I know hindsight is 50/50 and all, but this is like the Browns losing Anderson and Quinn next year and Dorsey coming in and leading them with a record setting offense and 13-3 record.

Hey, Maryland had a good run in there! But yeah, it's ridiculous. I think UT isn't as good this year, though. Vandy destroyed them last week.

They weren't expected to go 13-3 and be the Greatest Show On Turf, since their QB got hurt in week 1 and I believe they were 4-12 the previous year, but they were no longer an underdog by the time the playoffs started.

I don't think winning a championship should define a player in a team sport all that much, except maybe a goalie in hockey, who never seem to be credited with winning cups for some reason (at least from what I see, I might be wrong on that). Hockey goalies and pitchers are the only single players who can dominate games and give their team a chance to win single handedly by shutting out the other team, but they still need their teams to score at least once. Anyways, my point is that you can't evaluate a player with how many titles he won. It's based off how good their teams were. It can elevate a player's status (Garnett, Russell, Elway) but it shouldn't define someone like Marino, who did everything he could to get a ring and was let down by an organization. I notice no one ever really blames Barry Sanders for not winning a ring, and I think we should be doing that for more athletes.

I'm watching the Ravens/Giants Super Bowl now and Dilfer has been awful so far.

Yeah. I forgot him, Rivers, and Cutler. All solid college QBs. Money? Heh. You're right, considering he was considered washed up years ago, now he was having a mVP-caliber season for a while and now has the arguably worst franchise in the SB (although there's other reasons like coach, receivers, and a run game/defense developing out of the blue)

Anyways, I was sick last night, but I agree with the Ravens fans here (and even Marvin). It was a good season. We made it to the AFC title game with a rookie QB and very little depth at WR, with a trio of decent backs. I wish the season wouldn't have ended in Pittsburgh, but hopefully Arizona can take care of them now. I'll get to wear my Boldin jersey around and be called a bandwagoner for a while now =D
