Yes Sir. I used to shop there all the time as a kid. Never knew about the movie until last year when it was recommended here on the boards. Walking the mall these days after seeing that flick makes me mark out everytime.

Children's Palace ruled my childhood. I remember buying my first SNES game at the one in Monroeville plus countless Transformers and Star Wars figures when I was younger.

Credit TFW2005.com: DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures, in association with Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE:HAS), will develop a live-action, motion picture based on the globally popular TRANSFORMERS franchise. Steven Spielberg will executive produce. The film is slated for release in the summer of 2006. Lorenzo di Bonaventura ("Constantine"), Don Murphy ("The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen") and Tom DeSanto ("X-Men" and "X2: X-Men United") are attached to produce. DreamWorks Head of Production Adam Goodman stated, "Steven and everyone at DreamWorks are very excited about the prospect of expanding the world of TRANSFORMERS into the live-action feature film arena. The possibilities for a thrilling action adventure are virtually endless, and a film holds the definite promise of expanding an already worldwide fan base to new audiences." "This is a tremendous franchise that offers us the opportunity to create an inventive and thrilling action-adventure film," said Donald De Line, Vice Chairman, Motion Picture Group and President of Paramount Pictures. "We're happy to work with our colleagues at DreamWorks to develop this project with Hasbro. There couldn't be a better team to bring the TRANSFORMERS to the big screen." "We are truly fortunate to have the best talent in the entertainment industry on board for the TRANSFORMERS movie and are excited at the opportunities this powerful collaboration will bring to the property," said Brian Goldner, President of Hasbro's toys segment. "The TRANSFORMERS franchise has been successful in many entertainment arenas and we are thrilled to give millions of fans an extraordinary experience that's never been done in the history of the brand." Hasbro will work with the production team, DreamWorks and Paramount on all aspects of the film's creative development, marketing, promotions and will manage merchandising in conjunction with the release of the film. Hasbro will also team up with Takara, who has been the co-developer of the TRANSFORMERS brand since its beginning in the early 1980s. "The TRANSFORMERS brand has always struck a chord with fans around the world and remains one of our strongest franchises since it was introduced 20 years ago," said Keita Satoh, President and Chief Executive Officer of Takara. "Together with Hasbro, DreamWorks and Paramount, we will bring the property to a new level for fans in the Japanese market, as well as around the world." DreamWorks will distribute the film domestically, while Paramount will distribute internationally. In 1984, the TRANSFORMERS brand took the world by storm with its compelling saga of the ROBOTS IN DISGUISE, and quickly became a childhood rite of passage with a tremendously successful toy line from Hasbro and Takara, comic book series, television program and animated feature film. Twenty years later, a new generation of kids has discovered the excitement of the TRANSFORMERS brand and the legendary characters, such as OPTIMUS PRIME and MEGATRON, that truly are "more than meets the eye." Today, the franchise features a popular toy line, an animated series on Cartoon Network and a chart-topping comic book series from Dreamwave Productions, which sold two million TRANSFORMERS comic books last year.

Considering that Cannibal! and South Park are works of pure genius, I'll pony up 8.50 for this.

I'm pretty good with my Transformers info/rumors (obsession), I don't believe that the movie will be that craptacular. Jurrassic Park and the Star Wars Prequels had massive amounts of CGI, I don't think there will be an issue with the CGI. Voice Actors however is where the film will be made or broken. Especially the voices of Optimus, Megatron and Starscream.
-
Well it's not the Originals but versions of the characters inspired by the originals. Like Megatron will be a realistic tank and Soundwave if he's a CD player will transform in a robot of comparable size. So no size shifting. That's all according to producer Don Murphy. I think this flick will be the greatest thing since sliced bread, between Star Wars and Transformers my childhood has come back with a vengence these past few years. Plus with Steven as a Producer and how much money they will sink into it, I fairly sure it won't suck. This is gonna be Steven's Star Wars.

A recommendation of mine would be Chronicals of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. Even if you're not a Vin Diesel mark, the action and gameplay are awesome. The dialog is entertaining and the graphics are sweet! It takes a while (at least for me) to get used to the control scheme but it pays off. If you liked Pitch Black and/or Chronicals Of Riddick, this is your game. My $.02

X-Men Producer Talks About X-Men 3
Blue Bacchus replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
/Agree But a lot X-Men marks dig him as much as Wolverine. If Jackman never came back, then I hope who ever was cast as Gambit is a draw. -
X-Men Producer Talks About X-Men 3

Sentinels > Dark Pheonix I'm sorry but to do any Bastardized Version of the Pheonix Saga would require multiple movies for a satisfying experience. They should just push the War between Humanity and the Mutants further for X3. That's been the whole plot of the films so far and has been building up to it nicely. The Sentinels are the PERFECT closing to the Trilogy and they can dispatch certain characters. To me, they've already introduced characters that can replace the original Characters. And I'm sure in X3 that will continue. Colossus/Mystique replaces Magneto once he dies. Gambit replaces Wolverine once he debuts. Scott replaces Charles. Iceman,Rogue and various X-Kids replace who ever. Let Jean stay dead. -
I know it hasn't been widely released yet in the States, but I managed to snag a copy of it today at work. It's way better than I thought it would ever be. If you like action/adventure games and you like Transformers, you can't miss this game.

I collect mostly CCGs/TCGs. I still have all of my Star Wars CCG, Star Trek 1st Edition CCG, and Raw Deal. I still play Raw Deal competitively, and went 2-2 in a tournament today with Eric Bischoff using Freakzilla as my Enforcer. Should have used Austin

I live in Nashville and Doogie's antics don't surprise me at all. In fact this may get me to go see one of their shows again.

Star Trek Prequel Movie In The Works?
Blue Bacchus replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
I agree. The Sulu show would have kicked seven levels of ass. I remember also hearing rumors of a Klingon only show before Enterprise came about. Now THAT would have been fun to watch. -
Star Trek Prequel Movie In The Works?
Blue Bacchus replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Actually I like Enterprise and a "Bridge" movie may not be so bad. The Star Trek Universe like the Star Wars Universe is huge enough to support prequel stories. I would rather see a film set after Undiscovered Country and before TNG. But thats me. -
We got 6 of them in at my store. Sold one it got returned Defective. Never sold another.

I saw the midnight showing friday night at my theater. It was a decent sized crowd for the film, and the entire place lit up with laughter throughout the movie. Definately DVD worthy.

Sequel to the 1989 Punisher movie?
Blue Bacchus replied to DangerousDamon's topic in Television & Film
A sequel would have rocked, betcha they had it all planned out but the bottom fell out once the flick went DTV. <--- Dolph Mark -
I would have thought this was a fake Press Release because the use of the word Bitchin', but i guess not. I'll snag one of these SPs plus Mario Bros. and Zelda. Pretty darn nifty. Shame that they didn't put multiple games on a Cart.

I had never seen/read a Hellboy comic in my entire life but after watching the film, Hellboy could be one of my favorite comic to film characters of all time. It's a fun movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. The only problems are that the movie drags a little in the middle and the final fight is over too quickly. Definately DVD worthy.

Blah! This is the game I've been waiting for since EWR 4.0 came out? I'm gonna load up 4.0 and play that, TEW is too complicated for this Simple Caveman.

Yeah because Empire and Jedi were hailed at the time for being great titles /sarcasm All the names are cheesy. This one, if in fact true, is no exception to that rule. Face it, you're all gonna see it anyway
