I'm "waking up" in two hours to go stand in line...
-
Probably because the nutshots both hit his inner thigh. Seriously, when was the last time you saw a Hughes fight where he didn't "call timeout" for some reason. It really is kind of silly. The second one in particular didn't look even close, maybe the cup he wears is a foot long and anything even close to there will jostle it or something...
-
Yeah I felt bad for Monson. The dude is trying to ground and pound and his punches are falling an inch short. Just a terrible matchup. Thank fucking god GSP won. After Hughes was saved by the bell in round 1 I was so afraid he would pull out a win. Hughes looked bad, but he looked bad against Penn as well. His standup is fucking awful. He holds his hands so far apart he takes straights right up the pipe over and over again. His kicks are atrocious looking - they look like kicks from someone on day 1 of high school karate. No power and very awkward, like he is about to fall over as he does them. He didn't even get close to a takedown. He did nothing. The guy is a dick and boy am I glad he lost.

Sounds like they ditched the incredibly tired formula to some degree. This is the first Bond film I've been at all interested in in decades.
-
Exactly. For ECW and SD they just wait till the day before and say "well shit we've got nothing - um I guess just show a bunch of matches or something!" Their writing staff has no talent so the less time they spend on a show the better. The more effort they put in the worse it gets. DX wandering around outside the arena trying to buy tickets? This shit reeks of WCW downfall era. What was the point of bringing in a bunch of tag teams to job them out in 2 on 1 matches? More WCW logic.
-
Wow this sounds fucking awful. Lame DX skits and lame match stips. Legs tied together? Masterlock on Lawler? I thought TNA were the ones who hired Russo.
-
The Red Sox have been the #2 team in spending for years. Their "evil empire" talk is total bullshit. They are just whiners because one team in baseball manages to outspend them.

That must be why Dilfer was offered a huge contract extension and is considered one of the top QBs in the league. Sarcasm folks. (For those not paying attention) Dilfer couldn't even get a starting job, obviously winning a ring did nothing for his reputation.

Ha ha that was wacky. Run back a field goal for a TD? Every player forgot you can run back the ball? (I did too) What is the rule exactly anyway? Can you run back any FG?
-
The Patriots are running the type of offense they ran when Antowain Smith was the primary running back, except Charlie Weiss was a better play-caller. The plays they are calling now are not as good, but more importantly they don't need to run that type of offense. I thought the Pats looked fine last week, even though they lost it was on some freak plays. But today they just looked bad.

Maybe Smackdown is doing well because it is not "edgy" at all but is actually about wrestling instead of skits recycled from 1998. And it looks like everybody hates Batista. The guy must be a real dick because it seems like only about two guys in the E don't hate his guts.

Damn I forgot SD was on, time to head downstairs to the gym.

Yeah, the 90s remake of Night of the Living Dead was pretty decent. I saw it for free on OnDemand last year.
-
This is Day of the Dead? Is it even supposed to be a remake, it doesn't look anything like DotD. When Day of the Dead started zombies had already overrun the world and the entire thing took place on an army base. This looks more like Resident Evil 3 than anything resembling Day of the Dead. Other than army guys this doesn't have anything in common with it at all.

Who would have figured? I did, last week, when I pointed out that "Mr. Clutch" missed two easy FGs in the superbowl. Edit: I feel sorry for Brady, 4 INTs and at least 2 were wacky tips.
-
I honestly don't get how people can like Dawn of the Dead once it turns into bikers vs. zombies dreck.
-
What the fuck are these officials doing? This is embarrassing.
-
I am praying for the Patriots to win because I am so fucking sick of the Colts and Manning. Then again, I guess people not from Boston feel the same about Brady and the Pats. Edit: Nice play of 4th down. Edit2: Can we let the players play the game instead of the refs?

Range factor is a BS stat. Its an ok general measure but it doesn't say anything about a particular player. How many balls do you field? Well how many are hit to you, where, and how hard? If your staff lefties or righties? Do they throw cutters, fastballs, changeups? The problem with defensive stats is that they are terrible at isolating the position from everything else. That said, Jeter doesn't deserve a Gold Glove. He is a steady fielder, nothing more.

The Chiefs are somehow 5-3, and Larry "fantasy bust" Johnson has put together two great games back-to-back. Who would have called that one after their season start? As far as the Bears go - they are who we thought they were! I have a soft spot in my heart for the Chiefs because they are my Madden 03 franchise team. I once played an entire game without throwing a pass. First thing I did was cut Green and sign a jobber QB with a rating of 46 to just hande the ball to Priest Holmes on every play.

Geoff Tate in his prime was better than Bruce, Bruce tends to be really sharp or flat on high notes sometimes. But Geoff lost his range very quickly. (Or just decided to stop using it starting with the awful Q2k) Yes, I own "A Call to Irons." The bands on there are just horrible. What's the point of putting out a tribute with covers if they are so bad they make me want to avoid all those bands like the plague? I think it was only like $5 or something though.

WWE has been about giving ECW more recognizable names. Punk is not recognizable. I fully expect RVD to win. Punk may be champion but the only way he could win the EC with any credibility would be with some lame thing that would make him almost a defacto heel. (Like RVD and Show do some amazing spot and take each other out)

Ultimate Fighter Season 4 the thread...
randomguy replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
These guys are all jobbers and none of them look dominant against a field of other jobbers. Imaging these guys taking on Hughes, Silva, Franklin, GSP or any belt holder is hilarious. At least newbie TUF guys have talent and can become big. Most of these guys are past their primes and will only get worse. -
Punk hasn't done a damn thing on ECW yet. His best win is over who - Striker? If they don't want him to look weak they can have two guys elimnate him but putting the title on him would be a joke, he has zero credibility as a title holder. He hasn't beaten anyone even at the midcard level.
