  1. Is Jin being dead off the island any more of a swerve then Hurley being in an insane asylum? It's how you use the plot device of flash forward. Watching the episode a second time the swerves aren't swerves at all. It's just what you were lead to believe - which is actually intelligent writing.
  2. This season has been poor? Holy crap. Scroby, the show is set in 2004. I believe that, yes, we are supposed to believe Sun is 24. The actress is currently 34 or 30 in 2004 time. I think you're on to something about the shadiness of everyone. Something out of the ordinary went down. How far-fetched is it to believe that Jin is alive when there is already one lie on his tombstone, the date of his death?
  3. The tombstone definitely said 9/22/04. I made sure to check the date. I was wondering about the flashforward aspect when Jin's cellphone got run over and it was so out of date. I also think it's pretty possible that Jin is not part of the "accepted story", so he is considered dead. We don't know all the facts yet or how the six are made to lie about their fate. If your husband was thousands of miles away and for some reason you KNEW you could never see him again AND you had to pretend he's dead because that's the story you have to stick to - you'd cry just as much as if he were actually dead. I, myself, think he's dead. But shit, you can't say 100% about that situation. It's still up for interpretation.
  4. Well - they are a bit different. Strikeforce is going to be showing clip shows at 1 AM Saturday night/Sunday morning. Not nearly the prime-time slot that CBS is giving EliteXC.
  5. I laughed at the sound of the AIDS particles fleeing.
  6. Ok, the thought of a once a week "what I've accomplished this week" meetings made me laugh out loud. I have to do that with my boss every Friday and most of the time it's not fun when I'm shoving shitty data in his face.
  7. With this talk of Chuck moving up to heavyweight to fight Nog... I suppose this would be as good a time as any to say that I was wrong about him having the potential to fight at 185. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I always thought he looked small and out-of-shape next to Rampage. I guess I was wrong.
  8. Imaginationland was one of the best South Park episodes (ok 3 episodes) of all-time in my opinion. I'm not sure what everyone else thinks. There was some South Park paint by the numbers there, but the woodland creatures and a lot of the stuff they did there pushed it in to an elite level.
  9. Yeah, that looks pretty good.
  10. Does anyone watch this show on the Science channel? If you're interested in the internet it's just an incredible show to watch. It's an hour long. So far I've watched episodes on the birth of the web browser and the Netscape/Microsoft wars, the birth of Yahoo and the revolution of Google, the Amazon.com and eBay business model, and social networking and the Napster revolution. It's incredibly fascinating how all of these things came about. I'm learning a lot of cool things watching it. I recommend it highly.
  11. It's back! 1201: Tonsil Trouble After a routine tonsillectomy goes horribly wrong, Cartman comes face to face with his own mortality. Wednesday! Let's hope at least one episode this season comes close to the greatness of Imagination Land.
  12. Yeaaaaah boy.
  13. Well, I'll break the chain here and say that I have no recollection of such symbol.
  14. Such a great final episode. 1) Michael is definitely not fucking gay. I'm sorry but that's just foolish on every level. 2) Avon should have been on the final episode. They sent him out like a bitch with that west side to Marlo. If they left it at their earlier scene that would have been fine. 3) I'd have like to have seen Cutty in the montage. Nit-picky things because it was so good.
  15. Yeah. It's simply not what they meant to be intended. I'm looking forward to re-watching this tonight.
  16. The answer is indeed yes. You're going down on Saturday. What happened? Don't worry - no shame in losing to the best team in the nation. North Carolina playing D = trouble for everyone else. Danny Green was a beast last night. Knocking down all the big shots, blocking 7 Duke shots, and posterizing the hell out of Greg Paulus. If anyone stumbles across an image of him immortalizing Paulus as a punk please post it here.
  17. I met Owen Hart. I got taunted by Golddust and Luna a long time ago. I also ate dinner next to Skull Von Krush at a Perkins in PA one time. The rest of the ECW roster, minus the big stars, came in about 20 minutes later. I'd say this was 98 or 99. Non wrestlers... I got just about nothing. I met Sean May and Reyshawn Terry in 2005 title year, so I guess that's cool.
  18. Edgar/Griffin is a good one too, despite not finishing the fight. Here's an awesome interview with Dana. I crack up at just the way this guy conducts his business. http://punch.freedomblogging.com/2008/03/0...ent-dana-white/
  19. It's hard to go against Brett and Jemaine on Day 3 (Flight of the Conchords) but that's a no-brainer for Day 1. Bejar's doing double duty, I see.
  20. Juliette had already realized at that point that Ben was not going to let her go home. She had just come from Ben's house where they got into a big argument and that's why Juliette was crying in the mirror the first time we saw her character in the Season 3 premiere.
  21. Apparently the coaches didn't get along too well. I'm looking forward to this. All 32 names are out there now, as well.
  22. Wouldn't Randy have to fight Nog first if Fedor signs with the UFC?
  23. I like "Special", "Am I Wry, No?", and "She Came Home for Christmas". The rest is pretty much background music for me. Anybody have any thoughts on Apes & Androids or We Are Scientists? I'm really liking a few of the cuts on Blood Moon , the Apes & Androids album, with "Nights of the Week" being the major highlight. We Are Scientists new CD just came out and I'm about half way through... so far it's playing out like the Stereogum review... some definite highlights and some headscratchingly bad songs. But their debut had some really fun songs on it..."Lousy Reputation" comes to mind. I've been a fan ever since I saw them open for Hot Hot Heat (fuck you! I like Hot Hot Heat).
  24. Fedor a free agent again? http://mmamania.com/2008/03/06/report-fedo...tiate-with-ufc/
