I don't think Kennedy will exercise the MITB until next Mania. That is one of the last avenues they have to use the MITB creatively. And Kennedy is the kind of person to plan that far ahead, I think.
Oh, I think we can see the rumble winner wanting to challenge at WM but Kennedy denies that person the chance and that becomes the mini-feud leading to WM.
I have no problem with the match. Keeps Orton-Edge simmering, allows time to build for Shawn to be a complete heel against Cena for the re-match. Cena detractors will complain that it somehow makes him look invincible by beating 3 men despite that not being the case. This isn't 1999. We don't need 2 title changes a month. Should be a solid match with a pair of good workers and two guys more then capable of playing along.
The only similarity is Hopkins. How does this film look any different from all the other thrillers? SOTL was pretty different from those and this one as well.
Oh, and Smith was superb in Happiness. Salvaged that movie. Great story but it wasn't easy to watch.
No one cares about the finish itself, it was pretty much a given from the second this match was announced that we'd see a double finish. It was the flawed execution between these two and how horribly they played it up. We've seen the double pin/submission finish work many times before and while it's usually contrived, it can be effective. This wasn't. It has nothing to do with the quality of the match by any measure.
They just had to do the rise up from death and hit a snap SCM spot for Shawn. These things work best with cradles or suplexes, not when the guy just falls down on the other. Only a small handful of these finishes fail to feel contrived but last night was a horrible attempt.
I just picked this up and I've only taken in a couple tracks but I'm enjoying "Four Winds" and "Lime Tree". I still can't help but feel let down by Bright Eyes. Just seems like they keep getting close but not enough.
If you go back, you'll see that the girl knew the guy and I assume had to see Bobby walking towards her as she was leaving. Given that, the news of the guy's death is likely to be reported. She could easily say "I saw a fat guy"...but that wouldn't help. I don't think he gets "caught" but it will screw with him because not killing anyone was pretty important to him.
Jess McMahon, Vince Sr's father. Although, I don't think he ever promoted wrestling, just boxing.
Jess and Vince Sr. promoted wrestling together and when Jess (His name is actually Roderick) died, Vince Sr created WWWF.
