Dude...shut up.

Hahaha are you serious about this? "Nerdcore" rap is the worst shit ever. Sorry, but I'm not from "da hood, y0." I don't care for ugly faces and big fat asses, I don't want to "get crunk," and I don't do drugs. I believe in a hard day's work for my pay, I believe in mutual respect amongst my peers. I believe in talent above marketing. I'm familiar with Star Wars, indie horror/sci-fi, and punk rock. If rap is meant to be the "music of the people," why would I listen to a bunch of men who don't look, talk, or act like I do, let alone have entirely different belief systems, ramble on about topics I have little care for? The few rap artists I do listen to are either better-than-average at what they do (Ice Cube, Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy, Run-DMC) or have something about them that I can associate with. I'm a white nerd from the suburbs. So why the motherFUCK would I want to listen to a hundred thousand different people rhyming about how the "white man has got me down" (Immortal Technique, anyone?) or about "backin' dat azz up." MC Lars speaks to me. He, along with other rapcore artists, take rap music for what it was meant to be: fun. There's a quote from Run-DMC that I can't find, but the summation of it is that 80's MCs would do party-rap because they didn't want to be reminded about the world of shit that they lived in. Plus, how many rappers do you know could take the Scorpions' "Rock You Like A Hurricane" and sample it into a dance beat? How many could do rhymes about Edgar Allen Poe one minute, and then break into ones about depiction of Hell throughout literature? Shit, how many rappers actually even KNOW what the fuck Dante's Inferno actually is? Good job generalizing everyone who enjoys hip hop as a lazy, uneducated retard. And btw, why should they care about Dante's Inferno? Because you and others think it's a literary masterpiece? How does it pertain to them? How does it connect to their life? Just because someone isn't up on classical literature, it doesn't mean that they are stupid, or unintelligent. So take yourself off of this pedistal that you've put yourself on.

When I get home I'm going to edit a picture of a bong into this post. Why? Explain your opinion.

Okay...that pissed me off.

I can't wait to see CM Punk get RKO'd.
-
I concur...Seriously...she's probably the hottest diva on the roster right now.

This Mike Adamle angle is pretty entertaining...I'm interested in seeing where it goes.

...Damnit, now I'm going to have to clean my sheets tomorrow for my upcoming dream of myself, Beth and Natalya in a 3 way... Yeah, my pelvis would most likely be shattered...but it would be so worth it.

As unattractive as Beth's face is, I bet she's an absolute animal in bed.

I'll list mine in no particular order... Weezer Eminem Radiohead Smashing Pumpkins O.A.R. The Flaming Lips The Beach Boys Incubus The White Stripes Ozzy On the matter of Rap music, it's a matter of personal choice. It's perfectly fine to not like the music, but it's not fair to discredit the artists (well most of them). Eminem has more musical talent than so many rock artists. He's one the same poetic level as Edgar Allen Poe. He's a lyrical genius. Not to mention, he was able to take his raps, rhymes, hooks etc. and reach out to so many people and convey a message. You might not like Eminem's sound or genre, but theres no doubt that the man is a musical genius with the talent level that ranks among the elite.

Santino Marella is a probably in the trouble

Slammin back one too many cans of ass whip. -
I thought that it was a pretty entertaining segment. The Rock Bottom on Hillary was awesome, but Bill made the segment that much better. The crowd wasnt shitting all over it like the Rosie/Trump segment and actually I think got over pretty well. The speeches by the actual candidates seemed to work out well too, even when referencing wrestling to the wrestling fans, they were able to not be that cheesy.

Random Thoughts 3-27-08 to 5-28-08

I could see how some would be upset he didn't stay for the whole show, but being mad that he was too funny is petty. Doing a comedy routine...what did they expect? For the Rock to come back and not entertain the fans there? Lets say that Rock didn't do any of his old schtick...I can guarantee that many of the fans wouldn't be going home happy. A lot of the complaints just stem from jealousy that not only is the Rock finding a happy and successful life outside of wrestling, but that he's more over and cared about than just about everyone on the current roster. -
The thing that I can't fathom about the people that support Benoit is the fact that they continue to defend a man that they never actually met in person. You've heard what his FRIENDS have said about him, and you've heard what others have said about him. I don't think any of us have the knowledge about Benoit to really defend him. None of us have lived, worked or travelled with the man. However, we do know that he killed his wife and child. By all accounts, that makes for a pretty sick and evil human being.

