What did everyone think were the best and worst matches? Best for me was London and Kendrick vs James and Stevens followed closely by Benoit and Regals 12 minute wrestling clinic. The worst was obviously MVP's squash.

So, are they going the over-hyped route with him then? Looks like it. After Benoit's return JBL said he should go backstage and call MVP out.

I really enjoyed this show. Everything was great except for MVP's debut.

MVP is a terrible gimmick for a rookie because unless his matches immediately tear the roof down, he'll be utterly shit on by everyone. They would have been much better off using it on Shelton Benjamin or Gregory Helms.

The show just finished over here, solid as usual. Batista no-selling a low blow by Little Bastard was stupid but he was quicker and more fluid than he has been since that beatdown of Mark Henry. Kennedy cut a fantastic promo as well.

Is the point of putting Lashley into a PPV main event not to elevate him? And was the point of feuding Batista with Finlay not to try and rescue Batista's overness? Batista has been floundering since Mark Henry got injured and Lashley has been improving all year and got a huge boost from the mini-feud earlier in the year against Booker when they had a series of good-great TV matches. Why not show some faith in Lashley rather than putting on a match that will almost certainly just end with another dusty finish of some kind. Hitting the panic button like this is probably just as likely to hurt the PPV buyrate than help it because it totally disrupts the build that has actually been going for a decent amount of weeks for once.

Changing the No Mercy ME so close is bullshit. Finlay and Batista both jobbed to Booker and Lashley to set up the two matches, so why throw them back in randomly? I was really looking forward to Book and Lashley tearing the house down and Finlay stiffing the everloving shit out of Batista too. That Gregory Helms quote rules so much, I'm sigging it.

Its going to be sad if Harry Smith has his legs cut out from him in a program with Hogan. And by 'if' of course I mean 'when'. Debuting Harry Smith with a competetive program against somebody like Ken Kennedy or Matt Hardy or even Booker's Court would be a great addition to Smackdown right now.

SD has been building to No Mercy since 2 weeks before Unforgiven when Kennedy threatened to go to Raw and Teddy Long put him in a match against Undertaker. That's close to twice the typical length with WWE's current PPV schedule. As far as gimmick matches go, the Angle/Orton/Mysterio stuff earlier in the year was gimmicked up with title shots on the line, Undertaker and Khali had a Last Man Standing match, and Big Show filled in for the Punjabi Prison match. Raw has definately tended to overbook PPVs in comparison to SD this year though.

Yeah it makes perfect sense to stay in kayfabe backstage in front of all of the wrestlers. He was talking about on-air during Batista's return episode of SD. So yes, it does make perfect sense.

The belt that they brought in for the undisputed championship, please.

Maybe Vince will finally go crazy and Shane will join with Steph and Hunter to have him committed and take over the company.

I noticed that when the ref said something to them and thought it was weird as well. If they really didn't do anything except curse then that's pretty shitty of WWE to completely kick them out of the arena.

The crowd was pissed off that Edge lost but they definately weren't booing every offensive move he did by the end of the match. Hence, he turned some of them. Not all of them but some.

That was just setting up Kennedy vs Undertaker at No Mercy.
