  1. From time to time I've tried coming up with an MLB Dream Team. Always a fun idea, but it leads to a lot of tough cuts. Particularly when it comes to an established ancient player like Honus Wagner or Babe Ruth where the statistical evidence is overwhelming. If we limit the player pool strictly to surviving players though, we get players who are still relatively fresh in the memories of the fans. Players of whom we actually have footage. Let's see what we come up with.

Feel free to come up with NBA, NFL or NHL versions if you wish. Or post criticisms of this one.

A really solid list. The only thing I would change is Jeter for A-Rod at SS and I would get rid of Pedro and put in Nolan Ryan.

Edit: Oh, and take that shitbag Manny out and put in Reggie Jackson.

  2. Magic & Bird are the 11th & 12th people on your team? Really?

Magic should probably be ahead of Steve Nash, but for some reason, I just think Chris Paul is an all around better fit for the starting 5. Lebron is just filthy so he's not going anywhere, but I could see swapping out Pippen for Bird for a 3 ball shooter off the bench. Bird would be a great 6th man.

  3. NBA:

    PG. Steve Nash

    SG. Reggie Miller

    SF. Scottie Pippen

    PF. Tim Duncan

    C. Shaq

Larry Bird and Magic Johnson filling out the roster. Phil Jackson as coach.

  4. Is there any number that hasn't had a winner yet?

Obviously. There's been less than 30 Rumbles.

I was going to say that, but I wasn't sure if that's what he meant when he asked...

Anyway, I like the Cody/Goldust interaction. I like how Goldust somewhat broke character and they mentioned his past matches...probably just a way to get Austin's name into the conversation, but it was still cool to watch.

  5. Gotta hand it to the Cardinals. No one believed that they would get out of the first round, I'm glad to see them succeed.

Another loss for McNabb but it was far from a losing performance. 375 yards with 3 TD's. The defense couldn't step up like they did in previous weeks. My hats off to McNabb for keeping them in the game. I'm sure we'll see him suit up for Philly again next season.

  6. Lions need to draft Michael Crabtree... talents like that don't come around every year.

I would agree if the QB and Defensive Line weren't such big needs. Calvin Johnson is one of the best recievers in the league already and I'm not sure if they need another big play reciever.

And who knows, Michael Crabtree could turn out like Charles Rogers, Troy Williamson, Mike Willams, Michael Westbrook etc.