Oh good god...The two guys who I mark out for more than anything else...Carlito and Santino...I'm gonna love this.

Dont you mean Cade? not Kendrick? Geesh...first Lilian, now you...just shows how irrelevant both teams are. ummmm...no I meant Kendrick. He was acting like a dick last week and I smell a slow burn turn for him......and tonight it looks like Murdoch might be turning face.......do you understand now? Or should I repeat one more time? Repeat

I've always been a fan of Carlito's work. Regardless of whether or not he was lazy in the ring, I don't know. I'm not in the position to judge someone's ringwork. However, if he was doing anything at a slow pace, I figured it was to cater to his laid back gimmick. I personally find Carlito entertaining. He hasn't been booked right I dont think. He was really great when he came on the scene because he was played off as the cocky, egotisical heel that eventually won him over with the fans. I think if anything, the WWE should at least give him some of his character back. The only thing similar about his original gimmick now is the apple, music, and half of the fro. I think Carlito can really shine as a heel or as a face, if given the opportunity. The WWE has turned him into another generic character. I mean, no one has gimmicks anymore, at least not on Raw. Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade were originally western cowboys, now they're just generic wrestlers with country music. I still think gimmicks need to be a part of every wrestler, so they can stand out from the rest of the wrestlers.

First off...Thanks Cheech, or whomever it was that let me back. Second, I have no problem with the Batista/HBK angle, although I think it's not a good idea to get Flair himself involved in the angle. I think after his send-off on Monday, it should be a while before we see Flair on TV again, just so nostalgia has a chance to kick in and we can appriciate his appearance more. I'm not so sure they'll try to turn either guy right away. They might just let the fans make up their own minds on this one as both guys are over as faces (although I'm hearing more and more boo's for Batista). I'm not going to expect any great promo wars here to make the story more dramatic. I think with an angle like this, it would have been better for a guy that can hang with HBK on the mic to be involved, rather than Batista.

Well...being over isn't a reason to be given the title at all..Let's say RVD or Jeff Hardy got the titiles when they were at their best...What then? They certainly can't do much in terms of making the stories behind the matches any good. I think if either one of those guys got the title, there would be the big moment when they won, but the months to follow would be awful. The only guy that can get over as champ without talking much is Taker. I think as soon as Hardy or RVD won the strap, they would have realized it was a bad idea, because the whole idea of wrestling, is storytelling. I think it would have been just like when Randy Orton won the title in 2004. It was great when it happend, but they soon realized that at the time, he wasn't the one for the job.

Will anyone ever get over this? Probably not, but with good reason. Van Dam was ready to completely break out as the top face of the company. He wouldn't have gotten to the levels of Austin & Rock, but he would have been bigger than Cena because every fan unanimously loved Van Dam. RVD would have made the WWE a boatload of money if they let him run with it, but HHH killed it dead. And then HHH did it again a few months later against Booker T. Booker T. & Goldust were the hottest team to come around since the Dudleys in 2000 and when Booker went single, the fans were nuts for him. He had a Rock-like reaction since people went rabid for his little breakdance. HHH's ego and selfishness, along with Vince McMahon's blessing to do it, really cost that company a lot of cash in 2002 and 2003. There's a reason why those two years were the most unmemorable of the last decade. RVD would have NEVER been as big as Cena. First of all, RVD is terrible on the stick and second, he can't tell a great story inside the ring because of that. The greatest wrestlers have always had the most charisma and have always been able to tell great stories inside and outside the ring due to their charisma. Rock, Austin, Hogan and Cena aren't "technical" by most people's standards, but it really doesn't matter. They've still went on to wrestle in some of all time greatest matches.

I think a lot of you are fooling yourselves if you think Taker and Edge will main event. I can't remember the last time that a Smackdown match was the last one. I mean even last year Taker and Batista wasn't anywhere near the end. John Cena is the company's biggest star and he should and probably will main event wrestlemania once again along with HHH and Orton.

Chavo looks like Joe Rogan

You must be under 16 years old Workrate and professional wrestling as a whole is a matter of opinion, not fact. Many people here hate the attitude era for the reason that they feel that there were no great matches during that era, well I personally found many great matches, not because of the moves used, or the spots, but because of the stories behind the matches. It's fine if you don't like Cena, but people who like Cena aren't wrong or incorrect. They just have different tastes.
