It really wouldn't be any different from most SS matches in recent years that weren't the strong match. Like we touched on eariler, the weaker match has gone 12 minutes and this match is hardly different from those matches.

92 minutes of matches? you do know they usually go 150 (2.5 hours) at least. What's the other 58 minutes going to be? promos? Chavo/Benoit - 12 Legends/Squad - 10 Cena/Show - 25 Lita/Mickie - 10 Taker/Kennedy - 15 RKO/DX - 35 Batista/Booker - 18 Buildup Videos - 10 Filler - 5 That's 140 minutes there... 2 hours and 20 minutes. I could see the US Title match, the Legends match, and Cena Show each getting an extra 5 minutes each, giving a total of around 155 minutes, which is more toward the norm. I wasn't including entrances which usually add another 5 minutes to each (probably more for the two SS matches), with the team formats, I would expect 4 skits involving each of the 4 teams. Video packages, ad's would fill up the rest of the show very easily.

That's basically what I said in my original prediction. This match will be loaded with DQ's and such which is fine because alot of people here need to be protected. No one is expecting a wrestling match here, the interest is in the big personalities clashing and wild antics going on. I still think we'll get a RVD victory over TBS after Lashley puts TBS down but is dragged away by Heyman's cronies. I think MVP is eating a quick choke-slam and hopefully they can move Kane away from him and perhaps stick him against Finlay, whom is suddenly not busy anymore and I think that could be an interesting dynamic. The rest can be done any sort of way. I just see Umaga going bat-shit on Cena drawing a DQ with Finlay stealing a cheap pin with assistance before eating a FU from a pissed off Cena with someone else finishing him off.

The Smackdown Matches of ‘03 and ‘04 aren’t that different from this year’s match involving Cena and Show… 2003 Holly, Benoit, Cena, Angle and Bradshaw Vs Lesnar, TBS, Morgan, Jones and A-Train 2004 Guerrero, TBS, RVD, Cena Vs Angle, Carlito, Reigns and Jindrak 2006 Cena, RVD, Sabu, Lashley and Kane Vs TBS, Test, Umaga, MVP and Finlay Basically, the matches are structured the same in the line up, including involving TBS, Cena and RVD. You get a rounded wrestlers (Finlay) with big men (Umaga, Test, TBS, Lashley and Kane), thrown in with a couple meaningless mid-carders (MVP). The only wild-card is Sabu and he’s probably getting jobbed right off the bat. Besides, why would you want this match to go beyond 12 minutes anyways? It’s a total train wreck that’ll involve interferance from Heyman and cronies and with the workers involved, it’ll be an ugly match that’ll depend on a hot crowd and a good heat segment from RVD or Cena. These people are best utilized in a shorter frame and there’s no need to stretch it out further then it needs to be when it’ll be mainly used to build for D2D with 5 of the 6 wrestlers for the EC match involved here. The other match consists of much better wrestlers that are more akin to working a long 25-30 minute tag team match (aside from Knox, who is probably a lock to go out first, anyways). It’s better to give this extra time instead of letting each match get an equal share and it’s pointless to analyze since WWE will make sure that DX/RKO match gets the most airtime given the names involved.

I agree. Lashley will have to play Lesnar for Heyman here since he's even worse with promos. Luckily, they have done a decent job at keeping him quiet enough in his tenure. TBS taking a big bump at D2D or maybe even stretching it out to RR to write him out does wonders for Lashley and would leave the door open for TBS down the line. Either way, Lashley looks good for sending the TBS out the door. The problem is? RVD/Lashley will be horrible. That's the problem with putting all your eggs in one basket and that basket is a flimsy green roid monkey who doesn't have much going for him other then passable charisma and INTENSITY!!! (Which is damaged since there's going to be an almost identical, but slightly shorter clone that can actually talk on Raw). I would say moving Punk into the main event as the main face since he can carry the whole thing on promos alone as well as being a much better worker for a guy like Lashley to work with but even I don't think he can really make much out of Lashley. It's getting to the point where they might need to cash in that Benoit reserve card and let him make something out of Lashley.

