Why does Joe Rogan need a bodyguard? Is he that famous? I mean, I could see Tom Cruise needing a bodyguard, but Joe freaking Rogan?!?

    ***Impact spoilers***

That logic kind of falls apart when you consider that the hypothetical viewer has sat already sat through the UFC end credits and post-show commericals to get to TNA. The end credits for TUF always shows previews for next weeks episode, which most people tend to watch through, and they didn't put a commercial break between the two shows, just for that reason.

BEAUTIFUL coaching by tito during that match. WOW

Bipsing has like the biggest chip on his shoulder ever. Tito surely hired a PR guy before this show started, "Make dinner for them, hire an interpreter for the deaf kid, we WILL remake your image"

This week in the NBA April 3-9

I was just reading the weekend dime on ESPN which featured a Tony Parker interview... Doesn't it amaze anybody that the dude is only 23?!?! I mean, where does he go from here, his ability to navigate in the paint is amazing, he's become incredibly consistent... And he's a good defender. Very underrated player, but it's hard to assess anyones ability accurately who plays for a team like the spurs. But it's amazing that he's so young, and clearly the most durable player on their team as well. Something to just marvel at, because in 5 years when Duncan might be really declining, TP is gonna be hitting his PRIME. That's nuts
  7. Is there anyone who DOESN'T think this will be UFCS biggest fight this year. I know Hughes vs. Gracie and Liddell vs. Couture might end up with more overall money...but these two are at the top of their game, PERIOD. No one is 100% sure who is going to win, and if Pierre wins...well imagine how big GSP vs. Hughes 3 would be I'm kinda stoked for this, September is a long way to go though

I thought it was cool as hell that Tito picked him. I think he realizes that the kid will benefit the most from his hands on training...plus he must have SOME type of potential.
  9. College Football for a school you go to, especially on a big game night. It can be a great environment. I went to Pitt vs. Va Tech like 3 years ago in the -20 degree wind chill sitting in the upper deck of heinz field, and it was awesome as hell. My friend and I decided to go at the last minute and got some cheap scalper tickets, and was well worth it even if I almost froze to death. :)

Well apparently they were only allowed to pick 2 coaches. I could see a weight guy if A. They were training these guys for 6 months to a year...not 2. B. You could have like 5 coaches. But you HAVE to have a grappling coach of some sort. Tito's team has THREE coaches to Shamrocks like 1/2 a coach. It's gonna be brutal EDIT: I mean some of these guys might just be plain better, but in such a short time period and with mostly novices, aren't they the type of people who will benefit MOST from hands on coaching. Some of these dudes don't even know BASICS of certain techniques.

Ultimate Fight Night IV lineup so far

Heh ok! Yeah judges are often morons at these things. Maybe they ought to move to like a panel of 9 judges?

Ha ha. But really, I get your point. How did Bonnar win that? He got in one good shot but Jardine kept his wits and covered up quickly. Other than that Jardine had the clear edge. They want to make Bonnar a star. The UFC judging is as "legit" as boxing's far too often for my liking. The weird thing is I made that post BEFORE the decision, referring to Jardines end of the round flurry, I clearly had that pegged as that clinching the 3rd round and the match for him. I had the match scored 29/28 in favor of jardine. (I'm usually pretty good with scoring, I know for a fact I get more right than rogan does, he's always wrong)

BS. Maybe it's time to reevaluate the judging certification for the ufc.

Now that's how you EARN a decision at the end of the fight.

Bonnar looks to be limping already at the end of that round.

ROFL I never heard that. It's amazing how someone with so much athletic talent, can just lack the knowledge/perception to realize what he needs to do to use it properly. It'd be GREAT for the sport if he applied himself and learned the skills he needs to be good at it. Who knows though.

Well some of his bobbing and weaving is ok...he just needs to get it under control a bit. I've never seen someone in an mma fight get such easy takedowns and do ABSOLUTELY nothing with them. He's so much stronger than Hoger, he could have gotten a full mount on him in the first round if he had any idea what to do...just so odd.

Rashad looks good to me in some ways. He has such quick hands and a snappy jab. In fact, he's probably a better pure boxer than 99% of the UFC...but he doesn't have power, and while he can get takedowns easily on the bigger Hoger, he doesn't seem to have any clue what to do once he has the takedown. He's so raw imho.

I've never trained myself, but I could easily tell that Neers leg was never fully extended (I have bad knees, and that leg lock mgith not have even hurt me), you could see that Neer was still getting some flex and really never felt uncomfortable. EDIT: Just a note, I don't want it to somehow come off that Joe couldn't GET me in a leg lock and break my knee, cus I'm sure he could

Joe seemed to have no way of neutralizing Neer's reach advantage from his guard. Joe couldn't keep him close, and Neer from a distance was just teeing off on him. That reach/height/leverage advantage really controlled the fight (That and the shitty kneebar)

Personally I think it's awesome how HHH over the past year used his hiatus from the show and his slow work back to the main event (with his Flair feud) to make everyone like him, instead of not care about him. I don't have an intrinsic hate for him, so I'm not ashamed to admit I actually marked out for the Pedigree (The only thing on RAW that makes me mark out usually, is Carlito...)

I like the cuban manager. Is it Singh he's managing? That might be good if SIngh ever learns to wrestle.
