Yes, Scott doesn't write for websites or anything anymore, but he still writes the occasional book and has a blog where he discusses wrestling amongst other things.

Should Austin come back for one last match at Mania 25?
Dandy replied to Angle-plex's topic in The WWE Folder
Maybe. I got the stats from the same guy that compiled records of every WM participant. He was counting what was actually shown from the start of the PPV, not dark stuff before it. It's arguable that it was a WM loss, though, so count whatever you think individually. -
Well, you are entitled to your opinion. However, there is a good mix of people on West Coast and East Coast times, and it is the set up that the new administration wanted. If they do a horrible job over the course of their tenure, I could see complaining. If nothing is going wrong, I personally don't see the point in complaining. That is me speaking for myself, and not for the mods. You have been the most vocal about it, Bob, and it makes it sound like this is really rubbing you the wrong way for whatever reason. Everyone involved is trying to make improvements that the posters want to see, not by being tyrannical and imposing their wrath. I quoted policing because that was the term you used. Moderating is not all about banning people and "policing" the place.

Wrestlers with a minimum of three matches at WM that are undefeated: Animal 3-0 Ax 3-0 Hawk 3-0 Rob Van Dam 4-0 Sable 3-0 Undertaker 16-0 -
Having people on at the necessary times is one problem. If you have 4-5 moderators and one is on vacation, 3 are asleep and the other is not online, that doesn't really accomplish much. It's not like we have that many moderators to go around "policing" everyone and banning people. Bannings have been changed to trips to the Gulag, and Cheech and I don't have power to do anything like that anyway. We are basically trying to restructure and bring some life back to the wrestling folders, and the other guys are handling the necessary things on the board. There were roughly the same number of mods as last time, but Cheech and I were made custodians, not exactly mods.

There are other undefeated male wrestlers at Mania, but no one with a considerably long streak. -
Cheech came up with an idea recently that has been agreed upon. Scott Keith is going to do a question and answer segment with us here at TSM. Cheech contacted him, and he agreed to do the Q & A. For those of you who do not know Scott, he has written the following books on professional wrestling: "The Buzz on Professional Wrestling" "Tonight...in This Very Ring: A Fan's History of Professional Wrestling" "Wrestling's One Ring Circus: The Death of the World Wrestling Federation" "Wrestling's Made Men: Breaking the WWE's Glass Ceiling" Also, he has a book coming out on Chris Benoit. Scott kept a pro wrestling FAQ for a long time and wrote for some of the bigger wrestling websites along the way. He started a website named Rantsylvania, which morphed into The Smarks. TSM has existed in some form or fashion from the forums on those sites up until our current incarnation. Scott's current website is http://www.rspwfaq.com. This session will be hosted in the WWE folder, but we are pinning the topic in every wrestling folder so you will be aware of it. Please post any questions you would like Scott to answer in the WWE folder thread. Please refrain from rude or unnecessary questions or comments for Scott. If necessary, we will delete questions of that nature before sending them for Scott to answer. This thread will be up until Monday or so, and then we will close it and forward the questions we have. Hopefully, this will lead to similar projects in the future.

Umaga uses a variation of the catatonic where he releases his opponent.

Maybe not a bad idea, twizted. It would take a universal effort to keep that format, though. We could certainly try that.

You need to add the word "shat" to your vocabulary. You won't find it in Webster's but it is the past tense of shit.

While that makes sense to you and I, others don't want anything spoiled. That is why I am asking it here. Frankly, I think if it is a spoiler of any sort, it can be brought up in the spoiler thread. Matt asked if we could put the match list in the show thread, so I'm seeing if that is okay with the masses. We want to do what the majority of the folder agrees upon. If there are a bunch of posters who would rather not know any of the matches, random or not, then they shouldn't have that "spoiled" for them whether we think that way or not.

Honestly, I think the reason that he was getting comparisons to The Rock were because I lot of wrestlers were getting that comparison. Remember Rob Conway? He got that comparison on here for a while. One major reason for that could be that WWE was constantly trying to make the next Rock. Orton, Cena, Carlito, and a few others at one point were hopefully "The new Rock" in WWE's minds. As for what I was saying about him being Lazy, Pong, was not his slow demeanor in the ring. It just seemed like he didn't put any effort into any of his moves and did not do much to sell his opponents' offense. He was just collecting a check and not trying to advance his career. Right after Flair lit into him on Raw that one time, he came out and was motivated for the first time in several months.

Thanks for the correction, Mik. I new it was the shin part of the leg, but I did not say that at all. However, most of the gogos I have seen were not in the same position that Taker and his opponents were in.

We are trying to accomodate the consensus of the folder, Bob. If you want to ridicule our attempts, please do so in the Verizon Wireless Chocolate Socket.
-
Yes, you could. In the past, some posters have stated that revealing any matches not listed in the preview are "spoilers" for them. If we were to decide to keep any matches that were non-spoilers under that regard, we wouldn't need to post them in the first place because they would be mentioned in the preview anyway. ALl of these things need to be discussed and agreed upon.
-
Certainly an option. Edit---Just speaking personally, however, it will no doubt spawn discussion that will necessitate spoiler tags, and that usually leads to half the posts in the thread being tagged and the other half not discussing spoilers. I will do whatever the majority wants to do, but I would prefer the spoiler discussion be discussed in the actual thread we have for it. No sense in making two threads spoilerish.
-
Okay, we need to get a consensus here. It was brought up in the Smackdown thread that it would be good to have the matches listed (sans spoilers) for the show via the spoilers thread. I don't mind that at all, but I know that people have had a problem with that in the past due to surprises, booking decisions on the show, etc. Which do you prefer: listing the matches that might ruin a small surprise or not listing the matches? Let us know.

When Carlito was in the three way feud over the IC Title and he looked motivated, he was impressing me. After that, he got lazy and by the numbers. To me, he is the kind of guy that they shouldn't keep around. He has potential, but probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for his father's name. His act is stale to me, and they should have just kept trying to make him the new Razor Ramon. At least that was better than what he is doing now, which is just being bland and having an accent. If anyone desperately needed moved to Smackdown/ECW, it's Carlito.

Dunn has actually improved tremendously. There is a perceived lack of hustle at times, and he still hesitates while deciding where to throw the ball to, but he no longer runs routes like Magellan.
-
Tell that to Adam Dunn.

If Sid could recapture the awesomeness of Sid/Goldberg where he bled all over the place, I'd like to see Sid/Batista.

Do you want to start one based on Cheech's format, bps?
