Clarification on this thread: 1) Use this thread for fights when a card isn't even close to finalized yet. Lesnar/Couture would have been a great example. If BJ Penn is going to defend his WW title against Thiago Alves at UFC 95 but that's the only fight known, DO NOT start a thread. Put it here. Once all the details come out then we'll move all discussion from this thread to that one. I'd say there needs to be at least 4-5 bouts announced before an event has a thread. Also - please don't start an event thread more then two months out. 2) As such - this thread will probably remain a very small thread because most of the posts will be moved out of it. I'll try my best to steer all discussion into the appropriate places.

Hated the digital short when I watched it but the "space luge...totally cancelled" part has been stuck in my head off and on. It was pretty funny. LOVE Kenan's Barkley and the story about the dream team and Michael Jordan was great. Phelps sucked balls... didn't laugh at a single thing he did. The best part of GSP on Inside MMA this week is at the end they do this split decision segment where the panel gives quick answers.... The slam dunk question was "Who is your favorite American Gladiator?" and the easy answer is, of course, Gina who is sitting right there. It pans over to Georges and he's just intently staring at the graphic. He picks Crush because she's "the best looking" and afterward he turns to Gina and says "wait, that's you?"... he had no idea Gina was Crush. It was a pretty funny little segment. It was a good episode all around. My only gripe is they should have asked Georges more in-depth questions about BJ and left out the Anderson Silva talk for a later time. Hopefully when Kenny said they'll ask BJ the same questions when they have him on means that they'll have him on.

Yeah... in the UFC's eyes I guarantee that Quarry isn't far below those others mentioned in terms of the middleweight picture. Obviously we might not agree but I could easily see Quarry getting a shot if he strings 2-3 more wins together.

I was dying when Clooney went upstairs and grabbed the sex thingy they always advertise in the back of Maxim after cutting up all the carrots. That was probably my favorite small moment as well... To answer the original question of the thread: they have some groan-inducing tripe but when they have a good song "...Dance Floor", "Flourescent Adolescent", "Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweethearts"... then it's usually a damn good song (if you're in to that sort of music).
