m83 usually sucks my knob, but this album is different. he actually made songs. no more ambient garbage. that reminds me, ambient may be the worst genre of music ever. fuck, did brian eno get boring when he moved to "ambient".

tigers swept by the royals again. is it maybe time to fire jim leyland? probably not. he'll quit in two weeks. but this is their fault. their starting pitching is awful. i am totally fine with the bullpen. but the starting pitching is killing them. k-i-l-l-i-n-g them.

post-punk and the aforementioned angular.

am i wrong, but could hanley have gotten a better deal in like 3 years? its kinda disappointing he is locked down for only 70 million until his early thirties. why not just do the arbitration bit or hold out for a year or two more, and allow his stock to sky rocket? i love cabrera is detroit, but part of me wishes me was still on florida as part of this. if he stayed in florida and the n.l. who knows his potential. the change seems to have stunted his progression a bit. of course, its still early. i'm happy for the marlins. i'm cheering for all of those old tigers. i am even cheering for jairs jurjjens in atlanta, although that trade frustrated me from the beginning. go old tigers prospects! we miss you.

Shame on you for deigning Also, unrelated to Milky, I gotta go to bat for Lazarus here... kind of. MC Lars is pretty good. I like all sorts of rap. I even like some terrible rap (I have a Cassidy CD.) Anyway, Lars has good beats and pretty fun rhymes. His best shit is when he samples shamelessly, like when he samples Supergrass on "Ahab" and Iggy and the Stooges on "Download This Song" and of course, the Tetris theme on "21 Concepts." However, he can be insufferable on some shit, like "Hot Topic Is Not Punk Rock" and "Dialogue" Feat. Ill Bill. Maybe I hate Hot Topic because I went to a Lars/Frontalot show and a bunch of people were singing along to Hot Topic is Not Punk Rock, while wearing shit from Hot Topic. Oh, Generic Crunk Rap is annoying, too. Crunk is fun... calling it out for being stupid only weakens Nerdcore's base, imho. nerdcore? how fucking ridiculous. you sound like an ass even repeating such an inane genre title. you should be ashamed.

holy shit, how bad are the tigers right now? they are being 1 hit by tim wakefield into the 8th. nate robertson gets rocked again. he's detroit's third starter with an era above 6. bonderman has had a few ok starts, but has been rocked in his other ones. miguel cabrera isn't hitting shit. sheffield demands LF when he can barely bit. guillen can't play defense. there is so much wrong with this time, and age isn't on their side. so disappointing right now. so so disappointing.

one of two things 1. you are right, sheffield and bonds are "enemies" 2. you are wrong, the tigers bullpen is not exactly their sore spot right now. offense is an area they are struggling in. a lot, actually. and starting pitching. but their bullpen is not looking bad right now, outside of a few zach miner appearences...and the departed jason grilli. not a knock on chong, this is even directed at me, but people often times just makes assumptions about teams weaknesses based on perception or off-season projections. the tigers bullpen has been really impressive. before bautista went on the dl, he was lights out in the 8th inning. clay rapada has a microscopic era, if any, as their lefty specialist. todd jones hasn't blown any saves. and now they have francisco cruceta who has great in the minors and has done well in his few appearences. aquilino lopez has been great as a long relief guy. their problem is starting pitching and offense. just because they torch the texas rangers for 40 runs in 3 games does not mean they scrape 1 run over two games against the twins.

don't wanna sound off any alarms but this coule be a prelude to b____y b_____s never'no!

detroit in 6 philly in 7 pittsburg only showed signs of dominance against the rangers for a conbined 4 periods over a 5 game series, although they didn capitalize when they needed. i could see an upset. maybe. philly knows how to wait out a storm and pick a part a team.

sly & the family stone - there's a riot going on (1973)

pick something asshat. you're the motherfucking reason this draft takes so long. you post and don't pick? what an asshole.

i select tom waits: one from the heart (1983)

holy shit the illustriousone is still around. weird. and cj, too. wow. he was crazy. all that porn.
-
poor sean avery. he was going to be out of the playoffs soon, anyway. i wonder if he'll recover in time to work as an intern at vogue. i wonder if he'll be back next year. see chris simms.
-
i would say that would only be proper.
-
consider me lame but ive never even heard of the last two selections i must say that this has run out of steam. everyone has such divergent tastes that everyone might as well just name their top 20 albums and show their dicks.
-
flight of the conchords are pretty much the best and funniest comedy musical group. their songs aren't even THAT cheezy. fuck, they're on subpop.
-
datsyuk will win the selke. he's the ultimate 2 way player in the league. zetterberg gets burned more often than datsyuk.

gibbons should be fired. i know burnett was at 100 pitches, but he shouldn't have even started that inning. they have a bullpen for a reason. anyone in that pen could have shut down the royals. instead they inherited all of these runs from burnett just running out of gas. the eckstein error should never have even happened. irresponsible managing that has plagued the jays for a couple of years now. its time to hire a real manager. maybe even a new g.m. who doesn't stock up on players with flashy numbers but little substance to sustain themselves over the course of 162. the frank thomas incident is the most regrettable of all.
-
ya, of course. there would be no need for the both of them together. an interesting possibility. tough to say how long it would take him to catch up to game speed, or if he would make much of an impact. regardless, just something to keep in mind. i can't see any other "contender" that would take him on. maybe seattle, if they're considered a contender.
-
says bonds would take 18 million paycut who knows if true, but c'mon. enough of this blackballing bullshit. someone's got to realize that bonds could help their team. it would be a circus for the first few weeks to a month, but by time august rolls around, it wouldn't be a big deal. unless his trial starts then.
-
bonds knows he's not going to get that. however, i think his agent has alluded to the fact that bonds would take a significant paycut to play. i forget the quote, but it added up to around 1 -2 mil/year. okay, so we'll split the sifference in half, 5-7 mil, is it worth the risk?
