Lockdown Predictions - 9/3/03
5_moves_of_doom replied to Crippler Crossface's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Ooh, bitchin' card. Let's go to work... TAG MATCH The Unholy Trinity (Va’aiga & Dace Night) vs. Crow & Dante Crane ~ Trinity. Just because. SINGLES MATCH “The Superior One” Tom Flesher vs. Jay Dawg ~ Tom, just because. TOURNAMENT SINGLES MATCH “The Judge” William Hearford III vs. Nathaniel Kibagami ~ Nathan... ditto. TOURNAMENT TAG-IN ELIMINATION MATCH “The Franchise” Mak Francis vs. “The Sacred One” Andrew Blackwell vs. Show ~ MAK ATTACK IS BACK, baby. I really don't see Show participating in anything but a tag match at the big G, and Sacred has always been a wild card, so I'm being all safe and the like with the Franchise. TOURNAMENT TAG-IN ELIMINATION MATCH “The Sinner” John Duran vs. Quiz vs. Ejiro Fasaki ~ Ejiro. Anyone could win, really, but Ejiro's the most experienced of the three, so I'll just go out on a limb and root for teh him. MAIN EVENT – TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL TAG-IN ELIMINATION MATCH Apostle vs. “Deathwish” Danny Williams vs. “The King of Nightmares” Michael Craven ~ Hrmph... Danny's my man, but the other two have been on kill-kill-kill streaks as well... for the second time ever... KELKED~! -
Dropped in to spam for about thirty minutes... do I have time to actually do something productive? ...Eh, why not. XCalibur v. Annie Eclectic ~ Annie. DUH. CIA v. Judge Mental ~ ...Hard, HARD choice here... but I'll go with CIA, because he's Canadian and Judge is a fucking pussy. "But I was sick! I don't always sound like Ash! Bullshit motherfucker. "The Sinner" John Duran v. Dante Crane ~ JL Priiiiiide... even though I'm not in the JL. But go Duran, anyway. Crow v. Quiz ~ Crow, because I can see him winning the whole thing more than I can see Quiz winning it. "The Franchise" Mak Francis v. Jay Dawg ~ Ehhhhhhhhhhhh... no real reason here, but JD. Gotsta trust teh INSTINCTS~! Viktor Tarankov v. "The Sacred One" Andrew Blackwell ~ JL Pride! But Sacred will squash him like a bug. Hah. Show v. Michael Craven ~ ...So Grappler is Show, right? Uh, if he is, then not Ash. If MVS is... uh, then not Ash. Nathaniel Kibagami v. Apostle ~ Nathan, because I only know Apostle as the guy who comes into chat sometimes and never talks. ...But I only know Nathan as the guy who never shows up... um, draw. Main Event Danny Williams v. Ejiro Fasaki ~ Ejiro's birthday has come and gone, but Danny's still my man. Boom boom boom dead Ejiro dead.

Snatch or Pulp Fiction???
5_moves_of_doom replied to SpikeFayeJettEdBebop's topic in Television & Film
Pulp Fiction is probably my favorite movie of all time. So... uhm, buy that. Now. EDIT: Not to say that Snatch ISN'T good... it's just infinitely inferior to anything Tarentino's ever done, in my opinion. -
XCalibur v. Insane Luchador ~ Due to my on-off awayness until the end of this month, I'm still yet to have read anything that Xcalibur has written so far, but I'll just go for IL anyway, since I'm a "go underdog!" type of guy. English Dragon v. Judge Mental ~ Judge, because I love 'em, and don't know much about the Englishman. "The Sinner" John Duran v. Aecas ~ Duran Duran. I believe these two had their first match against eachother, which I marked, and let me just say -- both of your matches were terrible. But you've improved, so go at it boys! "The Franchise" Mak Francis v. Dace Night ~ Eh, the Mak Attack attacks the Mak. I mean, uh, Dace. Or something. Viktor Tarankov v. Stryke ~ Stryke if Stryke shows, Viktor if Stryke don't. Annie Eclectic v. Michael Craven ~ Go Annie. ...Please? CIA v. Show ~ Grappler is unstoppable (well, he was in the JL), but this could be a big way for CIA to shine, so yey @ him. Dante Crane v. Ejiro Fasaki ~ ...Dante? Uhm, go Ejiro, then. Quiz v. "Deathwish" Danny Williams ~ Danny's my man, so I must root for teh him. And I'm still not sure how well Quiz and Show work alone, as much like Kriss and Kross, they're a team that seems like they belong in tag TEAM matches only. Jay Dawg v. Apostle ~ ...Had JD still not won the fucking title? Well, I'll go with him, because seeing him make it all the way to the Genesis ME would be spiffy. Sadly it won't happen, because Annie is teh JUGGERNAUGHT OF UNSTOPPABILITY~! RARRRR! Main Event "The Sacred One"Andrew Blackwell v. Nathaniel Kibagami ~ I practically never Kelk the Main Event like, say... Kelk does. But I honestly have no clue who will go over here. We'll say whoever shows.

