American Gladiator Power Rankings: http://livefromtherussiancompound.blogspot...r-rankings.html They don't include Monday's so maybe Militia can move up a little bit. I previously thought he blew but he impressed me in the Earthquake. I appreciate someone else having too much time on their hands to put this together because I find it interesting to read.

I do cancer research for a living and I'd be willing to say he was more important than me. Then again I'm not about to cure anything - I just do what I'm told.

Here's the twist for this season. Spoilered if you want to be surprised but if you read any of the blogs/websites you're not going to miss this one.

How about not being a dick? You say he did nothing for people, but for those that either use movies as an escape or for those who have some sort of passion for film - he entertained us for the past few years and he had a world of potential in the future that we won't have the opportunity, as fans, to witness. I don't get what the big fucking deal is with your type. For example: Eddie Guerrero dies, people get worked up over it and then assholes like you mock them for it. Seems the same here too. God forbid anyone have a fandom for something that entertains them and then show some sort of emotion when a person they were a fan of dies. Also consider that maybe, just maybe, your perception of people's reactions to this news is quite a bit off and you're overstating it's impact into something it's not. I mean, someone posts that Batman gravesite picture as a tribute and you blow a gasket. Chill out. The whole thing is a tragedy. He not only died young, but he also had a young daughter who will never get to know him growing up. That's something that I've seen at other places that's resonating with a lot of people. Ohhh, I get it now. You must not have gotten enough hugs as a child. And now, on an internet message board, you're taking out your revenge on those that have the capacity to go beyond feeling solely for their family and friends, because you're jealous that no one's ever directed that kind of compassion at you. Ok. You're both coming off as pretty pathetic.

Write flowery poems on message boards and talk about how Barbaro = jesus.

I want one.

"Ooooh bondage. I tried that once. All she did was tie me up and complain about how hard it is to be Dean of Medicine." "It's a Moose! On a Jew!"

So good. I laughed when I read that too.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

UFC 83 has been canceled altogether and the fights that were schedule have been scattered to other cards. The show in Montreal will now be UFC 83 instead of 84. Sidebar: do you think they should stop with the numbers at some point? Perhaps after 100? -
I feel as though this is a thread in which NoCalMike asks for advice and then figures out ways to ignore every single piece of advice he has received.

He's a young man, relatively. He's not even 50.

I believe there are a few episodes left... including one after the SB as mentioned above. They had a great two part episode scheduled for the post-SB spot but they said the one they are going to air in its spot is pretty good as well.

Without addressing anything specifically I feel like I can say that people's fears will not be validated. Only one thing has happened in the unaired episodes that I find awful and unbelievable but it doesn't involve any major characters and most people won't even notice it. I'll point it out after it happens.

ESPN.com, NBCSports.com, Sympatico MSN, Yahoo!Sports.com and FoxSports.com will air the weigh-in for UFC 81 on their Web sites this Friday, according to UFC.com. I just had a feeling that Brock would bring in the mainstream media and it would appear that is correct.

I really hope they listen to feedback to make changes for this next season. They need to get rid of Hogan and Ali for smarter more low key hosts. They need to stop telling the contestants to act and push a story. They need to get rid of Hit and Run. The first two things are key, because right now I'm fast forwarding every single thing that's not an actual part of competition.

Even though I'm not thrilled about it, I bet heavy on Timmay. I just have a feeling he'll paw his way to a victory. If he wins, along with The Talent and Tyson Griffin then I'll be in for a mega (fake) payday. I also went with Brock. I'm so torn that I could end up changing the pick 10 times but I'm going to leave it.

Wow. I had a hard time reading that whole review. It's on that funny level of bad where you can't tell if any of it is supposed to be ironic. Unrelated... here's the new Gnarls Barkley. It's no Crazy, but I like it ok. http://missionfreak.com/2008/01/28/justify...kley-exclusive/

The best part is... I wouldn't be the least bit shocked if it turned out to be a fake.

I feel like they have gotten better as they have gone along.

So, I read what I thought was a piece on episode 1 that promised no spoilers but apparently that idiotic writer doesn't know what a spoiler is. I stopped reading as soon as I realized but not before I found out that episode 1 is a I want to hurt this writer for promising no spoilers and then dropping that right in the beginning of his article.

Here are a few things I'm worried about: 1) Avon HAS to show back up. If he ends his Wire series run with that gay ass west side to Marlo then that sucks. Especially since their first jail scene was one of the best scenes ever. It just can NOT end that way for him. Don't read this unless until you finish at least episode 6: 2) 3) I hope McNulty and Freamon honestly get away with this. At the same time, I hope Templeton gets caught. And I realize that you can't have it both ways... so I'll probably be satisfied with whatever Simon comes up with. And Madman has it right up there. It's almost TOO good right now. The only blow away scenes are Marlo/Avon jail scene #1, Prop Joe's demise, and the end of episode 5 (which most will see today so I won't spoil). But it's so awesome because every single scene adds something. It's the little things...adding up in a BIG WAY. It's definitely rewarding people with good memories who have watched every episode of the series. I just love what they are doing. So like I said... not too many "oh my fucking god" moments (although I expect a few more) but just continued awesome build. Now a month to wait for the last three episodes. I'll probably just rewatch 5-6-7 as they air.

The fight science show on National Geographic was a great way to spend an hour. I highly recommend it if you can track it down. -
Well, now that it's aired... RIP Prop Joe. I made it through all the leaked episodes (1-7), so now I have a long wait until I get to see the climax. Ugh... my own fault, though.

Is anyone else having problems with channelsurfing.net? I checked earlier and it was there and now it's not and the link I had cached doesn't seem to be working.

I just rewatched the finale myself about a week ago but I'll record it and check it out to see what kind of cool facts they are putting at the bottom. I'm a sucker for stuff like this. Thursday: 8 PM: Clip show 9 PM: Season 4 Premiere: The Beginning of the End - Convinced that rescue is near, the survivors are uncertain whether to believe Charlie's final message warning them about their apparent rescuers. I can't believe it's finally here. I know it's only eight episodes but I have a feeling they are going to be very well received from the interviews I've read and such.
