  1. How was that? She was the generic one, sprouting her whiny loser cliched anti-idol shit.
  2. It'd be Punk-Chavo IV, but they could just as well do the final match with the EE rules in place but the problem is with this, Punk doesn't even seem tested by Chavo and EE shouldn't in that regard. Chavo lost the first two matches on his own with Punk outsmarting him to get the count out and Chavo slipping and getting caught like an idiot. Given that Edge likely plays a hand in Chavo getting the title shot, Chavo really looks weak. That's not a big concern. It'd give Punk a singles match at MSG where he'll be hugely over and it'll look good for him to those that aren't regular viewers of ECW. It's not as if Chavo needed to be protected. Hopefully, Benjamin has a strong showing in the Rumble (perhaps as this year's iron-man) and they get rolling on Benjamin-Punk at WM.
  3. Any comments/feelings about Mike Zimmer? The new defensive coordinator for Cincinnati? I figure Ripper probably has one as well as the few supposed Dallas fans.
  4. Is that the Jobber? No, you're thinking of Chavo. Colin is the pasty white guy who gets squashed at the urging of Tazz.
  5. It's Elijah's turn, isn't it?
  6. Edge-Punk confrontation should be very solid. I expect Punk to piss Edge off, Edge interfers in the Chavo match and gives Chavo that win, setting up Chavo-Punk IV at Rumble and likely a Punk/Mysterio Vs Edge/Chavo match on Smackdown or next week's ECW.
  7. Undertaker winning anything is a waste. Edge should be BEGGING to get 'Taker at WM.
  8. Michaels Vs Mysterio: Battle of the Underdogs. Shawn makes an off hand remark about being the biggest underdog in the history of the WWE and Rey obviously takes exception. Shawn shouldn't be in a ladder match with his myriad of injuries.
  9. Make Hardy-Orton the main event at Royal Rumble. Batista/Taker winning the rumble can't match the overness Jeff will have.
  10. It wouldn't hurt to give him 2-3 weeks. Orton beats Hardy at NWO in a gimmick and continues onto the Batista and/or HHH feud without losing steam.
  11. Holly and Rhodes.
  12. One game doesn't make it a rivalry, Marvin.
  13. The MSG crowd wouldn't shit on Punk. It annoyed me they didn't explain it, or at least, I didn't notice any explanation. Punk could have gained from a quick promo saying "Whatever, I'll give the guy another match, I didn't pin him the first time around, so I'd love to amend that". Instead, Punk comes out smiles galore with no reasoning. Someone nailed it in a thread describing this Punk push as a Bret Hart circa 1992 push.
  14. Huh? Sophia Bush? It's a non-story but Sophia Bush put an end to all the talks that she and Romo were once an item and basically said Romo was perfect for Jessica Simpson. Which was a not-so-subtle way of saying that Romo is a brain dead dolt (as his playoff performences would attest).
  15. Shitty week for Romo. First Sophia Bush and now a playoff loss by his own doing.
  16. People went to First Sunday but ignored The Great Debaters? My head hurts.
  17. Jay was injured the night before on friday and while a concussion was ruled out, they did the worked injury spot as a precaution.
  18. If TBS is back, should we go ahead and pencil in TBS/Khali for WM?
  19. Who is to say they won't? These two could keep the promo wars hot for another 8 weeks, easily. The set up of Jericho being dragged and nearly hung up, would suggest they could do a strap match at RR with a non-finish leading to the blowoff at WM. Otherwise, Jericho's lost in the shuffle.
  20. Ratings went up during the Diva Search.
  21. I remember this routine when Tom Zenk did it.
  22. He got hurt from a splash (which is what the wording of that sentence indicates) not exactly a dangerous spot in comparison to the other stuff these guys usually do. It's unfortunate but injuries are prevalent in this business. Jay didn't continue the match.
  23. Main Show 1) The YRR of Sal Rinauro, Jason Blade, & Kenny King defeat Delirious, El Generico, & Mike Quackenbush when Delirious was hit with a crutch and Jason Blade got the pin. Good opener. ~All of Sweet & Sour Inc. with the exception of Bobby Dempsey are in the ring. They announce the $1000 Daniel Puder submission challenge. First up is Alex Payne, and he's submitted quickly. Rhett Titus is next, and he's done in 30 seconds. ~Larry Sweeney announces that Chris Hero and Sara Del Rey are now the Intergender World Tag Team Champions. They will defend the belts against Ernie Osiris and Alexa Thatcher. The belts are a joke. 2) Chris Hero & Sara Del Rey squash Ernie Osiris & Alexa Thatcher to retain the "Intergender World Tag Team Championships". 3) Roderick Strong defeats Jigsaw when he made him tap to a new submission. It resembled a backwards Figure 4. 4) Jimmy Jacobs defeats Jack Evans by submitting him to the Guillotine Choke. 5) Claudio Castagnoli defeats Austin Aries after two Ricola Bombs. Aries was playing heel throughout the match. ~Claudio calls out Puder and says he wants to take Puder's $1000 challenge. Claudio puts up $1000 of his own money to take on Puder. Puder can not make Claudio tap, so Sweeney attacks Claudio with a chair and steals his money to end the first half. ~INTERMISSION~ 6) BJ Whitmer & Shane Hagadorn defeat Bobby Fish & Eddie Edwards after a Whitmer powerbomb on Fish. 7) Kevin Steen defeats Brent Albright with the Package Piledriver. Good match. 8) FIP World Heavyweight Championship: Erick Stevens defeats Bryan Danielson following a restart. Just like last night, the match ended via countout and Stevens has it restarted. He PINNED DANIELSON with a Doctor Bomb. (then I died a little inside). 9) The Age of the Fall vs. Briscoes brawl ends in a no contest. Jay got injured during a spot with a ladder and EMTs came out to attend to him. The Vulture Squad (Evans & Jigsaw) came out and brawled with Black and Necro. Apparently this became the match, as Jack won with a springboard 630. Nothing else said about Jay.
  24. I expect them to give each show the same stage but use different lighting for each show.
  25. In Jericho's case, he's more determined to get revenge on the guy who cost him the title on two seperate occasions and tried to hang him. MVP knows retiring Flair would be the biggest accomplishment of his career and would sacrifice a spot in the Rumble to accomplish that. Flair already proved he can win the Rumble, beating a champion (even if it isn't a title match) at this stage in his career would be a chance to prove he's still the man.
