Yeah, isn't Shane like the hot prospect or something, even though he looks 10 years too old to be a hot prospect?
-
Exciting game, Prince looks lost. His only role on offense right now is to throw the ball away every time he touches it.

Over the weekend I went to a friend's place for Memorial Day and interacted with Joe Average American instead of my normal nerd crowd. It was strange, all the guys there were talking about the UFC. It was pretty clear that most of them were very recent fans, Liddel was basically the only guy they'd ever heard of. I've been reading about how UFC is becoming mainstream but this was the first evidence of it I've seen personally.

This season has been really frustrating, for some reason my FX channel keeps cutting out for a few seconds at a time pretty regularly. As far as I can tell this ONLY happens with The Shield - very annoying. I missed a lot of the Billings stuff this week, I got the general drift of it but only about half of the actual conversation. Poor stupid Shane - lol. Shane is just not very bright, I love it.

Are you dense? The Suns played an entire game without two players, one of which is a major starter. The entire series is tainted and if the Spurs win the entire playoffs are tainted. No excuses? How about "we're fucking tired because we had to play down two guys and we already lost a game because we didn't have those guys." Anything the Spurs accomplish in this post-season is meaningless now. Honestly I hope the Spurs win the championship because then even more people will realize how incredibly lame the NBA has become. How can anyone respect a champion that had their toughest series handed to them as their reward for playing dirty? David Stern's biggest fan is Bud Selig, because he does the impossible and makes Selig look good. "I don't think anyone said Bowen shouldn't have been suspended, he's piece of shit stuck to the asshole of the league, if you ask me." You can't have it both ways. According to the letter of the law maybe the suspensions were right. But if you don't suspend Bowen you cannot suspend the other players, it simply defies logic. And if you do suspend them you have to suspend Bowen. This is *the* story of the post-season, and if the Spurs win it will continue to be.
-
I didn't see an altercation in either play. How many punches did you count thrown? Oh, that's right, zero. Whether or not the letter of the law was followed is not relevant, because the NBA used poor judgement outside the letter of the law. That is the point here. They even said themselves that fairness was irrelevant. LOL. How fucking stupid are you guys to bend over backwards and excuse a league that outright admits to unfair rulings? How do you not suspend someone for flagrantly kneeing someone else in the crotch? Why doesn't one of you two geniuses explain that one? I guess the NBA doesn't have a rule that says you MUST suspend someone when they purposely knee someone else in the crotch, so that's perfectly fine. If leaving the bench to check on your teammate, as Diaw did, is a one game suspension, shouldn't purposely kneeing someone in the crotch be at least 2 games? Worse crime = worse punishment no? What you incredible morons don't comprehend is the larger context here. Leaving the bench is against the rules so they should be suspended - fine. Kneeing someone in the crotch purposely is much worse. I want someone here to defend the logic that purposely kneeing someone in the crotch is not a suspension. Come on, step right up. For the last time, the issue is not whether or not the suspensions were right. The issue is whether or not the suspensions were right in the broader context of the other shit that has happened in the series. A player who checks on his friend is suspended and a player who kicks someone's legs as they go for a shot and PURPOSELY knees someone in the balls is not. Edit: I wonder if the NBA has an official rule about raping another player in the middle of the game. I'm guessing not. So I guess raping another player is ok because the rules don't specifically call that out, the same way they don't call out kneeing someone in the crotch.

Your defense of them was very poor and really quite silly. What next? Duncan was on the court rescuing a kitten? Normally guys celebrate by walking 5 feet onto the court and standing there for 10 seconds right? LOL. In other news, the last quarter of Nets/Cavs may have been the most boring quater of playoff basketball I've ever seen.
-
What? LOL. Come on, are you purposely being dense? He walked like 5 feet onto the court and hung out there for 5-10 seconds.

Why are people here so obsessed with Leena? Because she is a somewhat attractive wrasslin fan on a board full of man-children?

My fucking FX was cutting out every 5 minutes. I missed who was dead at the gast station at the end. Was it an Armenian? Anyway to answer your questions Aero: Gilroy's wife told Claudette that Vic had asked for the info on Mexican contacts and that Shane had recently been asking about it too. Hernan didn't show up to the meeting they had arranged, they assumed his cover had been blown.
-
Awesome. Let's review: Kneeing someone in the balls purposely - no suspension. Kicking someone's legs as they make a jump shot - no suspension. Grabbing someone's legs as you lie on the floor - not even a penalty. Walking onto the court in the middle of play when players are about to fight - no suspension. Walking slightly onto the court after play has stopped when players are about to fight and you are the Suns - suspension. Funny how that works.

They are. Bowen and Ginobli are both despised by a lot of the NBA and are considered two of the dirtiest players in the game. Most players feel that Bowen goes out of his way to try to injure people. I can't answer why, but look at what happened to Kobe this season. Two suspensions for essentially nothing. If he did what Bowen does on a nightly basis he'd miss 50 games a season.
-
2Gold has it exactly right. The message this will send is terrible - flagrant fouls and attempting to injure other players is fine, but reacting is not fine. Give me a fucking break. Purposely kneeing someone in the balls doesn't get you a suspension but stepping on the court does?
-
That would be pathetic if the Sun ended up with guys suspended over this. I hate the Spurs now. I used to like them in the Robinson days but now they are just thugs and cheaters. The worst was a couple of games ago where Ginobli fell down then fucking grabbed Stoudemire's legs in a deathgrip.

Yeah, it is a lot like Cannon-spike. It is fine co-op, I have not played single player but I imagine it is a lot less fun that way. It is pretty easy for the first few levels then becomes a lot more difficult.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

Serious question - when people type with the caps lock key down, do that really not realize it, do they just not care, or do they not see anything wrong with it? -
I said Masters for a couple of reasons. Someone broke the Masterlock, he started losing to everyone, and in skits his character was made to look like a fool. Compare that to 18 months ago where he and Carlito were breaking into the ME scene. It seemed pretty clear that there was a deliberate attempt to make him look bad.
-
Masters has been buried.

Can anyone point me to a place I can download it? I was all hyped for it then I had company over and missed it. Edit: I have high hopes for Michelle McCool, she looked good way back when she was teaming up with Big Show a bit. She certainly seems athletic.
-
I can't even imagine how this show will end. And it isn't one of those things where the show has been basically winding down for a while.
-
Anyone see the play where Ginobli fell down and then literally grabbed Amare's legs to keep him from getting a pass? I mean he had his arm wrapped around his leg with his hand clutching his calf muscle.

I love how Edge is booked as so crafty and opportunistic.
-
Yeah, there is no way WWE would write that in that style unless it were a gimmick.
-
Edge has the credibility to just waltz in and grab the title. That isn't true of up-and-comers, outside of Kennedy.
