    The Office: Season 4

Beadie Russel was not on five seasons of The Wire, only 4. And I was just in Scranton... not like I'd only go back for Mindy Kaling, though.

By the way we're still doing weight classes. I'll take care of it.

You guys only have a few years to wait until Windows 7.0 comes out anyway. Then none of this matters.

    Death of the movie star

This article is stupid and pointless. Some of the old guard have seen their stars dim out but that doesn't mean there are no movie stars anymore. Sloppy and lazy writing.

UFC 87 - Seek and Destroy

Tong already helped me out a bit here. Herring has never been able to stuff a take down and I think Brock is the fastest, strongest, most explosive wrestler that the heavyweight division has seen in a long time, maybe ever. I fully conceed that if it stays standing then Heath will probably win the fight but I just can't imagine how it does. Heath is also not going to be able to pull a sub out of his ass while his face is getting pounded into oblivion like Mir did. Did you see Mir's face after ONLY 30 seconds? You're right. Brock hasn't concretely shown anything at all yet but I strongly believe in his potential. Hey I'll be the first to admit if I was wrong after the fight.

    UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin

That's a nice $10,000 donation to the prize pool by Forrest. What charity.

    UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin

You're just as guilty of it as he is. As am I... which you'll see every time Ed Herman fights. Ginger trailer parking mother fucker. Let's just everyone relax and play nice or I might have to actually moderate a thread.

    This Week in Baseball 7/7 - 7/13

My favorite minor league pitcher, Chris Volstad, made his MLB debut yesterday and got the win in two innings of relief. He has the potential to be a very good MLB pitcher. I want to be optimistic about the Marlins so badly but the run differential tells me to curb my enthusiasm.
  9. Congratulations to Frosty for winning the earnings title for Season 3 and to Cuban Linx for defeating YnA by one point to win the points championship.

UFC 87 - Seek and Destroy

Herring has done absolutely nothing in the UFC to make me think he can beat Brock. Nothing. If knees to a downed opponent were legal he'd be a better fighter but that still wouldn't help him in this fight because I can't envision a scenario where he'd be on top. I know Heath is more well rounded than Brock and has boatloads more experience but I'd honestly be shocked if he won the fight. It all comes back to JOB making Heath look like a punk and Brock being about 10x the wrestler/athlete that O'Brien is, in my mind.

    UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin

My entirely non-scientific opinion was that Rampage won the fight. Granted, I watched the fight in a bar without sound and surrounded by about 75 people huddled around one sub 50' plasma. Everyone there, including myself, thought Rampage won the fight... but I need to watch it again more closely and more soberly.

    UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin

Sorry for slacking on my mod duties...my life will be back to normal next week. I think I talked some casual MMA fan friends of mine in to ordering so I may just get to see this tonight.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

Two cool pieces of news floating around. 1) UFC 89 is free on Spike TV so Bisping/Leben and Sanchez/Alves for free. Nice. 2) All federal drug charges were dropped against Leonard Garcia. Hopefully he can put a win or two together and get in the cage with Urijah. I'd like to see that fight. Garcia looked great in his WEC debut at 145.

    YOUR Fight Team...MMA Draft!

Can we maybe drop the 12 hour rule over the holiday weekend? I'm going to be out of town but I don't want to crap out of the draft.

    Fuck Apple

Bet some of you didn't ever expect to see this thread. Last night right after the GSP/Serra fight my connection cut out. No big deal. I reset my router. Didn't work. Reset the cable. Didn't work. So I restart my computer and now all of a sudden I have "no airport card installed." I googled this problem (on my damn phone) and see that it's happening to tons of people after upgrading to Leopard. Well - it just happened to me completely out of the blue. I call Apple support and they give me some restart tips to maybe get it to work. All these things accomplished was also wrecking my speakers, which now also no longer work. I go to Best Buy - buy an external hard-drive...back up the entire system. Erase and re-install Leopard as a last resort and still nothing. So the hardware for my internet and sound just spontaneously fried. I was this close to selling my MacBook on eBay and going back to PC but wait - I used Time Machine to back up all my files - so if I ever want to see any of my music/photos or school documents ever again I need to suck it up and pay the $400 to get this shit fixed because Time Machine backed up files are only Mac compatible! I'm not sure if I'm just whining or not but my god, I'm so angry about this right now.

    MMA Starter Kit

I made some edits to this. Changed around some fighters... got rid of the prospects section, deleted the IFL. I decided to wait until after their second show to see what's going on with Affliction and include them in the organizations list. Looking over the roster for that first show it's hard to tell who is signed to them and who is a hired gun.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

I like that matchup. Matt has come a long way, seemingly, since TUF3 and that fight might be a lot more even than people think. Since Rich is a small LHW, Matt might be able to take him down and impose his will. If it stays on the feet though, Rich will murder him. Matt's gotten to be a better striker but he's still not on Rich's level. As for the move up - he's got to. Even if he wins 10 fights in a row at MW no one wants to see him get another title shot.
