I don't think either will take it. I'm not sure if they said this match would be a qualifier but if it is, I expect a draw or non-finish setting up a rematch with Orton betting involved.

As a sign of how out of touch McMahon is, he should have done this gimmick with Cuban instead. That'd been a real sell.

So, does JR get added tonight or will they drag that out? Are they hitting Texas anytime before WM? If so, that's the right time to induct Von Erichs.

So, are they just going to keep the barber chair for asthetics or will they actually utilize it?

As far as wrestling bio's are concerned, you can't go wrong with Foley. Aside from possibly Dynamite, Ole and Thesz, Foley has the best series of books. Apparently, this book will cover a good deal of his tenure in the indies, which would be a nice addition.

How is Hardcore Holly supposed to keep order?

I always like it when partners wear the same color scheme. Orton's been wearing black and gold, forever. Also, The Marine has come and gone. Get back to the jean shorts and no more camo gear.
-
Maybe they'll put another spot monkey in it instead of Orton. There's a whole month and about 12 shows left to slot Orton into the match. They already have enough spot monkeys and the only other to fit the bill of spot monkey and being a credible name is Carlito and that won't happen.

That's correct. He was just burnt out and needed to rest. I think he just wants to feel wanted by his employers. In WCW, he spent years being held down and ignored until the very end. HHH is a mark for Benoit and I think Benoit feels warmer in WWE even if he's still a routine mid-card act.

Credit: Wrestlemag.com So for those who aren't keeping score, this means that BOTH of ROH's championships are currently held by japanese talent from two different promotions. Conversely, ROH has possesion of a DRAGON GATE championship. Things are really unpredictable right now and not in that Vince Russo "OMG! WACKY SWERVE!". 2007 is already balls-out for Gabe and his creative mind. Night two takes place later tonight and below is the card. SAMOA JOE'S FINAL MATCH Homicide Vs Samoa Joe FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE BJ Whitmer Vs Jimmy Jacobs FIGHT WITHOUT HONOR Jimmy Rave Vs Nigel McGuinness BROTHER VS BROTHER Jay Briscoe Vs Mark Briscoe ROH TAG TEAM TITLES Davey Richards and Roderick Strong Vs Shingo and Doi Matt Sydal Vs PAC Allison Danger and Sara Del Ray Vs Jetta and Eden Black Colt Cabana Vs Delirious. *Also, don't forget that as we speak KENTA is challenging Morishima for the ROH Title in Japan.

Nigel got a win over Joe last weekend and Joe's coming back. You can't just job Joe out because he's no longer a regular. While I do think Nigel could have gained from going over Joe in his "homebase", I don't think it hurts him by any means as he and Joe had what appears to be a really good match and Nigel went over the next day in a FWH's match with Rave. Nigel's in a spot where he doesn't really need a rub from going over a certain talent. People like Richards might have gained from beating Joe but Nigel wasn't in need that much. He'll be one of the key figures for ROH over the next week alongside Briscoes, Morishima, Danielson and Strong. He's in good shape.

Day 2

Is that all? Really? Angle-Joe seemed as if it would be the greatest thing ever and look what happened. One program might be enough to entice a guy like Mick Foley to sign a deal but if you're Chris Benoit, is getting to work against Samoa Joe in a botched storyline and build in front of 2,000 people in Orlando enough to give up job security for life? After that, it's basically the same people he was working years ago (Angle, Christian, Jarrett). I'd love to see Benoit/Joe, Benoit/Aries, Benoit/Low Ki and Benoit/Shelley but put it place for Benoit. Benoit had his chance to leave and he took the right path and stuck with WWE. Just like RVD did before and most likely will again this summer.
-
Why would Benoit be better served in TNA? To dick around with Angle and Christian again and again? To put up with moronic storylines and jerky plots? He can keep a good paying job, still work some of the best talent in the world and be assured a job for life after he hangs up the boots. Everyone treats TNA as some great destination for supposedly mistreated WWE talent but it really isn't a better place to be. Only people like UTSU actually bother to notice that Benoit doesn't appear everyweek or lost a match at one point or another because he holds stock in a win-loss record in a worked tv show. Benoit will always be over and sold as a threat for the fans. He'll probably never be a steady main event act again but he really never should be despite how much people want to believe that Benoit could carry a promotion/brand. He's in the right place as far as his status is concerned. Upper mid-card who works at the mid-card level with guys like MVP, Helms and Finlay but doesn't raise an eyebrow if he was in the main event. As far as what Benoit will do on Raw? I'm not sure but the first thing that comes to mind is a deal with Umaga. However, I'm sure since it'll be over the IC title, alot people here will still think that's a burial.

