Cannot find this online, but Arn Anderson from July 1996: "Intense pain is a wonderful thing, Gene Okerlund. Your life flashes before your eyes, things that are the most important to you become crystal clear. You start to begin to learn the meaning of life. Last week when they stuffed me in that ambulance and I looked across and I saw Flair, Sting, Woman, Bagwell and myself, I realized that we were people brought together not by philosophy, but by necessity. And I started to think, New World Order, New World Order, where have I heard that? And I remembered in the Good Book it says, 'When the new world order is put into place it signals the beginning of the end of time.' Well, WCW is our world, it's where we live and breathe. And if you want to destroy it, Hogan and The Outsiders, you've already made a mistake that jumps off the page. If you're gonna take a baseball bat to a Horseman, finish the job. Because there's one rule of gang fighting. See, we are the original gang and we're the most vicious in all of professional wrestling history. They send one of yours to the hospital, you send two of theirs to the morgue."

NFL Week 14 - Dolphins? More like LOLphins! Amirite?
JHawk replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Sports
I work with his brother. The only reason I won't run with this all week is he knows I'm a Browns fan and I'll hear "We beat you twice" as response. -
Weird voice mail I got at like 5am one morning after a night at the bar with some buds. "J-Man? It's Jason. Ashley wants to hook up with you. Call me back man." Three problems: 1. Ashley had a boyfriend at the time. 2. I don't know how Jason got my number because he never gave me his. 3. Jason was so drunk he didn't remember calling me. Oh well.

Why is everybody assuming Orton-Jericho here sets up anything? The Christmas show for the troops never furthers storylines.

If they're referring to TNA's website, that's because nobody who watches the show cares enough about their product to go to their website.

18 seconds is a long time in the NFL, and they only need a FG. It ain't over yet. -

What a fucking honor.

Depends on the poster. I think if Dames or someone like that broke down and said "I'm going to kill the next motherfucker who knocks on my door" I'd be thinking something's wrong.
-
This would probably be laughable had he not done it. Look at some of those comments. "You're full of shit." "Go do it." "You have to do it at a school or it doesn't count." Seriously, what the fuck man. That many people saw it and nobody, you know, warned the police ahead of time?

Just finished the tape of this. Holy shit, was J-Roc and War Machine an awesome fight. A shame someone had to lose. Congrats to Huerta, who by all rights was done after two rounds yet found a way to win. Consider the critics, myself included, completely silenced.

Compubox numbers are bullshit. I forget what round it was (the fourth I think?) where Compubox numbers only had six punches landed for Hatton when he had landed a four punch body combo with about 45 seconds to go in the round. No way did Hatton only land two more punches in that round. Don't get me wrong, Mayweather clearly won that round, but no way were the numbers accurate. Don't kid yourself. Mayweather did as much holding as Hatton did last night, and in fact threw an awful lot of forearms while in clinches. I will say Mayweather gained something in my eyes when he tried to put Hatton over after the fight and Merchant kept trying to deflect PBF's praise of Hatton into calling him out for not fighting Cotto, and I lost some respect for Hatton with all his "but he kept fouling me".

Detroit with an early lead on Dallas. -
My biggest gripe with the fight, and what makes me happy the fight ended in a KO: At the end of the 6th round, after Hatton had already lost a point for hitting in the back of the head,Mayweather not only hit Hatton with two straight punches to the back of Hatton's head but held Hatton's arm while doing it without so much as a warning. This is after six rounds of Cortez stepping in pretty much anytime Hatton got more than about two punches in. Cortez is normally a pretty good referee, but the first six rounds was so horribly officiated it was ridiculous. Out of curiosity, how had you guys scored the fight through nine rounds? I had it even (I followed Lederman's card with the exception of round two, which I had as close but slightly in Hatton's favor) and want to know if the TV watching fan had anything resembling the official cards.
