Eagles were already dead with their upcoming schedule, this just puts the media off of them and back on the Cowboys to be the NFC East's darlings.

Derek Jeter getting 10 yrs/$189 million is not absurd or anything.

Michigan stayed # 2 in the AP poll by 9 points over USC. I'm impressed with the voters and coaches NOT being douches for once.

I just got in, is the new BCS rankings announcement gonna be at halftime of Game 2, or is it going to be late at night like last week?

Allez GSP!

Please win GSP. Don't make me have to endure the hated Matt Hughes and OSU winning against my favorites in a 12 hour period.
-
Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera sounds about right.

Notre Dame wins the "undisputed" national title because it's Notre Dame.
-
Watch them thrash WVU just to put the cherry on top of this retarded season.

I'm a fan of the Wolverines, and if Michigan wins their bowl game they'll end the year as the 2nd best team in the country. They don't deserve a chance to end the year # 1 because there's no proper way to say that they were better/more deserving than OSU if they were to win a rematch. Having said that, all of the other one loss teams don't actually deserve a shot either.
-
Notre Dame will be ahead of Michigan in the BCS standings after today. If they consolidate that by beating the new BCS # 2 next week they will play for the BCS title. . . and lose by 13. I hate Lloyd Carr. Michigan will never beat OSU again as long as he's the coach.
