Wait, Swagger wins the ECW title then gets pinned in a meaningless tag match the next show?

I watched about half of Backlash 2000 just now to see if it holds up, and so far so good. There was a silly hardcore match with strange rules, and a meaningless tag match, but Malenko/Scotty was terrific, the opening tag match is solid, and Big Show/Kurt Angle is fucking hilarious, dude. I also miss the feel of 2000 WWF, and the commentary has been better than it is now. Still Benoit/Jericho, Eddie/Essa Rios, and Rock/HHH also. I knew this was one of my favorite PPVs for a reason.

This guy sure does get off on fining people. I wonder if fining people is in the bible.

His theme song starts OHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHH and I agree. Finally an ECW champion I like again. First time since.. Henry. So not too long ago. but OHHHHHH YEAHHHHHH

Ehhhh it was market value and Arenas/Jamison/Butler is a nice core.

This show was pretty brutal. Also, IIRC, wasn't Kingston a mystery opponent? Like Jericho had no idea who he'd be facing and here comes Kofi?

I have never seen RR95 yet, but it doesn't seem like I missed much. Then again, I tend to like the stuff most people think are crap, like KOTR 95, so maybe I'll give this a watch.

Bash at the Beach 2000 was awesome. I think this was the PPV where GI Joe beat Stasiak in a boot camp match, then came back as Booker T to win the WCW title. It was a true "glass ceiling" moment on the IWC at the time.
