  1. I think the best thing Axl could do is quietly put out an album this year and then tour in support of the two albums. It would move people past the idea of Chinese Democracy and put the focus on music instead of the weird things that go on around him.

I couldn't agree more. And maybe this time the album won't be so over produced.

  2. I thought we'd had the III discussion before. I still can't get behind that one. I think the blues number is by far the best song on the record, (and among Zeppelin's finest), but I have no use for Side B whatsoever. They start off with such a nice rock groove, hit the big songs, and then the other half of the record is this overproduced mess of quasi-folky whatever.

Then we are on different planes, sir. Side B of III is probably my favorite side of any record, ever. "Tangerine" and "That's The Way" are two of my favorite Zep songs, and "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" is unbelievably fun. I could take or leave the closer, which I guess devalues my argument a bit, but to steal a phrase from a fellow poster: C'mon man.

For anyone who doubts zep III... Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp with 20 drunks in the room is so amazing and fun.... It's just love man.

  3. Since I've Been Loving You is the most tedious song on that album. Otherwise, it's probably their best, although I'm only vaguely interested in Led Zeppelin.

I'm a huge mark for the blues, so of course I'm going to love it. Plus, Bonham's drums sound absolutely amazing on that song. JPJ rips it up on the keys too.

  4. No order.

    Black Sabbath - Volume 4

    Led Zeppelin - III

    ACDC - Back In Black

    The Beatles - Revolver

    Sloan - Navy Blues

The Arctic Monkeys - Favorite Worst Nightmare

    Oasis - Definitely Maybe

The Von Bondies - Pawn Shoppe Heart

Kings Of Leon - Youth and Young Manhood

    The Redwalls - The Redwalls

list will probably be completely different if you ask me the same question in the next month or so.
