Big Dog's still got it.

At this moment right now I'm cursing The Talent's bronchitis. God I wanted to see that fight.

No way Tibau won 2 and 3. Yes, he took Tyson down but what the fuck did he do with it? Nothing. Tyson was hitting bombs all night and bounced out of every takedown. I would have scored it 29-28 myself but I definitely give it to Tyson.

Honestly, most wrestling fans are too cowardly and uneducated to form their own unique opinions. However, every so often I read something insightful or interesting among the sea of bad jokes/posts by annoying, witless people such as yourself. You do realize that a very large percentage of posters here don't even watch wrestling anymore?

Reading the comments section on any junkie, mania, etc. blog post seriously makes me question society. It's like a competition as to who can sound the dumbest while also projecting the most confidence in their opinion. -
"Are you a mexi-can or a mexi-can't?" "I can't see fuck-mook. I've got no eyes." Johnny Depp is so great in Once Upon A Time in Mexico.

Ok - I just saw the finish to Misaki/Akiyama on an HDNet clip show. A few points: 1) I'm glad it was ruled a no contest because that seemed to be a blatant illegal kick to the face. 2) How pimp is Gono? 3) Not knowing a lick of Japanese - I was assuming he was giving him a positive talk. I absolutely can not believe that he was rubbing shit in and talking down to him like that in the middle of the ring after he beat him. Furthermore - I can not believe he stood there and took it. It's just further proof that I do not understand Japanese culture in the least. If someone tried to pull that stunt in the US they would probably get murdered. Granted - I have no idea what led to that but I was still shocked by it. 4) I can't remember ever seeing a bigger MMA ovation.

That's a good point. Maybe they all got off the island but 6 are famous? I'd say as of now the only for sure members are Jack and Hurley.

I agree. Now that I can get all the undercard fights I'm even more excited about it. I'm about 100 pages into "A Fighter's Heart" by Sam Sheridan and I highly recommend it. He's training at Brazalian Top Team now and there's already been 30 pages each devoted to training muay Thai in Thailand and a long stretch of training with MFS in Iowa. He's a great writer and he gets really in depth with all of these camps and experiences. Highly recommended by me. -
He was saying it - not he. He was talking about the island. Rewatching the premiere I was struck by how awesome the character of Ben is - perhaps more specifically the portrayal by Michael Emerson. He's at his best when he's captive. He slayed me with a few of his lines last night. Also: the piano version of Charlie's theme is pretty much perfect. It gets to me. It starts about 45 seconds in: http://www.divshare.com/download/3564735-93c

You have to deep down admire a man who freely admitted to taking steroids so he could look better on TV. I'm going with Timmay via UD and Brock via 3rd round TKO after laying on Mir for two rounds and throughly exhausting him.

You're not thinking long term here. It's probably worth it. I mean, I paid $250 to practically sit in the upper deck at a Wrestlemania once and that was when I was a poor college student (aka $250 = months worth of beer) but it was worth every penny. How often are you going to get the chance to see UFC live? Half the PPVs are in Vegas and they are increasingly moving to more and more locations meaning that if they come to your neck of the woods it's what? Once a year or less? I don't know what your financial situation is but even though it might seem like a lot at first, it's worth thinking about.

That's the theory I came to myself while watching that and the previous finale. Jack doing something bad and then coming back to the US doesn't make sense because there is a delayed reaction between his return and his descent into madness. Why would Hurley go nuts before Jack if Jack was the one who did something bad (after the island especially)? If I remember reading correctly there will be both flashbacks and flashforwards this season. I wonder how easy/difficult it will be to tell which is which right off the bat? I'm guessing they won't all be as obvious as last night.

Can we please not resort to this bullshit here? Is that too much to ask?

Right Shogun. Wrong guy. Chuck in the latest Sports Illustrated: -
Of course you can. If its just your thoughts, post whatever you want. One thing I'd like everyone to consider when constructing their own personal theories is that there are 47 episodes of the series left, which is quite a bit. I'd imagine it's not 47 straight episodes of these rescuers. I'd have to believe that this all plays out and the 6 get off the island some other way. They aren't going to do 3 whole seasons of this arc.

I was also wondering if people think he was real. I'm assuming that he was.

Michael and Walt - part of the Oceanic 6 or separate entity? Nice to see that Jack was dealing with it ok and then slowly started going crazy as opposed to Hurley who just went batshit ASAP. I wonder what they are covering up, though? First the autograph mention during the HORSE game and also in the text version of the Season 3 finale there is the part where Jack is trying to refill his prescription when he's out of refills, and the guy behind him in line says "Lady, give him what he wants... do you know who he is?" Do people remember that? The text said that you may have thought it was referring to the car crash but in fact Jack had become a major celebrity since returning to the USA.
-
In the same vein, does anyone read anything into Kurt Angle's heavy involvement in the UFC 81 countdown show? He was all over the Lesnar/Mir buildup.

If you're on the west coast and they start at 7 there then it shouldn't. They usually last 2:30-2:40 of the main card. I also think the title match will be last.
-
I didn't think that was a reveal at all. It was just the island, IMO. My favorite one was Jin's temper tantrum. Some of the stuff he was saying was pretty funny. The best one was Jack/Ben playing chess. That was a very good scene. The season finale with the text scroll on the bottom is fantastic.