In 2003 and 2004, in which there two 5 on 5 matches, one match would go 25+ and the other would go 12 minutes. In both cases, the matches with the better "workers" and more heat went longer (or in other words, the Raw match, and DX/RKO is basically a raw match with guests) and since WWE usually keeps the same format in practice, that's how this years show would work.

The problem with that is that Philly will shit on that. It wouldn't be Savage/Liz where Savage just lost his job after a hard fought match and Liz, the beautiful girl that he wronged came back to him. The best way to wrap it up is doing this Have Edge walking from the showers in a towel looking tired and making a reference to getting laid in the shower to Orton when Lita comes in gear heading to her match and Edge blows her off. This establishes that Edge is sleeping with someone behind her back and that Edge is still a dick. While Lita heads towards the ring, she bumps into Matt who says "good luck" in a sincere manner. Lita goes in, jobs clean and does a respect angle with Mickie. Lita comes out with Rated RKO but in the process "accidently" trips Edge causing him to eat a pin from Matt or anyone for that matter. Edge is pissed and chases Lita around, screaming at her. Matt steps in and lays him out. Matt and Lita stare down and Lita smiles and simply nods her head and walks away. No fake sentimential reunion/kiss. Just an acknowledgment from Lita that she's sorry for everything she did and it's closure with Matt/Lita and Edge/Lita.

I was already covered with ROH shows aside from the most recent releases which I'll get during the next sale but I used this sale to get some NOAH stuff and the rest of the Heyman period OVW stuff I didn't already have.

No one needs to end the streak, period. Just put Taker with Benoit since that's the only big name he hasn't faced yet on a big level aside from Batista (which can easily be served for the NWO ppv) or Edge, and I expect Edge to be used in the Raw main event.

Typical Vince. Without another top heel on Smackdown (Like anyone really considers Booker a long term plan internally), Vince panics and goes with the big man again because that's all he knows. Instead of using this opportunity to create a new star in Kennedy, they go to the old-stand by of The Undertaker. Batista has no need to end the streak because he beat Triple H clean on 3 straight chances at WM and HIAC, no less. That's about equal in terms of a rub. He doesn't need it and there's no point in ending the streak now. The only chance to end it and giving it value was with Orton and they passed.

