I think I first mentioned Chris Volstad on this board about 3 years ago... it never looked like he was living up to his full potential in the minors but he's looked outstanding so far. Shutout the Phils today over 6. If he works on his control a bit he'll be fine. It's not every day you see 6'7 finesse pitchers.

I can't wait to see it tomorrow. I say tomorrow because 11pm is past my bedtime these days... pathetic I know.

What does everyone think? I hate it on the surface but when I think about it I can see the improvements that they made. Condit is legit, though, so I always look forward to watching him fight. Brian Stann has already knocked out Steve Cantwell so I think they are giving their new posterboy (behind Urijah of course) an easy first title defense. The fight I'm looking forward to the most is Varner vs. Hicks. Hicks is really friggin' good and if Varner brings his A game that could be a war. Bowles/Page should be a spectacular 135 pound war as well. Obviously WEC 36 is the stacked money card but this isn't too shabby either.

I'm personally pretty excited for UFC 89... especially since it's free. Jay White/Roy Nelson is going to be added to this card. Some might be saying Jay White, who? He's a trainer at Xtreme Couture and sports an impressive 2-5 record. If this wasn't an Affliction card I'd wonder why Big Country even accepted the fight but I'm sure Tom Attencio will pay him enough to be covered in turkey gravy year round.

I have a Maxtor. No complaints.

I just saw a commercial on ESPN saying to stay tuned to Sportscenter to see how Manny compares to Babe. Gag me.

Topic says it all. I don't feel like wading through the sea of extensions to pick out the winners. Two I recommend that are both Gmail oriented: Better Gmail 2.0: Adds functionality to Gmail, includes customizable skins, shows what attachment is instead of just the paper clip. Remember the Milk: Task-bar that pops up on the side of Gmail that you can add tasks to do... really helpful for me. Serves the purpose of sticky notes but since it's in something I check 100 times a day anyway I don't forget anything. Any other useful ones you have to recommend?

They did as late as last week. It's gone through a ton of changes since I switched... they are still heavily working on it. Hopefully they add that back in.

I was in NYC this weekend and there is a billboard for this show in Times Square that was one of the larger ones I saw. It covered about 30-50 floors of a building or so pretty close to the MTV building and Toys'R'Us. I'm not sure if they do that for every card but it was cool to see GSP/Fitch/Lesnar/Herring being advertised so heavily.

No. I'll do you one better. He WAS overhyped then. He was still an excellent fighter with a great pedigree but people were saying "best of all-time" then and it wasn't warranted.

I second the sentiment that YPOV should post more. I also agree with what he said. Maaaayyybe BJ was overhyped circa /GSP 1 and /Hughes 2 but I really don't think you can say that now. I'd go so far as to say that if he beats GSP for the WW title then he automatically jumps up to one of the best of all-time no matter what he does for the rest of his career. Gomi was the #1 LW in the world at the time of their bout and BJ just steamrolled him.
