I liked the KOTR because it served as a great vehicle to push mid/upper midcarders closer to the main event scene. Now, I know many of you saw the tourny as a waste because, usually, the winner was in the middle of a ME push anyway. Still, I think the tourny served to further catapult the winner to the upper echelons of WWE. However, I do not believe the tourny will ever return. I really don't know wHHHy.
-
Agreed. Completely. I did not understand the logic in having Cena hype of HHH yet severely downplaying his own workrate. Honestly, I just don't understand why you'd have your champion openly downplaying himself while saying nothing but glowing comments to his opponent. That did nothing for Cena.

Ugh, what exactly would the above mentioned superstar do for the competition? Not a damn thing sans his gimmick. -
Doesn't he have an ex wife as well? If he does, that eats a damn good amount of the money up. I don't think he ever married his baby's mama. He planned to but work and Rena got in the way. I heard Brock's going around calling Rena, "Mrs. Lesnar". Did they get married?

I went to the Hall of Fame in 1997 and had an awesome time. Of course, the popularity of the business has changed drastically since then. I'll probably watch that until Samoa Joe makes an appearance on TNA.

Who's that big, bald black guy on Smackdown? His piss has got to come up hot. I'm curious as to how long this program will last.

What is with the WWE bringing back all of these old stars? Hacksaw Duggan, now Marty freakin' Jannety? WTF?????? The KMA Club? Ugh.... -
Celebs/athletes making millions and just blowing it, is fairly common. Having your own jet airplane? that costs some money. Besides, Brock wasn't exactly raking in the money like ESPN and other networks tried to protray him to be. He was making a good income but he wasn't making as much as they implied. I thought Brock had a multi-million dollar contract. He's just a damn fool for spending all of his damn money.

If she can parlay this into a substanative movie/tv career, then good for her. However, all I see her doing after WWE is girl #6 parts in movies. I hope she proves her critics wrong. -
I don't understand how Brock went through most of his WWE money. He made millions, where did it go?

How could she be foolish enough to make comments like that? A third place finish won't do anything for her post-WWE endeavors, if the company decides not to pick up her contract. -
Not sure about the white trash thing but I think many felt Sunny was so hot because she was similar to a hot girl at the bar or a hot neighbor. Not a fake (although I'm sure she had implants) unattainable fantasy hotness like a Candice Michelle or other Divas that look like they came straight from Hef's mansion. It was a more ordinary girl hotness so I get where you are coming from. And Vince isn't obligated to do anything. But he does have a history of reaching out to former employees with troubles or hardships, he's helped people like Ric Flair, Jake Roberts, Jimmy Snuka and brought in Tony Atlas as Saba Simba after hearing word that they had addiction or money problems. Sunny was a big reason for WWF's turn around in the ratings war. She was their most popular figure for a few months even, especially when it comes to net fans. She's pretty much responsible for the whole 'diva' thing that has made Vince so much money (although some would say Sable since she was on top of their most successful run). Ok, I can understand the 'round the way girl aspect of her appeal. I would stop short, however, of giving her credit for the advent of the divas. I think more of the credit would fall to Sable. But Sunny was a definite contributor. She probably needs to stay far away from the business until she beats her addictions.
-
I never understood what everyone saw in Sunny. She always looked like cleaned up white trash to me. Why should Vince feel obligated to help her out? She's gotten herself into this predicament. Besides, she'd just snort up whatever money Vince gave her.

What good is he? Sure, it was great when he first came to WWE as it added some flavor and dimension. But now, what does he add that the company needs right now? I saw let him go and use his salary for someone else, like bringing back Albert.

These guys are famous? Most of my friends/coworkers who do not watch wrestling have no idea who any of these guys are. Yes, they can live in "regular" neighborhoods and drive "regular" cars because the average American doesn't know or care who Gregory Helms or Shelton Benjamin is. -
She's just trying to get attention. I'd only be interested if she had a sex tape with Bret, Shawn or Vince that she threatened to release. Otherwise, who cares about a fat, drug-addicted, washed up has been whore?

Geez, I figured an all-out civil war wouldn't occur until after we pulled out in great numbers. I'm slated to deploy to Iraq in August. Yikes.

Back during the height of the war with WCW, undercard guys were making six figures easy. Now, I do believe the entry level salary for WWE is about $50-75k per annum. That's just ok money in my hometown (Washington, DC). Factor in the rental bills, hotel, food, supplements, etc those guys don't make squat. Sure, they can write it off on their taxes. But up front they don't make a lot. -

If she has a good accountant, she could write off makeup, clothes, implants, hair styling, etc as business expenses. Stacy is 5'11 without shoes. She stands much taller than that in heels. -
WTF? Is Warrior smoking that crack pipe again? No one has cared about Warrior since 1990.

Being a small fish in the "Bigtime" is NOT better than being a big fish in the "larger-than-average time". Especially when the big time views you as the next Rikishi. I'm going to have to second your comment. I know WWE would ruin Joe or make him a mid-carder with a dumbass Samoan gimmick. However, Joe will be the top dog in a second tier promotion.

What was the reason behind the demise of her relationship with Test? Who is she dating now? If she can get any work outside of wrestling from this, awesome for her. However, I just wouldn't be too quick to stop taking Vince's checks and exposure as well. -

Yes, but how long will this last for her? What kinds of legit offers is she getting? Actress #3 or some starring roles? I guess if she leaves on a good note she could come back if things don't work out. -
What about Gene Snitzky? Last time I saw him he was jacked up and had acne all over his back.
