  1. Get Victoria Crawford from OVW. Granted she's black, so one or two people may notice the difference.
  2. They wanted Krissy to be the top heel female on smackdown. How can she be used better than that? Especially considering tna already have enough women as it is.
  3. Boy, are they going to feel dumb once they've read that.
  4. Didn't WWE say on that ultimate warrior DVD that he didn't care when his dad died and just wanted time off? I don't like warrior, but that was a crappy thing to say (and probably slander because WWE can't prove that)
  5. The following is from Booker T's official website: Announcement We want to begin by thanking the many wonderful WWE fans that we have had the privilege of entertaining over the last eight years. Sharmell and I have enjoyed the opportunity to put smiles on your faces night after night. We also want to thank everyone in the wrestling community for their support of our very own P.W.A. (Pro Wrestling Alliance). The dream of bringing professional wrestling back to my home town of Houston, Texas is coming to fruition, and we have you to thank for it. I want to address something that has been on my mind for quite some time now in regards to my recent suspension from WWE. I want to state for the record that I was not taking any illegal substance, or anything outside of my physician's care, and that the suspension was unwarranted. However, rather than fight the suspension or publicly voice my discontent, I used this recent hiatus to rest, work with the P.W.A., and reflect on the direction of my career as a professional wrestler. I also, for the record, have never at any time ordered anything from "Signature Pharmacy". This allegation is upsetting, and the careless and slanderous reporting of this matter is currently being addressed by my legal counsel. I would like to also address any possible rumors or misinformation regarding our release from WWE. I had been unhappy for quite some time with the direction that the Company was going in. In fact, I asked for my release back in July for that very reason. However, after further contemplation, I decided to continue on with WWE because of my passion for this industry and my desire to entertain the fans. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that my unhappiness with my work environment was beginning to take a great toll on other aspects of my life. I knew that it was time to make some extremely tough decisions. Therefore, in the interest of my mental, physical, and spiritual well being, I along with my wife, asked for our release from World Wrestling Entertainment for the second time within months. We were graciously granted our release and we have since amicably parted ways. While the business relationship between ourselves and the WWE has ended, we will continue to be involved in Professional Wrestling. We hope that our loyal fans will follow us as we make this transition. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, and we will see you soon! Booker T. and Sharmell Yeah, I'm willing to bet that his supposed "legal action" goes the same way as Batista's (i.e we'll never hear of it again).
  6. WWE IS DOOMED! Wait, it went up? 4 Orton matches next week. No, Orton is only to blame when it's low. If it's up, it's obviously because of Hornswaggle.
  7. It got a 3.3.
  8. Actually, I think he's 5,8. I know the lifts brought him up to 5,10.
  9. I'm interested to see how Vince will push him. He's getting this huge pay check, so they will presumably feel the need to get their money's worth and push him in the main event. But he's still not the size Vince likes (5,7). And I'm assuming he hasn't patched things up with HHH either.
  10. I'm willing to bet Cena gets rushed back as well. I feel bad for Shawn because I think he was basically guilted into coming back way before he was ready.
  11. I feel bad for John Morrison. Batista is now bragging about sleeping with his girlfriend.
  12. Unless the plans change before then Chris Jericho will make his long awaited WWE return on the 10/22 Raw. WWE is hoping this will not only boost their TV ratings but help the Cyber Sunday buy rate. RAW head writer Brian Gerwitz wanted Jericho to return this past Sunday at No Mercy but both Jericho and Vince were against it. Vince thought it was way to soon after the video teasers began airing. Jericho wanted to wait so that he could let the tension build and also so that he can return just days before his book is released. If he promotes in on RAW a few days before people are more likely to purchase it than if he did so weeks before where they might forget about it's release before it comes out. PWtorch audio
  13. Fireworks are expected today in Atlanta at the Bound For Glory PPV behind the scenes as a contingent of top wrestlers are planning to confront Dixie Carter about the current creative and management structure. The target of their complaints is expected to focus on Jeff Jarrett. The contingent that is upset is led by Kurt Angle, but includes Samoa Joe, Team 3D, and Christian Cage. While Jarrett has a long-running business relationship that developed into a friendship with Dixie, Kurt's wife Karen and Dixie have become friends, and Kurt and Dixie's husband have also hit it off. Sometimes there is "talk" of this type of thing, but by the time everyone assembles, tempers or frustrations may subside and other priorities may take precedence. There is, though, frustration within TNA over the booking, manifesting with some of the decisions made for the first two two-hour versions of TNA Impact. Jarrett remains the person who sets the creative agenda that Dutch Mantel and Vince Russo follow. pwtorch.com They should air this. Probably be better that anything else on the PPV.
  14. Is there a source for the Krissy/Michelle story?
  15. I get the feeling Vince is going to be Orton's manager. Sort of.
  16. I think FX would be the only other cable channel possible. They were supposed to be interested in TNA for a while, weren't they?
  17. I think they could have waited a month or so and see what happened. They might have put O'reilly on ecw or smackdown or sent Vaine to raw. I doubt their placing on Raw and Smackdown would have been long term.
  18. Of course. But he can be, and often is, talked out ideas and angles that he has in mind.
  19. All those other times he wasn't being influenced by Stephanie and HHH. The old Vince would look at the ratings, realise a drastic change was needed and overhaul the creative team and go in a whole new direction. However he can't do that without getting rid of Stephanie (she's not the entire problem but she is a big part of it) and the chances of that happening are slim. Seriously, if Stephanie and HHH had the same power in 1997 that they do now, WWE would probably be done now.
  20. A lot of cable networks wouldn't be interested because they want prestige and respectability, which isn't something you associate with wrestling. Spike and USA have never had any credibilty to lose (I know USA has Monk, but that's an exception) so they'll show wrestling. But other channels would just turn their noses up at it.
  21. Where would WWE go though? Spike wouldn't be interested, and I can't think of any other cable network availiable in so many homes that would let them have prime time on Monday nights. Even if they did manage to do 4s or 5s again.
  22. I do find it amazing that no network executive (for either Spike or USA) has noticed the blatant nepotism of Stephanie's position and the dwindling ratings since she took over in 2001. Or, if they have noticed havn't made one complaint about it to Vince. C'mon, if JJ Abrahms hired his brother as head writer for Lost and it started to tank (to half of what it once was), how long would that situation last before ABC stepped in and got rid of the brother?
  23. WWE isn't willing to fix itself, though. That would mean a overhaul of the creative team, and the chances of that happening are slim. As for Hammer, I doubt she's an expert on wrestling but she's been watching since 1997 or so (which gives her an advantage over most of the Hollywood writers). She probably knows what works and what doesn't. I find it hard to believe she's suggested 10-20 ideas and none of them are remotely workable. Either way, ignoring her is surely just going to piss her off.
  24. how bad was it? i started watching again when they were already on USA 1. Spike felt, not unreasonably, that since Raw was no longer doing the high ratings they were in 2000, that they shouldn't pay as much money to WWE. Vince apparently felt they should have more. Also, I heard Vince was so tough to work with during negotionations, they completely alientated the spike people and then had no choice but to go to USA. 2. The last show on Spike, Spike asked them not to mention or publicise USA network. Vince then proceeded to mention the USA network a good twenty or so times for the rest of the show (they tried to block it out but eventually gave up) Plus, Spike is going fine without WWE. After they lost Raw they started pushing UFC, with great results. And TNA gets good ratings (and aren't nearly as costly or troublesome as WWE were).
  25. Bet Vince is wishing they hadn't parted on such bad terms with Spike now.
