    NFL Week 8

It's obvious you haven't been watching the game. After giving up a 14-6 halftime lead at home, and showing some gonads to come back from 31-28 down to tie it inside of 2 minutes, giving up an 8 play, 62 yard drive in 1:47 to lose 34-31 looks like gagging from my computer screen. Shanahan got conservative and went for the tie too early and lost a "big game" they should have won. Giving up scores on 7 straight possessions aside from a kneel at the half doesn't look too stellar from the "vaunted" Broncos 'D'. Colts 2nd half drives. 13:58 1:54 IND 44 6 56 Touchdown 10:16 1:22 DEN 12 3 12 Touchdown 15:00 3:23 IND 20 8 50 Field Goal 06:54 3:19 IND 20 7 80 Touchdown 01:49 1:47 IND 20 8 62 Field Goal They didn't even need 3 1/2 minutes on any drive to put up points in the 2nd half. I think the Jets might have been jobbed there. Baker could have possibly gotten both feet in bounds on that catch but it wasn't a reviewable play.

I can't watch the game, but it looks like Denver gagged at home. The Broncos are so useless.

It doesn't matter if we all KNOW that Oswalt is better than Clemens, you have to remember that the people who are voting wouldn't recognize Roy on the street unless he was wearing his uniform. Clemens won't finish higher than Roy, but he will take away some of his points.

If Michigan wins by 3 or less, or in OT, I don't think OSU drops lower than # 4 or 5 in the polls and since they were ahead, the #2 thru 6 in the BCS would be thisclose. They would need some help to get back into the BCS title game obviously, but it's possible for them to end up at 2 even if they lose on the 18th. A Michigan loss unless it's by 2 in 4 OTs or something would kill them dead.

    Heroes

I finally got to see the episode, and I just wanted to say that this show rocks. Pretty much everything I wanted to say has already been mentioned, but I do have a theory as to how the cheerleader could die for real. The black dude with Claire's dad (listed as "Haitian" on imdb.com, but I'll call him Adebisi just because) is the key. My memory may be a little fuzzy but I believe he had the ability to negate the cop's power at the bar. As far as I could tell, he was able to hear everyone's thoughts BUT Adebisi even when he was concentrating on him, so if I'm reading it right he could possibly stop Claire's healing capabilities (admittedly Nate flying in his proximity shits on this theory) which we know are not perfect as she was "dead" when the tree pierced her brain. If someone mortally wounds Claire in his presence and she bleeds out, or she gets "Sylarized", I don't think she'd be able to return to life even if he left. Getting on to the whole Sylar issue, we know that Adebisi can wipe out someone's memories but they haven't shown how he does that. Since Claire's dad specifically told Adebisi not to kill Brady (or was it Brody?), I'm going to guess that both guys work with Sylar. My gut says Sylar takes the brains of his victims to gain knowledge or power either by eating them or simple absorption depending on how graphic they want to get with the visual they'll eventually show of him doing his job. Those are just some thoughts I'm having because I'm assuming we're in for some swervetastic episodes in a few weeks.

    NFL Week 8

At least you can admit that you were wrong, so props for that. I feel bad for McNabb & Reid who are rapidly becoming the NFL's version of A-Rod and Clueless Joe. With the Saints, Seahawks & Eagles all losing this week, things are looking really good for the Giants in regards to the postseason. If Carolina KO's Dallas, it'll be about as good a week as we could have wanted.

Oswalt wasn't the best starting pitcher on his team. 'nuff said.

Classy job by the Beavers fans jumping onto the field TWICE before the game is actually over. I can only hope USC is completely out of the mix now.

This Michigan/NW game is another shining example of why football usually sucks in the midst of a driving rain. No one can really mount much of an offense, there is essentially no special teams play because no one can risk botching a return. Field position battles just don't capture my attention. As I post this Breaston muffs a punt. That guy needs to realize he's not fucking Superman. When you're up 10 and would get the ball at midfield why would you even try to catch a bouncing, wet ball with a defender bearing in on you? Fucking Douche.

The Mets should look into getting Brian Giles if the price is equal to or cheaper than what Julio Lugo (who Minaya seems to be most interested in) would cost.

    World Series: Tigers vs. Cardinals

That cocksucker Billy Wagner cost us a World Series ring, woo! This outcome was worse than the Yankees beating the Mets head to head for a ring. Ugh.

    World Series: Tigers vs. Cardinals

Fuck you Detroit. The agony of the Mets loss stings even more now knowing that we too could have cakewalked to a title we didn't deserve just by showing up. To answer the previous question, Detroit shitted the bed. How do you go 5 games in a row with a pitcher making a fielding error? (I'm assuming the stat I heard on the radio was legit)

    World Series: Tigers vs. Cardinals

If it makes you feel better the Mets did the same thing (hand over a series) and as you stated St. Louis was portrayed like they were world beaters in that series as well.

    World Series: Tigers vs. Cardinals

As much as I can't root for the Cards I hope they win tonight just to end this miserable WS, which as I predicted no one outside of St. Louis or Detroit would watch. So much for the Cards and their national fanbase bringing eyeballs to the TV.

Ultimate Fighter Season 4 the thread...

The entire fight basically went as follows, they "traded" for about 10-15 seconds, Lutter would easily take Sell down, dry hump him while doing the aforementioned forearm grinds to the cheek, get warned that he needed to get busy, deliver a couple of close forearm/elbow shots to the face, then he'd switch positions only to go back to the forearm grinds to the cheek. Repeat ad nauseum for the bulk of 15 minutes. There were hardly any highlights to show since Sell went down as easily as a hooker every time Lutter shot on him. The worst fight of the season, and that's saying an awful lot.

Ultimate Fighter Season 4 the thread...

Anyone know when the next season starts so I can completely erase this one from my memory? This fight sucked, instead of the lay and pray I'd say this one was hump and grind. The outcome was never in doubt, but couldn't the ref have actually enforced the rules and stood them up when NOTHING but forearm grinds to the cheek were going on for 30 seconds at a time?

UFC 65: GSP vs Hughes II

I've hated Matt Hughes for years because of his early fights. Back in the day, my two favorite UFC fighters were Tito Ortiz and Whoever Matt Hughes Was Fighting. My favorite UFC moment to date is when BJ Penn made him look like a bitch. The only person I've found less likable than Matt since UFC 1 was Royce Gracie. That fucker actually made me root for Hughes when they fought. Hopefully GSP gets it done this time because if he loses I don't think the universe can withstand the smugness that will be dripping off of Hughes' body in the postmatch interview.

    Tiki Barber

When a guy who is in the mix for league MVP causes a controversy about retiring while his team is in position to win the division, I'd say that something being set in stone is more distracting in this instance.

UFC 65: GSP vs Hughes II

I think Matt Hughes is quite possibly the least likable big name in UFC history. I'd say that most people respect him, but very few root for him.
