I find it hilarious and I'm not sure if I believe it... although I definitely think it's plausible. The very last thing I purchased was 16 electrical outlet covers, 8 lightswitch covers and a set of 5 silver drawer handles. Being a homeowner makes you boring. Affliction has the big guns in the HW division right now but really with Cain, Carwin and Brock the UFC HW division is going to be so solid from 2009-2012, at least. As for Vera, he looked like shit, yes... But there's precedent and Joe gave a really good example last night in Rich Franklin looking like shit in his 185 debut against Jorge Rivera and then after he got used to the cut = total domination. Not only was it Brandon's first cut but he took the fight on a month's notice. Not everyone is going to look as sharp as Michael Bisping did when they are making their first cut. If he keeps fighting like he did last night then he could beat Fedor. The boxing and Muay Thai were so sharp. I want to see Andrei get the shot but I can see why they'd go with Barnett. I don't know. I hope the show did well so they can stick around longer than three cards. Replace Jay Glazer and the promotion is money.

Personally I think Tyson Griffin needs to suck it up, drop to 145 and give us the fight the WEC can promote like no other. The first fight with Urijah was pretty damn good, IIRC it was pretty even until Tyson caught him. The rematch needs to happen. I also think Tyson should just be at 145 in general. That probably won't happen until he loses a few in a row, though.

Here's the problem. Fedor already said he's planning on fighting again in the US in October and on the NYE card in Japan. I'm not sure Randy will be legally able to fight by then, at least for the US card and I doubt they want to run that fight in Japan. I don't know... I guess we'll see. But Fedor's hands are so fast. It's almost not even realistic.

Oh my god, Arlovski looked absolutely incredible. And Rothwell is a beast, my God. That flurry at the end of the 2nd round might have killed some people and he didn't go down. Arlovski/Fedor assuming Big Timmay loses. Has to be.

I'm pretty sure Arctic Monkeys aren't in the same washed up category as CYHSY... their 2nd CD was pretty highly praised and sold quite well I think. But CYHSY kinda fell off the face of the earth. I put Vampire Weekend more in the latter group, personally. How much afro-pop can we all handle?

This is the main story on ESPN.com which is something I can't ever remember seeing for the UFC. Anyway, wish I could have seen Martin/Belfort but they just replayed a clip of the KO so I'm happy. The graphics and videos are superb here. I like how they list the camp in the tale of the tape. The ramp/setup is pretty cool too but it would be better without the drum kit still there. My local FSN isn't carrying the undercard. Boo. Because I live in NY I only get one FSN because I get both the damn Mets and Yankees TV networks. Oh well. Still 7 hours of MMA tonight if I have it in me to watch both back to back. Bas and Kenny are actually going to be in Japan, I think...instead of just calling it from a studio in LA. Inside MMA next week is being taped in Japan as well.

It's been easy to overlook with all of the MMA tonight but DREAM 5 is in two days. Kid Yamamoto is off the card but Overeem vs. Mark Hunt has just been added so that's a plus.

I see a difference in the pictures. Look at the muscles at 205. Pecs are much bigger, shoulders and arms more defined. It's subtle but also pretty obvious, I think at least. This is coming from someone who charts all of his workouts and keeps excel spreadsheets of his daily weight for the past few years so maybe my perspective is off.

I guess I have nothing to add that hasn't been said by just about everyone else... This was my favorite movie in years and I'm not really a big comic book fan.
