The IFL show last night mostly bored me to tears. There could have been a few good fights mixed in, but I fell asleep about half way through. I did catch Scherner get knocked out by the fat dude that's the heavyweight champ. My recording of the Xtreme Couture smoker cutout half way through Kim's fight but she was getting her BUTT kicked.

Eh - I pay for it every year. I think I get my money's worth but I'm not sure. I read so much stuff on there that I sorta lose track of what's Insider and what's not. I mean, during baseball season I read Buster Olney's links every morning and there are always some good Gammons, Neyer articles... as well as in-depth season profile and such. You also get ESPN the magazine but most weeks it goes right in the trash.

My alma mater, Cornell, is set to be the first team to clinch an NCAA tournament bid. They are up 3 games with 3 to play so it's all but locked up. My other alma mater, UNC, is getting housed today. They're down 14 at half time to BC on the strength of Tyrese Rice's 34 first half points. Yikes. I just turned in so I missed a show it seems.

In what planet? I don't even think that's in my top 10. My number one is probably Jack telling Shannon that Boone was dead when she was walking up the beach with Sayid. Either that or Charlie's death. Those two are easily ahead of everything - for me. I like Desmond as a character - he's one of my favorites with one of the best backstories, but let's not blaspheme and put him ahead of the majesty that is John Locke. Locke has been the best character since day one and nothing has ever changed. The only time he was slightly less than perfect was when he was Jack's bitch in the hatch but that's excusable because it lead up to Locke becoming the leader.

I think so. 1) His memory is terrible despite the fact that he's a professor at Oxford. That's why Charlotte keeps testing him. 2) He cried when Oceanic Flight 815 and had no idea why. That was probably his future self crying or something along those lines.

There was some light talk of Faber vs. Pulver actually being a PPV bout but Dana said at the Bud Light press conference that it's going to be on free TV this summer. Brock will be on the August PPV. I think it's good to give him as much time as necessary between bouts.

That was a bit of a confusing episode that I'm probably going to watch again before I make my mind up about it. But I'm a sucker for the ending. It reminds me of "...And Found" which was kind of boring but ended with Jin/Sun on the beach after the flashback to how they first met. I also loved that episode mostly just for the ending. This one wasn't boring, at all, but more like the sappy ending made me enjoy it. Faraday is a cool character. It looks like next week is when the heavy shit starts to go down.

That's a good point and is probably the case, but what this TV deal does is send a lot more available free agents to EliteXC then it would have before. Kimbo vs. Shamrock can headline the first card and that would be fine. I honestly believe that would do a pretty good rating if they hyped it correctly. By the 3rd or 4th card you could be looking at a Tito Ortiz vs. Frank Shamrock main event that would also pop a big rating. By then it's a 6-8 months from now and alot about the MMA landscape could be different. As Rudo said, this also humbles Dana and could force him into being an actual business man again instead of a bully. It could also land UFC on TV within a few months. It's great news.

I absolutely hate that Cisco commercial with the relief worker talking to his family/girlfriend through the Cisco networking screen. You know the one. "That's a very mom thing to say." Is it possible for that guy to look like anymore of a d-bag who isn't even remotely interested in talking to his family? I want to slam him through a wall and I highly doubt that was the intended effect of the commercial.
