The Fallen Tag Team Trophy - For Tag Team of the Year TKO The Midnight Carnival Cup - For Stable of the Year Cucaracha Internacional (by default) The Ace of Clubs Trophy - For Heel of the Year (who's the greatest bastard? Who's the biggest prick? Who's the most evil git in the SWF?) Bruce Blank The Grand Slam Trophy - For Face of the Year (who's the archetypical hero? Who's the guy the fans love to get behind?) Zyon The Cyclone Comet Trophy - For Promo Writer of the Year (who has that gift with words that makes you understand exactly what their character is going through? This is for promos in general rather than one in particular) Tom Flesher The Nathaniel Kibagami Trophy - For Promo of the Year (that one promo that stands out above the rest, for whatever reason) I can never remember the promos. The William Hearford & Toxxic Trophy - For Rookie of the Year (who's debuted since Genesis VI and made a real impact on the fed, or you think has the potential to go on to great things?) Everyone I'd pick has been nominated.

The only game I should care about is Penn State vs. Notre Dame? That makes things a lot easier to keep track of.
-
For the most part it's geography based, as the Cleveland teams are all my favorites. Except for hockey, where I became a Blackhawks fan for no indiscernable reason. I do like other teams based on various reasons. The Cubs because they used to come on right when I got home from school. The Chiefs because I was pissed Marty Schottenheimer got run out of Cleveland by Art Modell and they snatched him up. Stuff like that.

Say what? It was true in 1987. Granted, there were only two others at the time, but still.

There is apparently a list of words that announces are no longer allowed to say on-air, including the terms “belt” and “strap”. They are banned from WWE, OVW and DSW, because Vince thinks they are linked to old-time wrestling. Kinda hard to enforce this when the titles are represented by belts. What's next? The WWE Intercontinental Trophy? The ECW Television Birthday Cake?

Then I've accomplished my job.

Actually, Leena got my pick because unlike all of you, she doesn't annoy me when she insults someone. <---engaged, and thus not allowed to publicly acknowledge tirts.

I might have accepted had I not already had something planned for Genesis. ::shrugs:: Oh well.

Won't be able to make the draft (stuck working the night shift), so I pray the computer doesn't draft the injured players for me even though I told it not to. Seriously, it's done it to me before, why should this year be different?
-
Who said it has to be a lengthy match? If it's relatively short, it could be passable (at least if Jordan is the underdog babyface here), and they're probably the two most recognizable faces on that roster. Why not do a full-blown tournament though and let people see all the "top" guys for themselves though?
-
That's actually a pretty decent roster as well. Hopefully this works for them.
-
What the hell, I'll make myself eligible. So what if nobody actually hates me?
-
Except he wasn't actually under a WWE contract anyway. They could have simply put a clause into his contract telling him not to talk on message boards if they felt it would be a problem.

James Beard was a fantastic referee for World Class back in the 1980s, and with WWE wanting more seasoned refs, he'd be a perfect fit. Unfortunately, you're not allowed to do things like utilize your first amendment rights if you're on the payroll, so Beard's out of the business.
-
Not to nitpick, but Hawke technically beat Blank in that match a few weeks ago.
-
On the show, they mentioned he worked a WCW saturday night show. He basically did the shows on the Texas border towns through that weekend and that was it, aside from the one TV spot.
-
They sure do. It depends on the promotion. I'm sure WWE allows the champions toc arry the belts with them since they're all under written contracts, but a lot of smaller promotions will keep the belts themselves to make sure that, should a wrestler decide to leave the company as champion, they at least have the physical belt in possession.
-
You do realize you tried this a few WrestleManias ago and it blew up in your face, right?
-
Eh, I don't care. The only one I found remotely hot was Milena and she went bye-bye. I just don't see why they'd even bring that Maryse chick back under an actual contract. I thought speaking English was a prerequisite for being a WWE diva since outside of Montreal they don't really work French-speaking cities all that often.
-
I'd do a three way with Melina and Kelly. Of course, it wouldn't air on TV...and Kelly would have to refuse to dance... ... ... ANYWAY!
-
What annoys me about being "dead" is I had intros and stuff written before I got called into work on such short notice that I couldn't so much as request an extension. *sigh* Oh well.

My reaction the first time Cena used the STFU: "Where the hell did he learn that?" Followed by: "Lou Thesz must be rolling over in his grave."

I'm sorry if Nigel doesn't spit water or do nip-ups to no-sell the other man's offense. Nigel's a god. Not the god, but a god.