Who Will Win It All...
5_moves_of_doom replied to The Amazing Rando's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Annie wins everything. Ding ding ding. And no, she's not even doing me any personal favors to make me say that. -
I remember spotting that (well it took up my entire fucking screen), and remember the horrified look on my face. Then, I remember the horrified look on the faces of CIA, and then Zed, and then all of chat as they discovered the horror. ...It was terrible. On another note, I wouldn't let MVS forget about learning so much for months.
-
Ouch, missed Zed's birthday. Fuckin' hell. ...But if you contact Todski on AIM, I'm sure that he'll hook you up with some nude women, and we'll just pretend that I got them for you. Happy birthday!

...Yeah, well fuck you too. Some of the Pixies' earlier stuff is a little screechy and raw, but that's kind of the point, so it's basically just a matter of liking that or not in that case. But aside from that, "Doolittle," "Surfa Rosa," and "Bossanova" are all bloody amazing, and while some people joke about "Trompe Le Monde" being Frank Black's first solo album, it's pretty rockin' as well. The thing I love about the Pixies though, is that if someone doesn't like one of their songs, then they still have about 90 others that (mostly) sound completely different. Now die. Pixies 4 Lyfe. *goes back into hole*

Deacon's Movie Analysis for 8/24/03
5_moves_of_doom replied to WrestlingDeacon's topic in Television & Film
... Well, I agree on most of your points, and it was a very good article, but... ... -
But my Blockbuster's version was stollllennn and the other Blockbuster is like ten minutes away! And I'm lazy! *whimper* Eh, I'll have it watched by the end of the week, bitch, though I DID think that The Color of Money was your favorite movie. Loved that, by the way, though I think I already discussed it with you.

I manage to drop in again tonight for a few minutes, and what a treat, because I get it too. (Y) Looking forward to seeing what happens next, and it should be good, because hey, this is Lady Red we're talking about! *sneaks back out of Dad's computer room* -
Frost... er, Deacon... I'd just like to say that I'd thouroughly enjoy a weekly column from you, especially since I'm finally starting to get into a lot of the older stuff that you enjoy (I'm a film buff, but still just in highschool, so while I can blow just about ANYONE my age away with film knowledge, I still have several genres to cover.) I've seen a shitload of it, but there's a lot to be watched still, and go ahead and shoot me, because I STILL haven't seen The Searchers. Yeah, I suck.

You know, I was going for Nirvana hands down, but I ended up Metallica-ing it after reading the thread. Thing is, as overrated as Nirvana once were, it almost seems like they're UNDERrated these days. I know very few people who don't hate their guts. It's true that none of the band members blew anyone away with their instrumental skills, but hey, the energy was there, Cobain wrote some pretty swank lyrics and catchy hooks, and had charisma up the wazoo (not that that adds to the music, but it adds to the energy and overall vibes that the band gives.) "In Utero" was a damn good album, too, and their other stuff wasn't too horrible. Anyhow, yeah, a shitload of people overrate them like hell, but recently I've heard them receive nothing but hate, and while they're no geniuses or Gods, they're pretty decent when push comes to shove.

...Woohah. Well, it's about 1am and this is the first time I've been able to get online in about two weeks, aaaand it'll probably be another two weeks until I get on again. Everything looks pretty friggen' swank, especially the effort put forth by Frost, Danny, and TBS. Anyhow, I know I'm just doing the usual "CONGRATS YOUZ GUYZ~!" shit here, but it's only because I just moved and I only have about fifteen minutes of online time here, until I'm banished away from computers again for another two weeks, after which I will return. The one thing that I'm majorly upset about is the dissapointment that came along with a non-conclusion to Beezel/Atlas, but eh. Anyhow, good job to all who are still effortin' it up, and try harder to those who didn't. Kind of hypocritical since this move is making me so damn inconsistant, but I'll actually have some type of internet connection in about two weeks, and then... well, promos-a-go-go baby, 'cuz it's Genesis time! Let's knock 'em dead with this one, bizznatches.
