  1. Steve Austin gets a lot of attention in the weeks before Wrestlemania and the HOF, where he is inducted.

Vince McMahon starts to suffer serious health problems.

    A WWE superstar will die.

Jeff Hardy will recieve a third strike, but due to his popularity, will still remain on the roster.

    Kennedy will get hurt again.

2009 main event scene will involve all of the same guys.

  2. But he still led the CARDINALS to the playoffs. It's not all his fault that the TEAM hasn't played well in the last few weeks. Every player in the MVP hunt has had sub-par games.

Wow, he led an 8-8 or 9-7 team to the playoffs in the worst division in football! His team was 3-7 against non divisional opponents. That's not MVP caliber. On top of that he's had four subpar games in a row at the end of the season. Incidentally he's played like shit ever since Arizona clinched their division, which happened just at the time that they started playing legitimate teams instead of the creampuffs in the NFC Worst.

All I'm saying is that he doesn't deserve the sudden lack of praise. The defense just gave up 47 points. Granted, the offense played poorly too, but I'm saying it's not all Kurt Warner's fault if the Cardinals lose games.

  3. You're really getting butthurt about this Harrison/Ware thing. The MVP should just be Peyton Manning, the end. Maybe Adrian Peterson if the Vikings win today. I hope they don't.

I wouldn't count out Kurt Warner either. I don't care about his last couple of games, he still led the Cardinals to the playoffs.

He's done nothing in the last four games. That's not the mark of an MVP. He probably won't even play much next week either and even if he does they'd be foolish to let him, Fitz or Boldin play more than a drive or two. If he'd started horribly and then put up the numbers he did then he would have had a shot, but how can someone win MVP when they didn't play a really good game from Thanksgiving to the end of the season?

  5. I honestly wonder what happens with Matt Cassel next season. I know it won't happen, but if it were up to me, I'd give the MVP to Matt Cassel hands down.

He still has Tom Brady's receivers and line. Let's not get carried away, Roho. I think someone will sign him and get burned. Wasn't this guy Football Darko for a while?

If you're referring to me, then no.

  6. How important is a defensive lineman in terms of winning games? What more could he do, make 40 sacks? We all know who's at fault for Dallas sucking lately and it's not Ware.

Ware is a Linebacker, but apparently James Harrison is cause for every ounce of success Pittsburgh has.

  7. So how did the Lions go from semi-decent this year to 0-14? Was it all losing Kitna?

Their defense is terrible. I think the offense is good enough to compete, but they've been ahead early on a roll, but the defense let the other teams score like 25 consecutive points.

  8. Because the Steelers have won their division and Dallas might not make the playoffs.

The Steelers still have a lot of stellar players other than Harrison that have made them the #1 ranked defense. Without Ware, the Cowboys defense suffers horribly, if we're to take MVP in the literal sense...

Either way, the MVP will go to an offensive player like always. The DPOTY will probably go to either Ware, Harrison, or Ed Reed.

Owens calls Emmitt, Keyshawn 'dumb and dumber'

Terrell Owens fired back at ex-Dallas Cowboys Emmitt Smith and Keyshawn Johnson for their non-stop criticism of the current edition of America's Team.

According to the Dallas Morning News, without prompting, Owens fired a few shots at Keyshawn and Emmitt today.

"Those two need their own show — Dumb and Dumber," said T.O., who was otherwise jolly while sporting a Cowboys-customized Santa cap and blinking red nose.

Owens called Smith a hypocrite for publicly calling the Cowboys a bunch of individuals, then leaving a message on Greg Ellis' cell phone to pass onto the team. (T.O. wouldn't say what the message was.) T.O. also pointed out that Emmitt doesn't even know the name of the rookie running back who starred against the Steelers, since No. 22 apparently referred to Tashard Choice as Rashard.

As for Keyshawn, Owens pointed out for the 1,348th time that the Cowboys gave Keyshawn a pink slip so they could sign him.

"Obviously, this guy is still really jealous of me," Owens said, "because I'm here and this guy is in the booth talking about me and the Cowboys."

  11. That was the most painful thing I've had to watch all season long.

At least I can take comfort in the fact that Atlanta lost as well.

