I'm happy THE HAPPENING did as well as it did. M. Night shows that he is still a draw. Plus I enjoyed the hell out of the movie. Very 1950's b-level sci-fi-ish, and I love movies that don't take themselves so seriously.

I saw THE HAPPENING yesterday morning and loved it. I have seen and loved all of M. Night's movies (they aren't all good, but I happen to like them). I love how some people are taking this movie so seriously. When I was watching it, the whole thing screamed 1950's cheesy b-level sci-fi film. The overacting, the writing, the story and the music. I would like to ask M. Night if that was one of his objectives, because if it was he pulled it off perfectly. If not, it was a still a good homage to one.

I got these quick spoilers from Gerwerck.net

I only caught the first hour as I was really tired from work, but I plan on watching the rest sometime this weekend. The first hour was really good. I am getting behind AJ/Angle more and more each week. I just wish they wouldn't let The Beautiful People talk. They really aren't that good right now. They need a manager. I don't know what happened to Mickey, but it seems like she will not be back, at least from waht I read on gerweck.net. They should have a pretty boy as their manager. Also, not every discussion here has to turn into Truth vs. someone argument. Anytime I come to a post now, I have to scan through all the posts by Truth and whoever he is fighting with. Can't we just have a thread specifically for that or something?

That movie looks like all kinds of awesomeness. Gotta love that their bad guys wore wrestling masks. I love the look on the guys face when he opens the bathroom door. That dance at the end blows away anything that Toby McGuire did in the third movie!

Has there been any news on Chris Harris being brought on to tv? Last thing I read and saw was that they didn't like how he put on so much weight, and he did put on a lot.

Team name: The Freak Show? Also...Tag finishers...they seem kinda optional. Don't think that the Outlaws had a tag finisher, IIRC. Though I do like when they do them. *Favorite is still TOTAL ELIMINATION! The Outlaws used a double team Hotshot and a Spike Piledriver for a while. Bobby Rood trying to mold James Storm in his image and show him the finer ways of life could lead to some hilarious promos and skits. Yes it would, or Storm trying to toughen Bobby up by making him drink beer and forcing him to get in bar brawls. As much as I like them as a team, doing something like that, where one is trying to get the other to be like the other, will only lead to one turning on the other in the long run.
-
I don't mind Roode and Storm as a team because they laid the groundworks for them being an alliance. It's not like they just took two guys that never had anything to do with them and threw them in there (see this past RAW with Snitsky and Umaga). That being said, they shouldn't make them Champions.

I dressed up like Michael Myers when Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN came out, some kid saw me and started to cry. It was actually pretty funny. Aren't you pretty fat, though? Or am I confusing you with somebody else's picture? I mean, nothing against fat people, but since Michael Myers isn't, y'know, it wouldn't be that convincing. I have to drop some weight myself to portray the Joker. No, I am heavy (I've dropped 44 pounds since January though to get down to 250). At the time I was able to get away with dressing like MM though.

They didn't call her Moose Knuckles, just Moose. And at least they explained the name change on the PPV, unlike WWE that just changes Matt Sydal's (sp?) name to Evan Bourne.
-
I actually like Royal T, that has a pretty good ring to it.

for some reason I can see Booker winning the title that the PPV, just so he can be King Booker again. I know I can't be the only one to hear the king accent coming out the last couple of weeks.

I dressed up like Michael Myers when Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN came out, some kid saw me and started to cry. It was actually pretty funny. It looks gloriously cheesy. I have a real weakness for ludicrous action flicks which gleefully break every law of physics, the Shoot 'Em Ups of the world, so I wanna see this one. Plus it's directed by the Russian guy who did Night Watch, and when it comes to soulless-but-cool shit, that guy is the most soulless and coolest of them all. Hah! Next, let's remake Cannibal Holocaust and Pretty Baby. Although I do think it could get an R. Come on, if Grindhouse and the Hostels could all get R's, anything can these days. CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST is already being remade. I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of ISOYG, if they intend to go full on with making it extreme. 2001 MANIACS was a great f'n remake, and I am looking forward to THE WIZARD OR GORE remake as well. Crispin f'n Glover!

That was my first thought when I read this.

Great game, great win, fun series. This is something the NHL needed, excitment all the way around. As a Rangers fan, it's always nice to see an original 6 team win if my team can't do it. Congradulations to the Wings and their fans.

Hopefully he doesn't fail a wellness test.

The only reason that Lethal should keep the Macho Man gimmick right now is to have a backstage interaction with Macho himself. I can just imagine the whole thing as "Ohhh yeah, I just won the X-Division title." "Ohhhh yeah, you can take anyone Lethal." Both "Ohhhh yeah!" That would be kind of fun. Other then that, get rid of the gimmick once Dutt turns on him. I also think a lot of the old comments don't hit well with the younger crowd. I like Lethal and all, but it's grown old. Although, it took a lot longer to get stale then Stone Cold Shark Boy. That, I was tired of almost a few weeks in.

Today I downloaded the new Disturbed album titled Indestructible. It is a very good album, and sounds a lot better then their last two albums, mind you I enjoyed all their albums so far. It is a great sound, and Dave Draiman sounds great! Anyone that liked them in the past, I suggest that you go out and pick it up once it come out.

From Lordsofpain.net I'm growing tired of Jay Lethal as Macho Man little by little, and it looks like most people are the same way. If his segments continue to lose ratings, there is no way that he will ever hold the title at this rate. It could be a few different things. People hate wedding angles (very true), people are bored with a Macho wannabe, or American Idol rejects don't matter to people (Ace Who???). And once again, Roxxi and the Beautiful People gained viewers. This is an angle that people can get behind, because a lot of wrestling fans are the typee of people that were made fun of at one point in their life, and Roxxi is the type of chracter you can get behind. You want her to get her revenge.

Eh, Hardy did the clean job there, that seems to be the company saying "not yet" regarding him. Him being thrown into the mix just wouldn't make sense given the finish. I'm not saying they would do that, in fact I hope he never sniffs the title, as I can't stand Hardy (never been a fan of the guy). Just saying that there are a few weeks left, and they can always do something to make it a three-way and save the one on one HHH/Cena for later on.
-
There's still a few weeks left. They can pull a Shawn Michaels from Wrestlemania XX. HHH and Cena have a contract signing, and Jeff Hardy comes down, knocks out Cena and signs his name leading to a three-way. Cena gets pissed and heels up.

I'm not surprised it didn't get much fanfare. I'm actually surprised it was that deep in the card.

What was the point of having Crime Tyme come out?

I'm digging this Kennedy...Kennedy vs Burchill feud. Next week, Kennedy/Mickey vs. Paul and Katie Lea.
