So, looks like the Ravens might be going to Pittsburgh. Beating a good team 3 times in one season is hard, but I think Pittsburgh can do it. I sure hope not, though.

Bill Simmons did a "study" saying the road teams have been winning more and more in the regular season lately, due to big modern stadiums, advances in technology, nicer hotels, etc. It's not as hard to play on the road as it was in the 70's, basically. Take that for what it's worth.

Born in Baltimore, but moved to Florida and became a Bucs fan. Grew up a Jets fan. Baltimore got a team year after I moved. And I don't feel like ditching any of them.

Val Venis had most of his better matches in the 1998-2000 range, but he was still a competent worker who could get something out of new guys. Oh well. They weren't using him anyways.

I do think he has had a lot to do with the Ravens success this year. The running game hasn't been superb (fullback is a leading rusher) and the top receiver has been hurt a decent amount of time and still isn't 100 percent. The defense has been lights out, of course, but it was last year too.