Thanksgiving went smoothly on all accounts. Wednesday night was a intimate little dinner that allowed for better conversation along with the quality meal that my mother always cooks up. The only bump in the night was trying to hold down my girl’s stuffing. She claimed to have never cooked before in her life, other then baking cookies and I believed her after taking my first bite of that concoction. I learned quickly that if things progress further for us and once we live together in a few months, she’s going to require cooking lessons from my mother or the wallet is taking a pounding because I can only grill, but I’m good at it though. Thursday afternoon, I had lunch with dad’s family and like I said, it’s always boringly predictable but since it’s drama-free and pleasant enough, I don’t mind it. The food isn’t that great since it’s cooked by my two aunts whom aren’t culinary experts. The only saving grace are the pies and I’m not much for pie, unless it’s Pumpkin Pie from Frisch’s. (I’m not sure if that’s a local thing or not). After boring repetitive mingling with the various family members, I snuck out a little early and headed home to change because of my punk ass little cousin still learning how to pour himself a glass of punch spilled all over my black and white track jacket that I just brought the day before. I’m learning that Orange punch isn’t easy to get out. So, I went to the girl’s family thanksgiving dinner and like always, I feel more welcomed into any of my girlfriend’s family then I think I should. I guess it’s my warm nature that endears me to them. With a larger crowd of virtual strangers, I had to be on my A game. She has a cousin that she’s fairly close to and she had brought her bf along as well but he was a complete nervous wreck and got himself into one way dead end conversations and I felt sorry for him because one on one, he’s an alright enough guy, if not a boring personality though. I decided to help him out and loosen him up and it seems to do the trick as he finally warmed up and the rest of family seemed more responsive to him then they were initially. Naturally, this scored me major points even if that wasn’t my intention. I was just trying to help a poor guy out in a situation that I could feel empathy for. On Friday, a lot of idiots went out shopping in a mad rush for discount sale products. Usually, they aren’t worth the trouble unless you’re needy for a video game system that isn’t remotely worth the gaudy price tag. DVD’s aren’t ever really marked down enough for me to justify the madness. I can buy the EXACT same DVD’s for roughly the same price at most independent distribution centers around here. Fuck Best Buy, Fuck Circuit City. Charging me regularly $25 for something that I can get for $10 dollars across the street. Fuck, I could go to a flea market and buy TEN “new” DVD’s for that price. I was asleep. Allison, wasn’t. As much as I protested, she insisted on going through that insanity with her girlfriends not because of any particular sale but rather because she enjoys the scene of Black Friday Chaos. I’m a sadistic person but even I can’t derive pleasure out of seeing soccer mom’s bury elbows into each other for a $50 TV. It’s a fight without honor and I’d lose. Luckily, she survived without wounds but she did have a big verbal confrontation with some big fat black “cunt” (in her words) who demanded she (Allison) give up her parking spot right smack in front of the store because she drives “a tiny ass car” and that spot should be had by someone getting big objects and driving a pick up truck instead. Just the kind of girl that I would go for, she turned back around and went to the car and sat on the hood with a girlfriend and opened up her phone and starting playing Tetris sending the other lady into a frenzy and storming out of the parking lot. I felt slightly guilty as she even brought me a few DVD’s just cause she knew I didn’t have those particular dvds, including the Roddy Piper DVD even though she hates wrestling. Meanwhile, since I had the house to myself and my mother, we decided to set up the house for Christmas. It was sort of bittersweet setting the house up since in the back of your mind, I'm thinking that it’ll be the last Christmas in a house that I grew up in. Traditionally, we always had a live tree but with the rising cost of natural trees and the money tightening right now from them, they went and got a fake tree instead. I can’t stand it. I’m a traditionalist and I can’t buy into a fake tree, even if it’s just a symbol. This is the first and only time we have done the fake tree routine and if I can manage, I’ll make sure my future kids will never know the horror of a fake Christmas tree. While she did the interior work, I was doing the outside light display work, which I had fine tuned to perfection over the years. We used to be extravagant but we settled back and with classical and boring white lights. However, If you have ever seen that Budweiser commercial with the house with the crazy light display? I live right by that particular house, so it’s not even worth the effort competitively as it used to be in having the best light display. On Sunday, I’ll actually order the WWE Survivor Series PPV. I know buying anything from WWE unless it’s one of their DVD’s is always a crapshoot but I’m not hurting for $ and I was always a mark for the traditional 5 on 5 format anyways. The problem with buying a WWE ppv is that the price tag is ridiculous and you could buy 2-4 DVD’s from ROH/NOAH and be assured of a quality wrestling show but a part of the “fun” with a WWE show is not knowing which WWE will come out that night. Is there a classic match on the card? Nothing really, except maybe the DX/RKO match that is loaded with some very good talent that should be done well in a long match and the First Blood match stands to be a good-decent brawl. That being said, I alluded in previous threads about what was the 2006 MOTY and had insisted it was Danielson/McGuinness from Unified but I have to change it. Danielson/Kenta was beyond this world.

The problem with using Booker/Batista for the main event is that they haven’t clicked very well in the ring because with Batista, Booker has to lead and Booker isn’t all that great at it. The feud has been decent and borderline good. Granted, being a great match isn’t required for a main event especially in this show’s case where there are two other matches probably expected to carry the show. They’ll have good heat one way or another but I can’t help but feel that if they really wanted this to be a main event match with the emphasis on being their final match, it should have came with a gimmick. Such as a cage for instance. If it does end up as the main event and that’s always in the air because they have changed announced main events many times, it doesn’t lead well to the hopes of the DX/RKO match getting the time it should (25-40 minutes) but does improve the chances that Punk will go over. 7 matches and the times should read as follows Chavo/Benoit: 10 Minutes Legends/Spirit Squad: 8 minutes Cena/Show: 12 minutes Lita/Mickie: 5 minutes (They didn’t work well before and we all know Lita’s last stand really occurs during the RKO/DX match) First Blood: 15 minutes RKO/DX: 30 minutes Batista/Booker: 12 minutes
