  1. Basically it's time to just pull the trigger on a Jeff Hardy title run. If he has the belt and blows it and fails another drug test, then he can simply job the belt and be fired. It's going to hurt him more in the long run in terms of credibility to keep constantly losing title matches without ever getting a win.

But that would be smart and require HHH to lose the belt, something he won't do especially if he's worried about looking bad in video game screenshots in magazines. :P

  2. I have to ask...

what does ANYONE see in MVP?!

Good promos, good matches... What do you NOT see?

    He doesn't have "the look"

    He doesn't have the charisma

He looks like he's going diving with that awful get up

    He lacks in ring talent

    Ummm...I could go on...

There are things to be said about the other comments as well, but just on the attire note, look at the men in your sig. From the pink spandex pants and top, to the most homosexual (yet badass) robes ever...someone's attire should be one of the least influencing things on whether a person is good or not.

It was fine for the character he was playing last year. It's obviously stupid to say that his attire is holding him back...but at the same time I don't see that suit with a world title around it

But he's still basically playing the same character he did last year. Or did you miss the promo tonight?

Someone has to step up. They're pushing Koslov... but MVP is the best option IMO. The guy can cut a money promo...and he can work. They put a wall in front of him for reasons I just don't get.

It looked like they were going with MVP during the second show after the draft. Gets into a heated segment with the one guy the fans seem to love on a consistent basis, and goes over him. Looks pretty good up until the Scramble match... then it has been downhill ever since. Well, Trips did make him look good during a Smackdown Main Event.

MVP still hasn't recovered since Matt Hardy got injured. I mean, when's the last time he's actually drawn heat like he used too? Most of the time these days... he gets a very mild face reaction to downright apathy from the crowd. Only time they hated him was during the build to his match with Jeff, and even then during the match he was getting the mild face reaction.

I think they should pull the trigger on a face run, but don't change his character, just change who he faces.

World Wrestling Entertainment filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit brought against them by former WWE wrestlers Scott Levy, Mike Sanders and Chris Klucarits seeking to reclassify professional wrestlers contracted by the company as employees. The motion, filed yesterday in the United States District Court of Connecticut, was made on the following grounds:

    1. Their complaint failed to "state a claim upon which relief can be granted."

    2. Their claims were barred by "applicable statues of limitations."

    3. Their claims were a "impermissible attempt" to circumvent federal and state tax laws, with WWE claiming "neither [law] grants a private right of action."

    4. Their claims are "preempted by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act."

    5. Levy, Sanders and Klucarits failed to "exhaust administrative remedies."

    6. The trio "lack standing" to assess punitive claims on behalf of other class members (WWE contracted performers).

A response by the attorneys representing the former WWE talents is expected by 10/20, although they can request a motion for more time to draft their response.

    This better not get dismissed...

  4. Oh God, just posted on PWI:

We were told earlier in the day that there was an issue with Jeff Hardy at the Nashville International Airport as he was heading home today from last night's Smackdown taping.

We are still triple sourcing the details because we want to be 100% correct before we go with this story. Watch the site for further updates.

If that is what I think that might be (Jeff busted with some sort of drugs) its certainly ironic, given the way he's being built up against HHH at the ppv right now. If he was stupid enough to get in trouble with drugs again, the result of that match is most definately a lock. And chances are it will make a clear point at the same time about his future in the company.

If he gets a third strike violation I no longer have any sympathy. He was given 3 chances to clean his act up.

    If true, damn it Jeff.

    An 'issue'?

    That could be anything.

Why do you guys assuming it's drugs?

  6. Prowrestling.net is reporting that Batista has openly expressed frustration with his push over the past several months and has seriously considered taking time off as a result. He is upset with WWE's booking and feels that the company does not portray him as being in the top tier of performers. Some people backstage felt that Batista's clean win over John Cena at SummerSlam was an attempt to pacify him. Despite that high-profile win, Batista remains unhappy.

So I guess he won't be happy until he gets the title, huh?

  7. Guidelines for previewing SmackDown vs. Raw 2009: From Fighting Spirit Magazine, here are guidelines on how to properly preview the game - ""Got WWE preview code yesterday and, as always, screenshots have to be approved if we decide to take our own. So far, so usual. But here’s the interesting part: there are further stipulations that highlight which screenshots will immediately be given the thumbs down. These include screenshots of ‘superstars’ (not allowed to refer to them as wrestlers) bleeding, weapons being used -- and we’re not allowed to take ANY screenshots of Triple H losing or ANY screenshots of Triple H in a 'defenceless or vulnerable position'".

I hope the HHH thing is a joke.

Either way, this is the first thing I'll be doing when I get the game and I'll put them all over the net. :P
