I have a feeling though that Bill would have kept it lighthearted and talked about sports alot. And also "The Wire", because he has mentioned a few times how he likes Barack so much because he likes to play basketball and has professed his love for some of Bill's favorite TV shows.

Two interesting pieces of media related information: 1) Bill Simmons podcast guest this week was actually going to be Barack Obama! ESPN, for some unknown reason, scrapped it and wouldn't allow Simmons to have Obama. ESPN made some BS reason as to why that doesn't necessarily make sense. Dude never should have gotten fired. Baseball Tonight has gone so far downhill the past few years - it's sad.

The only one that was free was the Gonzaga/Cro Cop main event card. I think that also had Bisping/Sinosic. Victory was on PPV. That had Griffin/Guida, Forrest/Ramirez and a main event of Franklin/Okami. Also Rapid Fire was on PPV. That of course had Penn/Stevenson as the main.

There's actually been a ton of trash talk going both ways for this fight. It's become quite heated.

I sort of agree. I'm all about the main event but a lot of the fights I want to see on this card aren't exactly marquee.

You know what, though? I was bummed at first that Bejar wasn't there because I'm definitely a fan. But when it got to the end of the night the only song that I really wanted to hear that I didn't was Myriad Harbour. He's obviously important to the band but they definitely got all of my favorite tunes in without him. I had been listening to their discography for a few days prior but had mostly been skipping Electric Version. Well, I had forgotten how much I liked "Testament to Youth in Verse" until I heard it again live... that's a good one.

So I saw Okkervil River and New Pornographers tonight. Pretty damn good show. Okkervil River played for about an hour and were pretty darn good. I was a bit disappointed because they did a bit of a screamy version of my favorite song of theirs, "Unless It's Kicks" but overall they were good. No Bejar for the Pornographers, but I guess that's pretty standard. Neko was sick but she mostly sounded good. Couldn't hit the high notes but she didn't sound nearly as bad as she made it sound like she would. Here's the set-list for anyone interested in that sort of thing. 1. My Rights Versus Yours 2. The Cougar Club or whatever could have been 1 million times better if they just used Demi to come out instead of Cameron Diaz. The skits weren't that great tonight, to be honest, but weekend update was pretty good and I liked the Death by Chocolate stuff. Digital short was a nightmare.

That was maybe the most uncomfortable I've ever been watching a TV show. I'm not sure if it was that much worse than usual but I was cringing the whole episode. I enjoyed it, though. Some great one liners. Dwight leaving his date at the bus stop while he kept on driving was great.

Well? I've heard some people here say they don't want to be old and want to go young. I'm the exact opposite. I want to be so old that I'm looking forward to the sweet grip of death. I don't want to be 115 or anything like that but 85+ would be nice. I guess I spent so much time building for my future that I actually want to have one.