According to Rich Franklin and Dana the rematch with Silva will be in Cincinnati, maybe you can go to that one. Amazing fight from Randy, totally not what I expected to see. Yeah, Cincinnati is right down the road. Is it expected to be PPV or a Spike Show? Either way, I'm there.

That's basically what I was going with, that MVP would steal the title away at Mania and only give Benoit the rematch with that clause. Personally, I think this would have been better with Kennedy playing this role instead of MVP. MVP can be a better bumper and kicking Benoit off Smackdown does a slight bit more for Kennedy rather then MVP, whom I don't think will ever be considered a legit main event threat. I just think it would have done more for all three of them in the end. Giving Benoit a better match, Kennedy gets the title reign and the added bonus of sending Benoit away and MVP gets to bump, although that isn't much of a upgrade. I figure that Kennedy isn't going to win the MITB, might as well let him shine at Mania. People use that word (buried) far too liberally around here without applying it in the right content. A screwy job and possibly a second one or a hard fought match doesn't bury Benoit. Losing two straight matches doesn't bury Benoit. Not being booked at all, or being a complete JTTS like Masters is a burial. You lose one match and people here are quick to grab the "BURIAL!" signposts.

They could just give her a paycheck and not make her an on-air role. Give her a job at the offices or as a west coast rep (if she's still living in Arizona or even if she's moved back to Texas). Having her as the GM and giving her a lead role is just to further exploit Eddie. A girl whom has no charisma, personality, acting skills and although it shouldn't matter for a GM role, attractive enough to keep a viewing audience captive shouldn't be placed in the lead role. Stephanie at least had a connection to the viewers and at one time was an appealing character. This is just a bad move all around. Teddy Long moving back as a manager is a poor move. He was fine as the quiet GM that didn't make the show about him, it's what gave SD a different feel then RAW aside from the actual in-ring quality.

I'm really pissed I ended up not being able to go. I don't know when I should expect them to return in such close proximity although I believe it did sell out, so that should help, right? I didn't even want to order it just to remind myself what I missed but has it gone well?

The idea to put over tag team wrestling in ECW is a nice idea in theory but the execution concerns me if a new Le Resistance, Vito/Guido and Murdoch/Cade are the best options. I do agree that Raw hardly utilizes the tag titles anyways. Moving WGTT would be a good move, since they aren't going to be used on the mid-card as singles workers anyways. Although, the reality is not about good talent being used. You can have great matches with inferior talent as long as you build it up well enough and right now, Rhodes and Lagana seem capable of doing this. I'm shocked/disapointed they haven't done anything with Jamie Knoble since cutting Kash. The guy could be the focal point of the CW's or a part of another tag team and there's plently of guys he'd fit with. Especially, Jimmy Yang. Not quited thrilled by a tag team battle royal but I figure it'll fill up alot of time and people. Might be better off doing a Tag Team Turmoil type match with Carlito/Flair, WGTT, Kendrick/London, D&D, Regal/Taylor and Cryme Tyme. Those should provide some interesting pairings, especially a Regal/Taylor Vs C.T spot with some hilarious reaction shots from Regal. If they put Benoit onto RAW, He's probably doing a loser leaves town stip against MVP. Not sure if they'll use the stip for Mania or a post-mania rematch. Possibly MVP cheating to win the title at WM and Benoit only gets a rematch with that additional stipulation.

Another one tonight. Holly, again. They changed the intro video look.

So I guess WWE Films department has seen "Battle Royale"
Hawk 34 replied to NoCalMike's topic in Television & Film
I'm fairly sure this is the 5th time someone created a thread on this. This is a gimmick concept that goes beyond Battle Royale and Running Man. A movie studio ripped off an old movie, oh my god. -
Let's be honest, Leslie wasn't winning this thing. Antonella gives the show that "Good god!" factor that worked so well in the past. Her and Sundance will battle for that slot weekly.