I wouldn't blame T.O. for being pissy after this game. How the fuck did the manage to lose this game? The defense plays fantastic football, Tashard Choice fills in for Marion Barber great, but they still lose...

Romo did throw the key interception that sealed the game basically, but the entire 2nd half was a mess. They need to be better organized when they enter the huddle and have a fucking plan about how they're going to get the first down...

    Fuck...

Three tough games left. Dallas is more than capable of beating all three remaining teams, but if they actually do is a different story. They had the Steelers beat today, who a lot of people were calling the best team in the AFC, but fucked it all up. They can beat NYG, Baltimore, and Philly, but they need to play smart football.

  12. Oakland at San Diego - The Chargers are probably the biggest dissapointment this season, especially with all the preseason Super Bowl talk. Dallas was overhyped too, but at least they are still in it. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Raiders pull out the win here against a really uninspired Chargers team.

Jacksonville at Chicago - Talk about another dissapointment, the Jags have completely done a 180 from where they were a year ago. The Bears aren't that good either, but they should get the win here.

Minnesota at Detroit - Looks like a no-brainer on paper, but who knows...

Houston at Green Bay - If Green Bay wants any realistic shot at winning their division, they need to win this game. I think Green Bay wins this one based on the sheer fact that if they don't, they're pretty much done.

Cleveland at Tennessee - Will probably be as ugly as everyone thinks. Tennesee by a lot.

Cincinnati at Indianapolis - Indy struggled last week against the Browns, but I think they get their groove back and soundly beat the Bengals.

Atlanta at New Orleans - Atlanta is playing some really good football, but the Saints are always good at home. This game is a toss up.

Philly at New York Giants - The Eagles should have more confidence going into this game, but I still think the Giants will find a way to win.

New York Jets at San Francisco - After last week, the Jets should be pretty pissed off and will take out their frustration on the Niners.

New England at Seattle - New England should win this game, but I think that it's a closer game than a lot of people think.

Kansas City at Denver - Denver has some momentum after that win against the Jets. They should continue their winning ways and harrass KC.

Miami vs. Buffalo (at Toronto) - Miami knows that they need to keep winning, and I think they keep on winning this week as well.

St. Louis at Arizona - The Cardinals should win, but after last week, maybe people are realizing how over-rated they are.

Dallas at Pittsburgh - Game of the week for me. This is definitely Dallas' biggest challenge in a while, but given the confidence that they have now with Romo back, I think that they sneak out a win in a pretty low scoring game.

Washington at Baltimore - The Redskins had a tough loss last week against the Giants, but they're still a good team. I think the Redskins show the world how fickle NFL fans can be and get some respect back.

Tampa Bay at Carolina - Tough game to call, but while Tampa Bay has beaten respectable teams, the Panthers have pretty much just beaten up on bad teams. I'll take Tampa Bay here.

  13. 1992 United States Basketball team...If we count this team, they can't be left out. They totally destroyed every country they played without any trouble.

    1995-1996 Chicago Bulls.

2007 New England Patriots (Yeah I said it too)

1999 St Louis Rams and 1998 Minnesota Vikings aren't far behind either.

  14. 1. How do you feel about the Dallas/Detroit tradition? How would you change it, if at all?

Don't care. It won't be an issue when Detroit becomes semi-good again.

    2. Are there ten QBs in the league -right now- that you would take over Matt Ryan? If so, who? If not, does that blow your mind? Where do you rate him?

Umm...Let's see. 1. Brady, 2. Romo, 3. Brees, 4. Peyton, 5. Eli, 6. Favre, 7. Warner, 8. Cassel, 9. Jay Cutler, 10. Jason Campbell (yes I said it) and fuck it, I'd take Vince Young over him too. The Falcons are a good team all around. I think Matt Ryan is getting way too much credit. He's good, but I'd like to see what he does next season.

    3. Who is the best player in the AFC west?

I still have to go with Tomlinson, regardless of this year.

    4. Where does Donovan McNabb play next season?

Something tells me he has a good stretch of games and he stays in Philly for at least one more season.

    5. Why does Seattle suck so bad? It can't all be Hasselback, but I really don't know.

Maybe just a bad year. Look at SD and GB last year. They were playing great, hell the Lions went 7-9.
